wondering if anyone is using a synology or QNAP NAS with Mac or iOS? I need to purchase a NAS and am wondering which is better in terms of accessibility. Synology has some good documentation on their site but it's very much windows-based as it suggests a set-up based on NVDA.
Good Monday to all! Thanks for reading. I realize this post is a bit an off-the-wall topic, but I was just wondering?
Has anyone seen, or no of a case for a tablet, tablet may range between 10 and 12 inches, in in the exterior top of the lid when the case is closed, there’s a hardware keyboard visible and accessible for input?
Hello, I am considering getting a tactile screen protector for my ipad from A T guys. I was wondering if anyone has one and if it really helps find the buttons. Do you feel that the dot on every letter on the keyboard is too cluttered? I know for the ipad they only have one layout but for the phone they have a standard and an advanced layout. Also, do you think I should order a protector for an iphone even though I don't have one but I am looking into getting one soon. I already know I want the 6 or 6s.
Hi everyone. I have a question about SpeedDots and Apple’s 10.2 iPad and 10.5 iPad Air. For the past several years, the most popular iPads had 9.7 inch screens. Will SpeedDots make screen protectors for these new sizes? Or will it be deemed unnecessary because all iPad models now support the Smart Keyboard? Apple is making a lot of changes very quickly, and it’s a bit overwhelming.
Hi everyone. I bit the bullet and got the iPhone 12. I’m hugely impressed with it. But what really stood out for me, was the strength of the Taptic feedback, mainly when typing but throughout the hole experience. I was wondering if you all have experienced this, or is it just me being over sensitive? Also if it’s not just me, how did that happen?
I am looking for pointers to information that's likely already here on Applevis or elsewhere on the net.
I'm a Windows person but I've wanted to learn the Mac for a while. I've played with the voiceover tutorial on a lab computer but that's about it. I am a very experienced iDEVICE user.
As a technology enthusiast, I’ve been sitting here thinking about which one to purchase. I’ve seen plenty of unboxing and reviews and of course some issues with the iPhone 15 Pro line. I’m leaning towards more of the iPhone 15 pro. I would like to get some feedback from other individuals who have purchased the iPhone 15 Pro to see if you were having problem of overheating and bad battery and things like that. Thank you!
I got airpods pro today and 0the soound is amazing. I cannot get the touch controls to work though. Nothing I do works. I am using them with an iPhone.
Its just a patent at this point so no telling if it will ever materialize, but you can bet I’m sticking with PCs if Apple switches to a touch keyboard on their laptops. That’s fine for phones and tablets but I need physical, tactile keys when typing on a computer. What are your guys’ thoughts? https://gizmodo.com/new-patent-hints-that-apple-could-get-rid-of-physical-k-1823513657
I was on here years and then stopped because I didn't have any Apple devices. I've gotten an iPhone XR. I am looking for headphones, and good holy gods, let the troubles begin!
Right now I'm running Sennheiser HD25 Light headphones into a 3.5 to lightning adapter. That works fine, except for two major issues.
1. If I have music going at a decent level, they don't really let me hear a lot of what's going on around me.
Hello all:
i have a moderate hearing loss, and i was waiting this big improvement to make my Airpods 2 can get this great update to become a hearing aid,
but i discovered that, my country “Egypt” is not listed there,
am very frustrated and do not know what can i do? i contacted apple 2 or 3 times, asking them to enable this feature even for people who suffers from hearing aid problems, even if the country is not listed, but for sure, they did not do this.
so, is there a way or a trick to get this update?
Thanks in advance
So the subject says it.. I have just emailed Apple accessibility to know whether we will be able to run the new mac minis without a display.. Now that Apple has their own chips and all maybe this will finally become a thing? What do you guys think?
I have an iPhone SE 2020 and one of my favorite features was the stereo microphones. I have tried three recording apps that have stereo and now thh feature does not work at all. How do I make it work?
The Verse, which is truly Groundbreaking technology from Hooke audio, is slated to ship winter of this year. Though most of the technical details may still be locked away inside the super-secret Hooke labs, what do we know for sure about the product?
Hi all,
I got my Apple Airpods yesterday and love them, except for the slight lag I am getting with VO that seems to be worse sometimes than others, but perhaps the worst of it was last night when I needed to fully charge them.
Anyway, I was actually wondering if anyone has successfully used these with Audioboom? As soon as I start recording direct to audioboom, the audio and mic being used is through the iPhone, not the airpods.
I'm pretty sure I have heard people audioboom using the airpods but perhaps they had to record through the voice memmos app first.
Hi folks.
As the subject says, I'm just thinking.
Of corse, I'm wating for dec 12.
This would be for music production, and all that.
I was thinking of maxing it out.
16 gigs of ram, the Kore I7, and a 1tb ssd.
Just wondering what yall think?
Up til now, I've only used windows.
Hello. I have the chance to buy a used Mac Mini 2011 with a decent sized SSD hard drive and 16 GB of RAM. It belongs to an engineer who just has too many of them. I am writing this here becdause I am thinking about running Bootcamp and running Windows with JAWS, which I already own. I'm concerned about the 16 GB limit on these machines. But they are more configurable than the newer models, which have many parts soldered in. Any advice? Thanks.
Hello, Apple Vis community!
First and foremost, I hope you're all doing well.
As the title suggests, I'm thinking about buying an iPad as a complement to my laptop and a more convenient option for taking notes/doing exercises during theoretical classes, among other useful purposes it can serve.
What do you think? Am I crazy? Is it a good choice? How do you use yours? Any recommendations?
I appreciate your responses in advance.
Best regards.
