Hello there. As I'm thinking about upgrading my phone to the 16 here in a couple months, do things like a lightning femail to USBC mail adapters exist? I have a pair of ambeos that I'd still like to use and it would be a shame for me to have them go to waste. Is their a version of these that already have USBC built in? Or if yall have any better ideas that I'm not quite with the times with, I'm all ears on that as well. Thanks. Feel free to move if this isn't in the right place. Deeply sorry.

Lightning To USBC Adapter + Alternative Binaural Mics
Said official Apple adapter can be found at:
https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MUQX3AM/A/usb-c-to-lightning-adapter
, or the Anker Lightning To USBC adapter over on Amazon.
As for an alternative to the Ambios, check out the binaural mics from
https://www.sonicpresence.com/products/sp15-usb-c-spatial-microphone
, though keep in mind that the SP15s go outside your ears and not inside them.
I was not able to find an alternative to said Ambios sadly.
Apple adapter ,
15 Pro here. I bought Apple's adapter to use with my ambio headset. it works, but the headset app doesn't recognize that the headset is plugged in via the adapter, so you can't update the firmware, turn on/off the voice prompts, or change what the slider button on the headset does.
The headset combined with the voice memos app and the action button is awesome though! Plug the headset in, hit the action button to record and hit it again when you're done. This works even without the app being open. The only thing I don't like is that the recording volume with the app is a little bit low, so I import the recordings into GarageBand and turn up the gain.
@Brian
Good to know that the official Apple adapter does not see said Ambeo app.
And spotting this Reddit article I found from 6 months ago:
https://www.reddit.com/r/sennheiser/comments/1b5kter/ambeo_smart_headset_iphone_15_pro_max_anker/
, looks like the Anker adapter officially doesn't seem to work with newer iPhones either.
Glad ya found a work-around.
I wonder if Ferrite Recording Studio could also boost up the audio too. Same with Dolby On.
BumpGot my Ambio to work again.
Bumping this old thread, but I was shocked to get my ambio headset fully working again, still using the Apple USB C adapter.
Since Apogee co-developed the headset, one of the recording apps they recommend is their own Meta Recorder app. I downloaded it when I first got my Ambio, but couldn't figure it out. It hasn't been updated in quite a while but I'm not sure it needs to be. One of the last versions said they added the Ambio to the list of devices that unlocks the unlimitted single use recording feature in the app -- normally a $5 in app purchase. I decided to redownload the app to play with it, and was shocked when I plugged in my Ambio and got a pop up saying I had connected a compatible device and unlocked unlimmited recording!
Also, in the settings tab in the Meta Recording app, I saw a smart headset button. When I tapped it, all the settings on the headset itself came up. My app switcher confirmed that the Ambio's own configuration app had opened. I also tried just opening the Ambio app later and it saw that the headset was connected as normal.
I don't know if something changed when I updated to iOS 26, but glad to have my Ambio headset fully working again. Figured I'd share in case anyone else still has one of these and is using a newer iPhone.
