iOS and iPadOS Gaming

Calling all Blind gamers. I am working with a game production company to develop a game similar to Audio Defence. I guess I got tired of waiting around for someone else to do it. My game is called The Circus Masters Revenge. You guessed it. Instead of zombies coming at you. You will have 23 different kinds of circus performers that are trying to attack you. This game is still in the early stages of development. My first time attempting something like this so I am being very very picky. I don’t care if the blind community wants to play this game or not. I want to play it because I am a blind gamer that misses this type of game. I have to admit that when Somethin Else left iOS. I was really upset. I never even got to play the night jar. They definitely were ahead of their time as far as game play goes. Atleast on a mobile platform. Nobody since has even come close. This is where I want to succeed. Not just for all the blind gamers out there but for me. If you are interested in a game like this. Let me know in a comment. The more gamers interested in a game like this will help my game producers understand how important this game will be to us. I even got Marty from the blindfold series interested in this game. He is helping me understand the business side of this adventure. So when this game is developed and you enjoy it make sure you thank him for helping me out with the process. I will keep everyone updated on the progress right here. Thanks for your time. I will try my best not to let you down.

hello. I wanted to ask you that when is the second round will start? I am waiting for it.

By Joseppie on Sunday, December 23, 2018 - 00:08

The CMR developers are working on game enhancements from all of the feedback we have received from the testers. Once we have IMPLEMENTED those changes, I will post on here. Then and only then, we will be looking for game testers. Then, you could send me emails with your Apple ID‘s. I will put you on the tester list. First come first serve. If you were on the tester list for round one. Doesn’t matter. We are starting over with a brand new list for the second round. Please be patient. It’s going to take a couple of weeks or so, for all of the new code that needs to be written. In order to enhance gameplay from the feedback, from the first round of game testing. There was some really positive feedback and not too many negative feedbacks. It might take less than two or three weeks. hopefully, I will know more by this time next week. I have been so busy, I had to turn down a podcast interview and haven’t been able to keep up with my blog. This game is more important right now, than anything else.
For those of you who have game tested for Mental Visions first round. I hope that you had a lot of fun with CMR. Second round has some surprises for you. Circus Master says, ( i’m not taking it easy on you little Blind babies anymore.) he such a jerk!!! Ha ha

By Igna Triay on Sunday, December 23, 2018 - 00:08

give your feedback. very few people have given feedback, from the 25 testers; only 7 or so are givining constant feedback. This app is going great; but people; if you want to make it the best out there... the best it can possibly be... we needd to work together. just 7 or so people giving feedback is not enough. If you haven't completed the stages; its fine. no problem. but please. Give your feedback. Beta testing an app is not work for just 7 or so people. If you don't know how to use the test flight app; just send your feedback to the dev via email... But we need to work on this as a team if we want to make it great. I'm not bashing anyone with this, i just want to let those people who haven't given feedback to step up. Us 7 or 8 beta testers who have given constant feedback is not enough. Step up, people.

Ha ha. I couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s going to take a community. The best community. A handy capable community. To make CMR the best one yet. All we need is love. Love is all we need. If you don’t feel like giving feedback on the test Flight app. I understand. That is why I gave you my email address. I know all of you are smart enough to at least send an email because you sent me one with your Apple ID. If you just think that CMR is a waste of your time. That is fine. You have only tested the baby version. Round two is going to blow your socks off. It might even blow your Granny’s off too. Especially, if you let us know what you think we should improve on. Hope to hear from you guys soon. If not. Have a good new year.

By Andrew Adolphson on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

Happy new year everyone. Hope you all had a relaxing Christmas! I am just wondering when the next beta testing of CMR will be? I would like to be able to get on as soon as possible

By roman on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

Happy new year to everyone. I am so excited for the second round of the game. Even tho I didn't give much input, but I loved it and it looked perfact to me. I wood like to join the second round of the game. Thanks.

By Joseppie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

We are waiting from everyone who tested round one. Once they give us their feedback on how to improve. We will start around two. Out of 25 people. We have only received feedback from five testers. That’s not enough. I know it is good. I believe it could always be better. Don’t we all want this game to be awesome. I need your help. Maybe when this game is complete. Game developers will know how serious we are as a Community about playing action games.

By Joseppie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

Those of you who have given feedback. Thank you. We are probably not going to do a round two of testing. Obviously it doesn’t matter as much as it was supposed to. I will be letting everyone know here when we launch.. Thank you for the help. Appreciate it. e

hi!
I am looking forward to play this game.
I hope it will be released very soon

By Mich240 on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

The game sounds awesome, I wish I was able to test it anyway... Is there a planned release date yet?

By Joseppie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

I am trying to stay positive. We are getting more feedback now. There still may be a round two of testing after all. I cannot make any promises as of right now. When I know more I will post it Here. We have some issues to figure out before we can plan a release date. This game is going to be amazing when we are finished. It will be the new standard for action games with accessible and inclusive features. Keep the faith and I will also.

By roman on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

I'll be on your side. I know it will be an awsam game!

By Joseppie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

A game is only as good as the people who play it. I am lucky because, I have the best people in the world wanting to play CMR. Our community is the most special community in the world. We are the ones that are always taken for granted. Ignored. Left out. And afterthought. I created CMR to show other developers we are handy capable not handicapped. I believe in this project. I know some of you do also. For that, I am grateful.

Amen to that! Very well said brother.

By Joseppie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

Here I am. Sitting in front of my Mac computer. Reading what I have been writing for the last three days. Excuse my language. Holy old shit! Where the hell did this crap come from? All of you who are able to get this far in CMR, are going to get your asses kicked. Don’t worry. I am going to get my ass kicked too. Ha ha. Even when I know it’s coming. Don’t worry. I gave us some pretty kick ass weapons to get through it. My sound FX specialist is making it freaking awesome. Can’t wait to see what he comes up with next. Ghana be Fruit Loops with cactus spikes poke your ass. Ha ha. You have been warned.

By roman on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

I am so excited! I am a bad ass fighter. I will show him! and sorry guys for my ruff language.

By Mr. 1 & Only on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

Congratulations on your for Ray into app development and for bringing back an awesome game like audio defense; I am with you, willing to be a beta tester and will support the game in every way possible.

By Hunter on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

Hello, is there an official date for the game? I am very excited about this.

By Joseppie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

In reply to by Hunter

We haven’t confirmed a release date just yet. We are shooting for the middle of March. We hope sooner. We will have to see how it goes. Everyone is working very hard. It will be soon. Just hang in there. It will be worth it.

By maxi on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

how many levels are in the final game?

By Joseppie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

In reply to by maxi

There are no levels in CMR. We have stages. Chapter one had nine stages chapter 2 will probably have more. I am planning on creating five chapters all together. I am creating chapter 3 right now. I hope that answers your question.

By Maranatà on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

Hello! First of all, thank you very much for the game you are preparing for, I can not wait to go out and start playing! But I would have one thing to ask: could you translate the game into Italian as did the developer of Feer? Of course I could understand the game even if it is not in my language but for me it would be a bit 'tiring and I could not immediately enjoy all the potential it offers. Thank you so much for the attention and long life to this game!

By roman on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

I am waiting for this fabulas game.

By Joseppie on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

We are trying to make this game inclusive for everyone on this planet. You know and I know, it can not be accessible for everyone. I will try my best. We will try to have a language option in the settings menu. Eventually we will prove to other developers there is a strong market for disabled gamers. We are hungry for entertainment. We are tired of being second class citizens. Now is our time and we are not going anywhere.

By ming on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

hi!
are you going to do a TEASER or trailor of this game somewhere?

By kool_turk on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 - 00:08

Unless this thing has graphics, I doubt a sighted person will keep at it for a few minutes, or even hours.

I managed to introduce my nephew to a game which sadly is no longer in the app store, because it was never updated when apple moved their apps to 64 bit, that game was called Audio Archery.

A nice and simple game most sighted would be able to pick up.

Now after some time past, I thought I'd try again, this time with a blind legend.

He wasn't able to play that one, probably because he isn't use to 3d sound.

He kept going round in circles when trying to go and pick up his sword.

Simple games like zany touch and audio archery, no problem, but a game with 3d audio, I honestly don't know.

Maybe it just depends on the person.

We already did a trailer for this game You will have to read in my previous comments to find it.

When we launch on the App Store this game will not have aNy graphics. As we keep adding chapters to the game, we will introduce a basic graphic. Then the visually abled gamers can play it. They will have to play without site in order to get the graphics. In this way, they will be able to understand how we play games as a blind community. Maybe then, the word accessibility will not be a scary word anymore. Especially for regular game developers. If I have to lead the way for our community to be treated as equal then, I’ll do whatever I can.

if i was in the first round of testing, wmust i apply again?

By Sabrina on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

I would like to be a beta tester in the second round of testing.

By Joseppie on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

Girl power indeed! If you haven’t noticed by now, the second round of game testing sign-up has begun. In 24 hours, there has been 20 testers who have signed up. Nine of them are females. Holy crap! I never would have thought that women like to kill clowns as much as men. I was definitely wrong. Ha ha. We are running out of spots. Happy hunting.

By Joseppie on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

Mental Vision Games has a new Facebook page. If you are on Facebook, come on by and check it out. It is brand new and we are still working on it. Would be an easier way to communicate. If you’re not on Facebook then, that is OK. I will still be updating this forum occasionally. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Happy hunting.

By Joseppie on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

Shame on the persons who were bashing the game developers for GoldGun. For one. There are not very many game developers who create games for the blind community. Number two. Are you trying to run game developers often will make games that we can play? Number three there were a lot of people who wanted to finish the storyline for that game. Now, the developer might not ever finish the game. You may have ruined it for everyone else. If you are going to complain about gold gun. Please don’t play CMR. There is a lot of blind bashing in this game. If your feelings get hurt easy then don’t play my damn game I am a blind person. I wrote the storyline and a dialogue. How are you going to tell a blind person that they are being disrespectful to other blind people. If we can’t laugh at our disabilities and make fun of ourselves then, quality of life is not going to be as good as it should be. If my true sound was making fun of blind people and it was not funny. I would be on the front lines yelling at them also. They did nothing wrong. People need to stop making mountains when it’s only a mole hill. We as a community cannot afford to lose game developers Who make video games just for our community to enjoy. Isn’t life hard enough as it is? Put your damn grown-up pants on and stop being immature. Your complaining affects everyone when a game developer wants to walk away from us. That is really sad.

By Joel on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

I hope that other companies who wish to make games for us don’t see how people have treated MyTrueSound. after they realize how vicious people were to them, I doubt they’ll want to make games for us. Personally, I feel that the developer of GoldGun did nothing wrong. And to think that we’re complaining because we don’t have enough audio games, and then when a company tries to make one, we viciously bash it.

By DrummerGuy on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

I totally agree with you, bro. It is too sad that these things happen.
Well, I guess some people feel so insecure and carry too many complexes and, therefore, have a very thin skin. I guess they just end up seeing things where there's nothing to see. LOL.
I truly hope that the developers of GG don't give up and don't pay attention to the negativity of some people.
Peace.

By garnit on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

I agree that it’s awful about what happened with the developers of gold gun. I did play the game, and thought it was very good. I don’t no why everybody was so negative about it honestly. I just hope that people realize that not everyone in the blind communities like that, and that many of us will appreciate any effort by developers to make games we can play. I hope that something like this won’t happen again.

By Igna Triay on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

two words. holy. cow. what a speech! lol. agree with you 100percent. well said. Very, very well said

By ming on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

support those of you great apps developers who are producing great games for us!
and I hope the goldgun will be up and start producing again.

I don't like to have too many text games and card games.\]
although we are blind and have visually impaired we have to enjoy playing great games like sighted people do!
and even we are visually impaired! it doesn't mean that we just can play text games and card games.

we should have more games like goldgun and CMR.

I don't understand that why people are making funn of my true sound? Because they are trying to make game for us? ? I am totally agreed that there are few people who are trying to make game for us. I am agree with you Mr.jo.

By Apprentice Of Odin on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

Greetings, Joseppie. This game sounds extremely awesome, and I cannot wait to play it. Keep up the good work.

By Joseppie on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

Thank you for the optimism apprentice of oden. That’s a cool name by the way. For everyone else. Game testing has been delayed for the second round due to technical difficulties with the horizontal mode. Didn’t realize it was such a pain in the butt. Have been working on it for six months now and it is still not perfected. Don’t worry. We will start the game testing soon. Please be patient with us. I have played the new updated version and it kicks butt. It is only better because of all the feedback from round one of testing. Thanks to everyone who participated. I am very happy with it.

By Lielle ben simon on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

Hi, can i check it out this game? It's possable? Thanks!

By Hunter on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

In reply to by Lielle ben simon

Hi, when will the invitations be sent out so we can test the game?

By Joel on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

I think it is because the developer is fixing a critical bug that occurs in landscape mode.

By Joel on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

I assume that it’s fixed by now?

By garnit on Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 00:08

Maybe it’s fixed, but maybe not. Some of these issues can take a long time to fix. Not that I know anything about any of this, but from what I’ve heard I know it can be more complicated than you might think. I’m sure they’ll get it done as soon as they can. Just as a sidenote, there are now over 400 comments on this forum. Not sure why I felt the need to mention it, but I just noticed it.
