Calling all Blind gamers. I am working with a game production company to develop a game similar to Audio Defence. I guess I got tired of waiting around for someone else to do it. My game is called The Circus Masters Revenge. You guessed it. Instead of zombies coming at you. You will have 23 different kinds of circus performers that are trying to attack you. This game is still in the early stages of development. My first time attempting something like this so I am being very very picky. I don’t care if the blind community wants to play this game or not. I want to play it because I am a blind gamer that misses this type of game. I have to admit that when Somethin Else left iOS. I was really upset. I never even got to play the night jar. They definitely were ahead of their time as far as game play goes. Atleast on a mobile platform. Nobody since has even come close. This is where I want to succeed. Not just for all the blind gamers out there but for me. If you are interested in a game like this. Let me know in a comment. The more gamers interested in a game like this will help my game producers understand how important this game will be to us. I even got Marty from the blindfold series interested in this game. He is helping me understand the business side of this adventure. So when this game is developed and you enjoy it make sure you thank him for helping me out with the process. I will keep everyone updated on the progress right here. Thanks for your time. I will try my best not to let you down.

I love this game
Hello. I'm very happy and excited that you are making a game like this. There are not too many games on the Appstore like the one you and your team are making. If you want blind users to test this app, you can use a app that Apple made called Testflight. Also, have you considered making the game cross platform? Thank you so much and hope everything goes well for you. :-)
Mathew
Thank you for the information. I’m sorry to inform you, we have already completed game testing. We will be launching in ten weeks. I am sure you will not be disappointed

Game release update
I am doing a Podcasts show on Wednesday and will update everyone on the release of CMR. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to find it. I will post it here for everyone to listen to. Thank you come again ha ha
a podcast is all well...
A podcast is all well and good, but there are some people (myself included) who would rather just look here on the forum for a release date.
My promise
https://anchor.fm/mental-vision-games/episodes/The-moment-you-have-been-waiting-for-e4fp5l
I second Joseph
I didn't register on apple vis just to end up on Spotify lol.
For the people who didn’t listen to the podcast
For the people who didn’t listen to the podcast, if everything goes as planned they will submit to Apple for approval on July 11. Then, by July 16 it should be on the App Store.
Ha ha
Should be just in time for my birthday which is on the 23rd.
Uh Oh
Sorry everyone. Looks like we have hit some finalization snags on developing. It’s going to slow us down about a week. Project manager promised me that CMR will be live on the App Store by the 20th at the latest. I didn’t think it would be a big deal since we have all been waiting forever for this game to finally come out anyway. What’s one more week right? Ha ha. I have played it and it is freaking awesome. I love it. I know you Guys will love it too. Who knew this crap took so long? Ha ha I will post again on the day we submit to Apple. Keep your fingers crossed.

what is the cost
Hello. Just wanted to know whats the cost of this game.
Do you want to know?
Check out this podcast. I know you would love it https://anchor.fm/mental-vision-games/episodes/Mental-Vision-and-My-True-Sound--The-Bosses-are-hanging-out-e4k2qj
very good podcast.
Hey! I loved the podcast. I hope I could play this game soon. I can't wait.
Simple Answer; simple Question, please?
Hello,
With all respect for the time and effort you are putting into making those Podcasts: Could you please just answer the questions in writing? Some of us do not have the time to listen to hours of audio. I personally dislike most podcasts (so much Blah Blah in them...)
@Maxi asked about the cost.
You send her a link to an episode which is more than AN HOUR long!
Not sure if I am making myself clear here. By all means: Keep making podcasts, but please don‘t expect us all to listen through all of them.
I have to agree, its a good
I have to agree, its a good way to alienate potential players by just saying listen to my podcast and a good way to seek attention. the time taken to write such a message could have been spent just answering a question directly. I must admit I am getting board of all the hype surrounding this game, over 500 comments, and I just have a feeling being honest at best this game will be a 5 minute wonder, but once completed there won't be incentive for people to keep replaying it or for updates to keep coming out. anyway its supposedly only a week till the game goes live so not long for people to wait. I wonder if maybe adverts are displayed when the podcast is downloaded which maybe some sort of payment is made for when they are displayed and that's why the developer is directing us to podcasts and other media.
Its great he's passionate, but I just don't think there is any way the game will live up to the hype and be as amazing as everyone is hoping for.
game cost
The game will cost about 3 or so dollars. Could be a little more or less, but around that price range
Really?
Really guys? He's making podcasts for a good reason. I understand that you don't have time to listen to audio for a long time, however seriously? You can't just listen to a podcast just to get the answer..
To the commenter who thinks that the game will not "live up to its potential", wow. Why would you be bashing such a creative developer???
I’m curious
I’m curious to see what they will do differently from audio defense. I was a beta tester and I saw some stuff in the shop that was definitely not in the audio defense shop.
I don’t think you understand
Ivy came a game developer because a game like this is my favorite to play. I didn’t do this for the money or for myself. I did it for our community. If you don’t want to believe the hype, then don’t play my game. I understand there are going to be criticisms. Just enjoy the experience that we have created for the visually impaired community. Life is too short to be negative all the time. I think everyone will like it. Everyone who has played it so far has loved it. Don’t tear something down if you have not even had a chance to check it out. Our community is better than that. CMR will not be expensive to purchase. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
It’s OK
It’s OK everyone. Calm down. 500 comments on this subject, I am impressed. I am also proud. Our community is like a Baskin-Robbins. There are a lot of different flavors. Mostly good. Like most people will contest. Proof is in the putting. Try the putting. If you don’t like it, don’t eat it anymore. I am very positive that our community is going to enjoy this experience. If they don’t. Mental vision will go away. We don’t want to fail. We also don’t want to disappoint our community. Enough said. Moving on. CMR coming soon.
My thoughts
I have been anticipating the release of this game for a very long time. I didn't beta test but I will be purchasing the game once it's on the app store. There are certain game genres which don't appeal to me but I don't believe in bashing the developers just because their games don't appeal to me. Honestly, these people who continually criticise should think about developing their own games. Give me a shooting/arcade game and the occasional puzzle game and I'm happy.
to be clear I am not at all
to be clear I am not at all bashing the developer having any new game is great.
what I was meaning with my comment was that people need to have some perspective, its great we are going to have a new game of course it is. But considering how its been hyped and hyped and hyped by the developer and the fact that its going to be priced at $3 or whatever it was people shouldn't be expecting a seriously detailed game like I don't know heros call or papa sangre. Sure its going to be fun I am sure, but its not going to be like sighted games out there and so on. I mean look at how gold gun really hyped itself up and how that all turned out in the end. though of course the dedication and challenges that have been overcome to get to this point are certainly considerable and I imagine most people would have given up before now.
Mr. Alex Wallace
I understand that you are very disappointed and game developers. Let me clear your head for a minute. I am blind. I am the very first blind developer who’s ever created games for the visually impaired gaming community. Like I have said from the beginning. Who better to develop a game that really kicks some ass for the blind community then one of their own? Moreover Alex. There were 42 visually impaired game testers that loved this game. So being a negative Nancy in our community is going to really make them angry. Only for one reason. We took their ideas and criticisms very seriously. We made changes to appease everyone. Their ideas and opinions are what made this game what it has become. I did two rounds of game testing. If, you would have been willing to test. Your opinion would really matter to our community. Because you didn’t, it doesn’t. From someone in the same community. I didn’t make this game for someone like you who is always looking for something to complain about. Especially, if you have not even tasted the meal. I made this game because our community is tired of developers thinking accessibility is too complicated and expensive. In the blind community, we are very supportive of each other. Why do you think you are not one of us? If you don’t want to be supportive then we don’t want you in our community. I know I won’t be the only want to say this. Stop being so negative. Alex, I am not saying these things to hurt your feelings. I am saying is things to change your mind and opinion. I hope you understand that. Don’t ruin this for everyone just because you have been disappointed in the past. Mental Vision is one of you. I am doing this for us. I can’t believe how many times I hahe had to say that. Alex, if you are a visually impaired person Who likes iOS action games like Audio Defence. If you are tired of game developers not making action games, and treating the visually and paired gaming community like second hand citizens . We have worked too hard to make Game developers understand and try to consider accessibility important. I think you should support this game and Mental Vision Games. If you want a change in the way society ask tours our community. Be active in our community. You can’t sit on the sidelines and complain if you’re not willing to do something about it. I truly hope that you enjoy Cmr. If you Don’t then, save up $50,000 and hire contractors to make one for your expectations. If you need a friend to help you with it send me an email. Don’t give up on me because I will never give up on my community. I am trying not to let anyone down. I want support from my community as a Blind gamer so I can contribute to our community. I do not want to hurt peoples feelings and I do not want to let anyone down. I have already sacrificed a lot to get to this point. What more do you want me to do, Alex?
I for one
I for one can’t wait for this game to be out. Trust me, I’ll be up very early on the morning it is released just so I can grab it off the App Store. I know people have said this before, but I just want to put in my two cents. Thank you so much for making this game for us. As someone who did test, I thought it was great. But even before that, I believe it was going to be awesome. It’s different from anything I’ve played before, and oh my Gosh I am so excited!!!!2
It was awesome
I tested it and it was awesome! I can’t wait till the full game comes out!
joseppie
thanks for your reply. I am certainly not angry, disappointed or anything else you might imagine, it sounds like you don't like anyone even suggesting your game might not be up to all the hype your the one getting sensitive and angry and being unpleasant. I am realistic. I did enjoy audio defence when that was an available game. But unlike a lot of people in this community my life doesn't souly revolve around games. I am approaching cmr with the idea that its going to be very similar to other previous games in terms of mechanics style etc the way it has to be played. then once I buy it I will find out what its actually like. also I must admit the low price is also causing me to keep my expectations under control, as other games are usually much more expensive, and I have generally found the lower priced games tend to not live up to expectations. I am sure you have spent a lot on making this game but I doubt it cost you $50000 or £50000 to make, as if it did there's no way you could break even on it at $3 a sale especially once apple takes there cut. Of course I support new game developers, but considering the quality of most of the stuff out there its rare to find anything that comes along that istruly acceptional hence why I say to everyone don't get carried away thinking your going to have some kind of really epic game that will take you years to complete.anyway not long to go now, then everyone can make up there own minds not just the testers. although I am approaching cmr with an open mind and uninfluenced by adverts or hype, and its great someone is making a game I am not someone who thinks that an accessible game diserves automatic praise, if its great then of course yes it does, but what it deserves is honesty both good and bad. But I do fully intend to buy this game and see if the hype and over 500 comments has been worth the wait. as I have said before I fully support that you are creating a game, many people would have given up ages ago and not stuck with it like you have. I am looking forward to giving honest comments based on honest impressions. Your certainly right that blind people are the best to judge what they will enjoy playing, what makes for great accessibility and a great game though, and it is truly acceptional to find someone who is blind looking to create a game especially in the ios space so I am of course supporting you though.
I'm in agreement with alex
I'm in agreement with Alex, I think. I certainly won't bash the dev, but i do wonder how well this games novelty will last after it's been downloaded a fair few times. Some may find replay value in it. others won't.
Also in regards to the podcasts, I will also agree that not everyone has the time or inclination to listen to hours of audio. If I ask a question on a forum, I don't need an hour long discourse on the subject of my question. A simple answer will suffice.
Blind game developers
Hello Joseppie,
You made the following very bold statement:
"I am the very first blind developer who’s ever created games for the visually impaired gaming community.”
I would encourage you to step back very quickly from this claim, as it's simply false.
There is in fact a very long history of blind game developers, and I would suggest that you risk alienating a lot of people if you continue claiming to be the first.
Good luck with your new game and congratulations on joining the ranks of many other blind game developers.
Appreciation
Thank you for the support, Garnit, Joel, and all who supports CMR. And I want to say thank you to Mr. Alex Wallace for being a bigger person. I know you will enjoy it my friend. I developed this game. I know everything that happens. And I can’t stop playing it. Haha that’s for real. I am not a small thinker and dreamer. I want to achieve great things for our community. The biggest achievement I have is to open accessibility to every game console for our community by proving a point. We have a market in this community. We want to be entertained. Just like everyone else. Why do you not include us in your projects? Whether it is video games movies cell phones TV radio. Most of us have money to spend on quality products that are accessible for us to enjoy. If you want to increase your market. Let us purchase your product. Mr. Alex Wallace, this is just the beginning my friend. I hope you get on board with me. We have a point to prove to the whole world. Thank you.
You are correct
Hello Eileen. I know I am not the very first blind game developer. I think I am the first blind game developer for iOS. If I am wrong I would like you to prove it. That way I could reach out to them so maybe Sunday we could work together. I have done that with other developers. Game developers for iOS and beyond. Luckily I have found a few. If we create games to grow entertainment for this community. I think it will enhance abled gamers enjoyment also. When we can game together in a society as equal. I will feel I have succeeded in my journey.
Sigh
Hello Joseppie,
Sigh
You do have an unfortunate tendency to be hostile towards anybody who doesn't laud you and your game with immediate and unquestioning praise.
So, now you want me to prove that you are not the first blind game developer for iOS.
Okay, how about John Sturt from Woodside Apps? Or myTrueSound, who have blind developers on their team? Or, how about ... No, actually I am bored with this game now. I will let others continue with this list if they wish.
And, correct me if I am wrong, but haven't you said that you are in fact paying somebody else to develop this game for you? So, how loose is your definition of being a blind game developer?
The proof of the pudding ...
... is in the eating. Joseppie, you are a man with a dream. Don't get defensive. Rather, make your dream a reality so we can know it for what it really is. Rather than talking about it, sublimate your hunger for attention and do it! Do it with all your passion! The doing is what requires your energy. It is all right if people don't see results for a long time. You do not owe anyone anything. Only by talking too much, and setting unrealistic expectations, do you get yourself in trouble and increase the pressure that rests upon your shoulders. Show, don't tell! And in the end, if you made your dream come true and everyone loves it, the attention will be an added bonus. But if nobody likes it, you will still have made your dream come true, and that in itself will make you a very happy person!
If you are thinking about replying right now, don't. Put that energy into your project.
Cheers Perry
I am always with you
Hey Mr. Jo. I am always with you, and all the developers, who always wanted great future for our comunity. And I would say that stop bashing the developers who are trying to make games for us.
My thoughts
Hi.
Hmm, I honestly don't know what to think. Surely, a new game which sticks out of the shit pile we have for iOS nowadays excluding some of the more intrikit games, I have the distinct feeling that the preaching done by the developer are all big show and words to mask the ccontent of a possible, and I say possible small game. I learned long ago that hype is good on one hand, on the other it's always good to keep a sceptical look on things and not jump onto anything which might like look the next big thing.
To those who bring out their bashing arguments. There is a quite huge differents between bashing a developer and publicly asking questions or critisizing something. What this comunity needs to learn is that we shouldn't take everything what we are offered like a dog to whom you throw a bone. If the blind gaming comunity, especially on applevis would not shout down every kind of critizism if some comes up, we wouldn't be stuck with the unteenth bopit remaster or the crap pile which is blindfold games.
And, the second thing, some of the people need to think before writing and shouting around hey, stopp bashing the dev! I have noone seen bashing the developer here, just asking questions and discussing if the game would be able to reach the bar the developer said for himself.
So, now to the developer. You said when you started the threat that you produced the game for yourself and not the comunity. But now you state that you produce it for the comunity and not yourself. So, what is the truth there?
Also, you are not the first fully blind developer of apps, there have been many of those before you, so you won't get that crown.
not necessarily, alex
Let me give you an example. Its true. Sometimes, games that don't cost too much will not have much to offer. However. Look at audio defence. Papa sangre 1 and 2. The nightjar. Those games show that there can be; and are; exceptions. And now. Look at games from the devs of audio moto championchip, blind gladiator, and their other titles. I'm not saying their games are bad; their not. But for 15 dollars? Honestly, I expect a bit more quality than what i'm getting. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Alex. What your saying seems to be, good is always, or in most cases, better. Not really. Before coming with ideas of how something is before even trying it? Doing that will always fall short of your expectations. What i'm trying to say is, keep an open mind. Sure, some mechanics might be same, but that doesn't matter. You didn't focus on, o, the mechanics of audio defence are the same as of papa sangre 2. When you where playing it. Just keep an open mind on new things. If you always come with a preconceived opinion or notion about something, they will always, always; fall short of your expectations And Joe isn't beeing negative or not supportive of critisisms, he's defending his point. And what some of you may be perceiveing as hyping the game too much isn't that. There's a big difference between exaggerating, or hyping; something, and beeing excited about something, which is what is happening here. Joe is not hyping, about this. He's excited, who wouldn't in his place?
How can I be notified when
How can I be notified when this game comes out I am very interested on playing a game like this
it'll be posted
We'll post it here
You are doing an excellent job, Joseppie.
I was one of the testers for this game and, in my opinion, this game is great. I am very tired of people spilling there negative vives all the time. Complaining for one thing or complaining for another. The point is, it seems as if they can cannot achieve happiness without administrating rations of negativeness into every comment. The truth is, Joseppie, do not feel like you owe anything to the blind community. You owe it to yourself and that's it. If you are happy because you are making your dream come true, that's all that matters.
Lastly, I am very happy for you and I know that Mental Vision will accomplish great things. Keep up the good work, my friend. Do not let that dark clouds cover the sun above you. Always defend your dreams. They are yours and yours alone.
Those people who are complaining already, I dare you to come up with your own games and show us how awesome you are.
Be grateful that somebody is making a game which is different to the cards, numbers, fruits, text games, etc.
I, for one, will be buying this game as soon as it is available in the App Store.
I am here waiting for the awesome games that those Who complain all the time are about to come up with. I will buy your games, too. That is, depending on how perfect they are. LOL.
CMR will be great. It is already great.
Frankly, it makes me laugh when people complain about the price of a game. Whether it is too cheap or too expensive they will always have something negative to say. Come on.
Just keep doing this and, very soon, there will be no developers willing to make games accessible anymore.
@ drummer guy
Well said
