Calling all Blind gamers. I am working with a game production company to develop a game similar to Audio Defence. I guess I got tired of waiting around for someone else to do it. My game is called The Circus Masters Revenge. You guessed it. Instead of zombies coming at you. You will have 23 different kinds of circus performers that are trying to attack you. This game is still in the early stages of development. My first time attempting something like this so I am being very very picky. I don’t care if the blind community wants to play this game or not. I want to play it because I am a blind gamer that misses this type of game. I have to admit that when Somethin Else left iOS. I was really upset. I never even got to play the night jar. They definitely were ahead of their time as far as game play goes. Atleast on a mobile platform. Nobody since has even come close. This is where I want to succeed. Not just for all the blind gamers out there but for me. If you are interested in a game like this. Let me know in a comment. The more gamers interested in a game like this will help my game producers understand how important this game will be to us. I even got Marty from the blindfold series interested in this game. He is helping me understand the business side of this adventure. So when this game is developed and you enjoy it make sure you thank him for helping me out with the process. Funny? Game testers information.

I shared it here because I thought it was hilarious. Plus, I don’t know where else I could have shared it other than my blog. Not too many people follow my blog.

Anyways. For game testers. I will be sending you an email very soon to confirm that you still want to test. If I do not get a response. I will take you off the list because I have a back up list with 10 other people who want to game test.

As far as CMR release to the public. We are shooting for January. Hope you are as excited as I am. This game is not a clone of Audio Defence. The only thing similar to it is the audio engine. In my opinion our engine is better. Plus it’s got a better storyline and easier ways to get upgrades that don’t cost money. I do believe this inclusive game will help other developers understand that handy Capable people really do play video games Too.

In the developer world and circles that I’m in. They do not believe there is a market for us. They are wrong. This is a way we can show them.

I did not do all of this so I could make money. I did all this because not many Devs consider us when making video games. I thought if I could do it. Maybe it would wake their asses up. Hope that it works.

it is true that, some people are not getting that, we are also humans! we also want to play games like sited people.

I think the reason they say

I think the reason they say there isn't a market is because of scale, I mean they make a game for us and will be lucky if they get a few hundred or thousand downloads, but sighted games have access to a market with potentially millions of players. so yes there is a market but its a small one, and also one that needs to keep people coming back to be sustainable, its no good if a developer makes a game, gets some purchases on initial release but then 6 months later none at all.
of course you didn't do it to make money nobody is going to make money for making audio games for blind players but it has to be sustainable to allow for creation of more games.
to give you an example, recently I downloaded and played the pc game called toom hunter, that has a part on the main screen where it says how many times it has been run, it came out a few months ago and when I last played it said the game had been run about 6000 times, its not a game I will be playing again because of no replay value so therefor I think the market for this game will tale off eventually.

Inclusive/accessibility ysss

This is why accessibility is now changing to the term inclusive. Developers for inclusive will make games and entertainment that are accessible to everyone. The market for everyone is huge. If your product can be used by everyone. Your product will be successful. So a regularly abled person can play video games on all gaming platforms with anyone interested in their product. Accessibility will no longer mean easy to obtain. Inclusive will mean everyone can play and enjoy your game. This will increase social and enjoyment values. Thank you for your input Alex. Game Testing

The Audio Engineers have figured out a way to enhance the 3D audio. Because of this. Game testing will be postponed for another month. I know this is aggravating. But it will be worth the wait. I get a sample of the audio on Friday. I hope you guys understand and are not too upset. I hope that this is the last snag and game development for testing. Please be patient. Thank you in advance

Yeah, I too loved audio Defence. I held on to it as long as I could and mysteriously, it was somehow lost from my cloud account. You shouldn't lose something you paid for. Even if it's removed from the AppStore.

I agree with you Martin. I was pretty upset when that happened. This is why I created CMR. Not to replace AD. I know it left a gap when Somethin Else left and took their toys with them. Some people still have their games. We lost them when Apple updated their software. I really don’t want that to happen to me. I will try to learn from their mistakes. Our community will be better off for having played there games ,but Now it is up to us to make video games better and more inclusive for all communities. . I just hope that other developers follow suit.

The test has not started yet, but it will start [not sure when it will] but I'm a bata tester as well. I'm very excited for this moment, because I might even be testing 2games besides CMR I'm gonna test another game as well, so I'm very excited!

20 of 25 testers have responded so far. 12 more hours to go. Then I will cross out their names and move on To the back up list. After all 25 spots on the list are full I will submit those Apple IDs to the project manager. Sometime soon he will send you an invitation for TestFlight. Do not get in a hurry. Anything can happen between now and testing. Apple Hass to review the game before we are allowed to start testing. Starting next week we will submit it to Apple. Sometime between two and six working days they will approve it or ask us to make revisions. Assuming everything goes well. Testing should start by December 7th. Good luck everyone. Happy testing.

Thought I‘d let you know that the developer gave clearer instructions how to sign up for the Beta Test back in Comment #86 or something. You may want to follow these to make sure you get in. I quote:
„(...) If you are serious about being a game tester I would like you to send me an email with your first name and a little about yourself. Let me know if you are visually impaired. If you are cited (sic) or not doesn’t matter to me. I have to know either way so that I can give it an equal ratio. (...) Here is the email address you will need to send your info to.

As the developer also pointed out, the beta list is as good as full, but there‘s a waiting list if potential beta testers fail to respond in time.

My name is Andrew Adolphson. I really enjoyed playing Audio defense. Very sad that it is gone. Spent hours developing my shooting skills. If this game becomes a reality, I would very much play it. CMR Is already becoming reality. We start game testing on the 7th of December. When it is launched on the App Store. I will post a link to it here on this forum. Marty Shultz already knows about this game. I am sure he will let blind fold gamers on Facebook know to check it out. I am not going to charge that high of a price for my game. There is no need for that. I know I am not going to be a rich man because of this game. Nor do I want to be. I made this game because game developers do not think there is a market for inclusive design games. I just want to prove them wrong. We are doing that. Every penny I make from CMR, will go straight into my next inclusive design action video game. I hope you enjoy it when it comes out. I have played it and it is fun.

It's just an honest question.

I understand that you want people to find out for themselves out how the game plays, but personally, I don't believe being patronizing is ever the right answer. It just seems to me that there should be a more professional way of handling the question. This is just my two cents, and I'm excited to try this game.
