The subject says it all. I want to buy an apple watch to replace my fitbit ace two. The fitbit does work by using the fitbit app, but the bands keep breaking on me. Also, I want to track things like my sleep and steps without having to sync a device to my phone every day. What version of the apple watch would you suggest I buy? I don't want the watch to have cellular, as I plan to use it more as a fitness tracker than to make phone calls. Plus, having the watch with cellular would mean I have to add a second line on to my plan, wich is something I can't do right now.
Apple Hardware and Compatible Accessories
Insert yet another oh no, what should I buy post, and I apologize. But this is a large potential purchase, or at the very least monthly payment, and I want to make sure all my ducks are in a row and I don't make a worse choice.
So I'm currently rocking a Pixel 6 pro. I'm looking to move to Apple. My experience with Android watches was pretty abismal, though, so I have no real benchmarks to go on. I'm in that quandary of what to get, though.
I am currently using a MacBook Air M1 and have been using a MacBook for the past ten years. Up until recently, I would have, and , indeed, have, heartily recommended a Mac to blind users. I currently co-facilitate a Mac Users group for blind people in Canada. The reason that I say "until recently" is that the many comments from people experiencing serious issues with their Macs have given me some pause for thought. Personally, I have not encountered the "Safari Not Responding" issue in a serious way.
Hey voiceOver community
I am having some issue with the low battery alerts in an iPhone 14 Pro Max
Let me tell that I have the low battery mode toggle Off
Running the later iOS version 16.5 however in reality not matter what iOS version was running always has been the same issue.
The low battery alerts never has sound in this device.
in case some of you are asking what kind of battery alerts I am talking about is those alerts when the device reach 20 or 10% remaining
Hi,
I'm thinking of getting an M;1 mac mini, but can I use it comfortably without a monitor, or will safari and music be busy busy busy constantly? I see the mac minis are cheaper than the macbook airs, and it has the space for the periferals that I need. But I don't have a display, and I have no need for a display, so is the m;1 mac mini a viable option?
Thanks
Hi,
in this post i want to share my findings with a new Macbook Air with the new M1 Chip. I have bought it about 21 hours ago so my usage is limited.
Looks like Christmas is coming early this year. I just pre-ordered the new Mac Mini with the M4 pro chip. I also ordered Air Pods Pro 2 as a replacement for my 8-year-old Costco hearing aids.
A friend is contemplating upgrading from his 2017 MacBook Air to a model in the M2 lineup. As a frequent traveler often without access to a power source, he finds himself at a crossroads between the M2 Air 13 and M2 Air 15. The M2 Air 13 boasts a 52WH battery, whereas the 15 comes with a larger 66WH battery. Given his consistent practice of activating the screen curtain and maintaining a display brightness of zero, he's pondering whether choosing the 15-inch model would yield prolonged battery life.
Hi all,
I'm looking for a laptop, and I'm thinking about switching to a Mac.
I plan on using it to browse the web, send email, and do word processing. I also plan on running windows from time to time in a vm.
A friend of mine is insisting that I should go with the mac book pro, but I don't see why I would need a quad core machine for what I plan to do.
What are your thoughts on this?
Hi all. It seems my eight year old Mac, is asking to go to the recycling bin in the sky. It's now up to me to find another one. Here are my requirements, something not the latest, but able to hold up to the next few Os versions. I'd absolutely love a ssd. I'm thinking of going with a 256 but that's probably as high as my bedget would allow. I don't care so much about ram, processor speed that type of stuff. Has anyone bought a referbished Mac of any configuration and macbook pro air etc?
I am working with a friend that is running Mac OS X Mavericks on an iMac with a full size keyboard with number pad.
I have enabled numpad commander and checked the table to see if any of the key mapping has changed. Everything looks good.
When numpad 5 is pressed, the normal action is supposed to be identical to a VO spacebar. However, VoiceOver is announcing that focus has moved to the menu bar and as far as I can tell, no action has been performed. Very strange.
Hello everyone,
I have a question for those of you out there who have mac laptops. Is there any advantages to getting the 15.6 over the 13.3 laptop? The reason I ask is there is a fairly big price difference between the two sizes and I may be purchasing one soon. Thank you ahead of time for any thoughts on this.
Regards,
Greg Wocher
I'm thinking of getting one of these to do mostly terminal stuff. Do I need a monitor? Or is there still a dongle that I can get?
I am legally blind and my husband is totally blind. I have an iphone that I like a lot and my hubby is coming along nicely learning to use vo. He currently has a pc that I know is going to die soon and we will need to replace it. He works for a local church doing event planning/facilitating and pastoral teaching and blogging. We had trouble with screen readers of late and have decided to switch to apple. I am curious as to what route we should go. Would a mac be more conducive to his needs or can an ipad do what he wants. He does a ton of email and word processing.
I have an iPhone 4s. Would I be better off buying a new iPad or a MacBook thank you.
If you have used or you are still using MacBook 12, how’s your experience? A friend has been offered one for very good price, and the unit is in pristine shape.
2017 MacBook Air. I got it on 24 January
So I was using it for a bit, no bashing keyboard like a maniac, nothing like that. But then, the key just. Well !?., fell off. Literally fell off the keyboard, since there is no key to protect the wise any more, would Apple need to service the entire keyboard or just put down our key back on it
Just asking I meant the wires
Hello
I'm planning to buy MacBook Air. I will use it in school. I like 11 inch more than 13 inch. /But 11 inch memory is 4GB and 13 inch is 8GB. Will 11 inch enough fast?
Thanks
Last year I got an iPad mini-4 and a Zag. keyboard case. Didn't mind the keyboard keys being smaller back then... Now, , I'm considering migrating from the iPad mini-4 to the latest MacBook Air. Questions before purchasing:
1. Is the keyboard of the MacBook Air full size?
2. Does the keyboard layout include the control, option, and command keys on both sides of the spacebar?
3. What would you warn me about the MacBook Air before I spent my pennies?
Thanks, Warm Las Vegas Regards, Johnny.
