Setting Up A New iPod Touch

Hi, I'm considering getting a new 5th Generation iPod Touch soon. When you get it out of the box, is it possible to set it up right away with Voiceover, or will I need to use iTunes to enable Voiceover first? Also, I know there were some people who had problems updating these devices to, if I remember correctly, iOS 6.1. I was just wondering if it's safe to update to 6.1.3 using 5th Generation devices? I didn't have any problems on my 4th Generation one, but like to make sure of these things.

The same thing applies just like older generations. Turn the device on, then press home 3 times, the device should start talking. In terms of updating, I think this has to do with jail broken devices. Good luck!

Yes it is possible just triple tap the home button to turn on voiceover if you are running iOS 6.
