Dear all,

My Windows lap top is six-years old and quickly breaking-down (I used it to study for a doctorate that I completed last year). So, my question is: should I buy a new Windows lap top or some kind of lap top with a magic keyboard?

Hi, I am trying to decide on where to get a 64gb phone or 32gb phone. What are the communities thoughts? How do you determine that? What is the size of the OS?

I am finding it very unproductive when out and about to type quickly, such as when i want to tweet or write long emails etc. I wanted to ask whether anyone has found a slim keyboard case for the iPhone 6S that has a good keyboard and protection for the phone itself.

Hi everyone. I just pre-ordered the new iPhone SE, (or whatever they're calling it), and am now in the market for accessories. I'm upgrading from the original SE with which I've been using a Bluetooth keyboard case I found on Amazon. Unfortunately there don't seem to be any similar products out there for the new SE or iPhone 8. I've gotten somewhat better at using the onscreen keyboard, but I'd still like the option of an external keyboard for more involved typing tasks.

Goodmorning Everyone,
I would like to ask a question from a friend of mine. He has a new Ipad, with a keyboard bought in Apple called "Smart keyboard". He says that in that keyboard there is nor scape key neither functions keys. So, he would like to know what keys combination have to press to make the Scpae and to use the function keys.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi everyone I have been reading about smart watches and have to admit the idea of having one seems a good idea to me. I like that I could check a message or email without taking my phone out of my pocket. But my slight issue is has anyone actually made a one that we can fully access? If anyone knows of any then please post a reply. Many thanks John

As I couldn't think of another use for one but am curious to try one out, I have just ordered an AirTag along with a Belkin holder to attach it to my guide dog's collar.

I've never lost one of my guide dogs before, but curiosity got the better of me and this was the best use case that I could sort of justify to myself ☺️

Hi all,

I'm a software engineering student and I need to buy a new laptop. I'm completely blind and currently I use Windows with NVDA. I was thinking to get a Mac air M2 with 16 GB ram as my next laptop.

I already have an iPhone, Apple Watch, and Airpods. This is why I am thinking to go full-in in the Apple ecosystem. I will keep my Windows laptop and most likely convert it into a Linux machine.

Hi Everybody,

Here's another head's up. Sounds like a bright idea, but wait a moment. What if these new buttons are flush with the surface of the phone? What if we can't tell where they are by our sense of touch? What will we do then?

A link to the article can be found at the end of this post.

The article states, in part:

"Solid State Volume and Power Buttons

We all know that, these days, practically every major device has Lithium-Ion batteries that require their own chargers to charge them.

First of all, does a "universal charger" even exist where you can charge any of these devices on it?

Secondly, does one (that is accessible or reasonably so) exist with a bunch of ports where you can connect several devices at one time/in one place?

Thing is, I'm sick of having to keep track of all those chargers/finding places to plug everything in, both the chargers and the things to be charged.

For whatever reason, there is an issue where using airpods with voiceover on an iOS and/or iPad OS device results in the first second or two being cut off. This makes navigating by character, word, line, etc very frustrating. Similarly, there is generally a little delay when navigating iOS and/or iPad OS with airpods and voiceover. Its something that tends to add up over time. Touching the screen can result in a bit of speech delay for maybe half a second. Its something that tends to add up over time.

Hello,
My family owns an iMac which I use on some occasions. All the letters and other keys work except for the left control key and the row of numbers. The keyboard is not broken and I have tried plugging it back in, it is not a Bluetooth keyboard. If I use any diagnostic feature to check if it is software related, will voiceOver work in any special start up mode?
It is possible some settings have been changed, a family member was deleting their emails, but what could those settings be?

Hello, I am really trying to master typing on my ipad but I am having difficulty with visualizing the keybooard. I have two braille displays, but if I am out and about, I don't want to have to carry an extra device with me. Therefore, I am considering a case with a build-in keyboard. Has anyone ever used one of these? If so, how well does it work? Can I still use my braille display if I decide I want to use braille? Also, are there cases like this available for the iphone as well or just the ipad? I would probably get the iphone 6s. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
