Calling all Blind gamers. I am working with a game production company to develop a game similar to Audio Defence. I guess I got tired of waiting around for someone else to do it. My game is called The Circus Masters Revenge. You guessed it. Instead of zombies coming at you. You will have 23 different kinds of circus performers that are trying to attack you. This game is still in the early stages of development. My first time attempting something like this so I am being very very picky. I don’t care if the blind community wants to play this game or not. I want to play it because I am a blind gamer that misses this type of game. I have to admit that when Somethin Else left iOS. I was really upset. I never even got to play the night jar. They definitely were ahead of their time as far as game play goes. Atleast on a mobile platform. Nobody since has even come close. This is where I want to succeed. Not just for all the blind gamers out there but for me. If you are interested in a game like this. Let me know in a comment. The more gamers interested in a game like this will help my game producers understand how important this game will be to us. I even got Marty from the blindfold series interested in this game. He is helping me understand the business side of this adventure. So when this game is developed and you enjoy it make sure you thank him for helping me out with the process. I will keep everyone updated on the progress right here. Thanks for your time. I will try my best not to let you down.

Will
It was definitely not easy. It was hard. It took me a long time to complete it. Besides, the game is going to have new weapons and items. Not to mention the fact that there’s going to be a completely new chapter with an endless mode. The Tester version wasn’t the complete game.
Well
I tested the game as well and I'm glad I did.
Oh man, I'm very excited for this game to be released o that everyone can view it!! Now if only somethinelse would get notified about this
patiently waiting
After a year and a half, I sure hope this game can live up to the hype.
Don't anybody post anything negative anymore okay?
this is gonna be great
*sings the jeopardy! song*
Re: 588
I'm sorry dude, but you are taking this in a completely wrong way and it's not how it should be taken. First, let me say that I fully appreciate all the money you invested into this game. Thanks for that, but please hear me out and don't just say oh it's just a negative person. You cannot and should not develop a game if you expect nobody to be negative and to "shut their mouth". If you are expecting that, you already failed. If the game is good, people will buy and praise it. If it's not, people will mention it. This is the development world. If you are not ready for that, then you will really have a hard time. You can't go into this and say oh if you are too negative, the development will stop. That's not how it works. What about taking all these negative comments and seeing what they are disliking and improving it for the future? Negativity is not bad, as long as it's constructive. Now I do understand where you are coming from, you have every right to ignore a comment saying the game is crap, I hate it because that's just not constructive and has no purpose. However, you should not ignore comments saying that they are not sure how good the game will be or asking you to just answer instead of sending a long podcast because there is simply nothing wrong with that. It is not insulting in any way, it does not bash the game in any way either. People are sceptic for every game, this is normal, because those people are your customers and they will be paying for your game. I know that I wont definitely shut my mouth, because this is a public forum and positive and negative opinions are equally accepted. That's what a forum is for, and if you don't agree with that perhaps you should have indeed made the game for yourself. Again, we are definitely grateful for good games. Countless games received positive comments, and I don't understand where you guys are coming from when you say that all developers stop developing because of negative comments. Who stopped developing? Don't please tell me echoes from levia, because the game received honest opinions. Every product you buy can be reviewed by another person. This is the Internet. Better focus on developing your game and fixing everything you can instead of writing insulting remarks, because in fact you are the one bashing people. If everybody who is writing negative comments is handicapped to you, then that's just an insult. We are also not writing crap. If you wish others to respect you, then you need to respect them as well especially on a public forum. Finally, to close this I have one last question to you. Are you a developer of this game? Did you write the code for it? If not, what did you do? Sound design, financing, what exactly? I'm asking this because if you were a developer, you would not in fact be that disrespectful. If you find any comment on here which is telling you to shut up or that your game is crap, I will publicly apologize to you, but that was not said. The game took a lot of time, I'm sure about that. You are probably tired, that's all understandable, but you need to calm down when you are communicating with your potential customers.
Bringing back iOS game like audio defense
When i read the title for the very first time, the first thing that came to mind was audio offense lol.
I agree with Nikola Jovic.
I beta tested the game and it is my kind of game, if there's going to be upgrades for the weapons, a lot of weapons, a lot of missions or an endless mode to upgrade the weapons.
Negative feedback is good, it helps you to grow as a developer.
If you ignore all the negative comments, if you get any when the game is released, you'll loos people and people might say, don't play this game, this bug is broken and the developer doesn't respond to any negative comments.
So what I'm saying is, take the negative comments and fix what people want to be fixed because chances are, they're right and have found a bug and if they haven't, tell them this.
For example, I'd love a way to skip scenes in the game,, in the first beta version I tested as far as I know, you couldn't do this.
CMR
I have tested this game too and it is great.
Very good work from the developers.
The games couldn‘t be perfect, but the important thing is, that you have fun and a good expirience with that.
uh
It's Thursday, now what? Are we gonna be getting another delay, or what?
Someone said that the game would be released today,, but..
I guess it is up to Apple right?
Apple app store review
You guys should really chill out. Apple app store reviews are known for taking a while. The average wait time for a review is a couple of days. They recently hired more people to process more apps, so some reviews take around 24 hours but this isn't as common. At this point all we can do is wait for Apple to finish their review.
Impatience and its consequences
For some, it is less about chilling out than about getting a life and putting a sock in it. The life part helps you, and the sock part helps us.
Developer?
Yes I consider myself a developer. I created CMR. Characters, weapons, dialogue, storyline, and game scenarios. I oversee the project. Nothing gets approved unless I say. So, if I write a movie. produce it. Direct it. Finance it. Hire the actors. Did I not develop the movie? Am I not part of that team? I think I answered that question. I don’t mind if someone has an issue with the game. Not giving it a chance before it comes out is not really fair is it? I hope everyone enjoys it. I did this for us. Believe me or not, that is the truth. We are still waiting on Apple to approve release. I will let you all know when I know. I really don’t think it will be too much longer
its not
its not in our hands now. We submited the app. Our job, as far as that goes, is done. It is apple's turn now to do their job. Also, In another comment, I clerified, around today or so. Chill it people. It will be out; just be patient
how many chapters?
compared to the test version, how many chapters will the full game be? assume different scenarios than what tested?
5
Their will be 5 chapters but the longest will be chapter 3.
Submission
I just found out that Apple submission policy has changed recently. They have their own testers. They test between 5 and 15 working days. After the fifth or 15th day it will be approved or declined . I don’t know what day they have started or will start testing. I am very disappointed too. This really sucks. If I would have known about this new policy. I wouldn’t have told everyone it was going to be launched this week. I am truly sorry. It is not in my hands anymore.
wow.
5 days? Seems like a lot.
Game testers
I guess this new policy could benefit game testers. If you like to do this I would suggest trying to apply for a position. It could be good for income and giving good Feedback for developers and accessibility. Just a thought. I would do it if I wanted to be a game tester and get paid for it. It makes sense if you think about it. Game developers wouldn’t have to find their own testers anymore. They would be provided by Apple.
That's ok.
I understand that things happen and it's out of the developers hands now.
It would be nice to get payed to test games for accessibility and apps, but I have no idea how to go about that.
Contact
I would think you could contact apple through their accessibility phone number. They are always good about giving out information to us. About the game. Igna, A mental vision sound FX technician, and myself have played the completed version. We have agreed that it is kick ass. I know you all will appreciate what we have accomplished. It’s about time somebody made it happen for our community. I just hope it proves to other developers that we are not a small market. I hope it shows developers we are here to stay. I wish that Apple would have give me an email about the new policy. I would have been able to warn everyone. I hope you don’t take it out on mental vision because of something out of our control.
nah
just keep up the good work
Apple
I have contacted Apple. They are going to try to expedite the release. That is all I have
honestly people you are all
honestly people you are all like children, the game will be out when its out, am sure there are more important more vital apps out there that apple has to examine. plus its very possible they might ask you to make changes this often happens with audio games.
I am patient
I am patient because I know that The wait is going to be worth it.
Joel
You better believe it
Hopefully
Hopefully Apple approves it soon. I am really looking forward to this game.
MaranaTa
I apologize for the late response. I am not sure what you’re asking of me. Translating for 13 different languages is going to be very difficult. Are you asking me to translate the menu and Voice over? That is going to be possible. Are you asking me to translate the dialogue? I cannot afford to pay several different voice actors at $1000 plus for over 13 languages Mental Vision, is a brand new company. We haven’t even made a penny yet. Right now, there is no way for me to produce this game in all languages on this planet. We will on the other hand, have an option for language and the menu and voice over function. And my very own research. English is the number one understood language in the world. Having a choice for language is a great opportunity for success. We will strive to pursue this option. We will strive to pursue any action that will give our community a step forward. I hope that this answers your question. I know it is very vague but, you have my attention. I will not forget and I have brought it up to my team. Thank you.
Of course, translating the
Of course, translating the dialogues would cost too much. But you could write them down in text format so we could copy and paste the text into a translator accessible as GoogleTranslator and translate them into our language ...
translation...
hold on.
What would you have him do?
Send you a text file with scenes and text?
Or a text box which comes up for you to read?
If you remember, there were no subtitles in audio defense.
Let's wait and see how this game does with the english version before there's talk about text boxes instead of voice overs.
Want that, play text based games.
MaranaTa
I‘m from Germany and my English is not the best.
But it is really boring, if you have a shooting game with text based on Voice Over.
This game is an self voicing game and that is much better than Audio Defence.
And if you translate the Main Menu in an other Language, you have the Menu in Italian or an other language, but the dialogues are in English.
That‘s really sucks.
And I think that the Story line is very important.
That means, go ahead Joseppi!!!
Spanish Translation
I can help with a voiceover translation in Spanish if desired
Ok I understand.
Ok I understand. Unfortunately, even when I played at AudioDefense I didn't always understand what to do, the objectives of the missions, I played like this, without understanding what I had to do. This was a bit frustrating for me when I play I want to understand his goal. How can you do that then? This is a problem that almost all the funniest audiogames have, they are in English and not everyone when we play we can understand what we are doing. I know it will be a wonderful game because I like shooting almost exclusively. I can't wait for it to be released to buy it. But I wonder what I will really understand, if I can fully play.
Guys I had an idea, but I'm
Guys I had an idea, but I'm sure many won't like it. We could help Yoseppie by financially supporting the cost of the various dubbing. The cost is certainly high, but if we all make a small amount of money available, we can do it! The ocean is made up of many small drops! Yoseppie gave us the game, he worked a lot for us, now if we help him in this way I am convinced that this game will be the most beautiful, accessible and fun of all. I would be willing to give 100 dollars, I would give even more but unfortunately I can't because I have a family to support. But if we all put this amount of money together, the costs of the various dubbings would be covered. In fact, I'm sure they would even be outdated. In short, brothers, we are a community, let's help each other and not leave everything on the shoulders of the developers.
Translation
Eventually, there will be a close captioning option. In this way, you should be able to select your language. This will not happen right away. It is something that will be implemented in the future as we go along. I hope this was helpful.
Well, till now ...
at 636, well, up till now he hasn't given us anything accept podcasts which don't include the infos we asked, some vague dates when the app might or might not get released and a pile of words delivered in such a preaching and high flying way that they could easily put apples Keynotes to shame. Currently, i only see big words, I'll change my mind if I have the peace of software on my phone and played around with it as long as I need to form an opinion about it.
And, why don't people start learning english? Would reduce the need for translation considerably.
What an entertaining display of arrogance
Before lecturing others about learning English, how about learning it yourself? Then you would know that "accept" is not the same as "except," and "peace" is not the same as "piece."
I'm usually not that pedantic but this time it was fun!
Cheers Perry
I've seen this chump a few times
I have yet to see 1 positive comment from this piece of blind filth. I guess he has been blessed with a special kind of handicap.
He's been dealt with
I gave him the sermon he needed. No need to resort to personal insult.
I agree to you DM Nagel
Ihaven't seen a single positive comment from Morithy either. I just cannot understand why. You are right. Ihave stopped listening.
I do get moritys point,
I do get moritys point, though I do agree he shouldn't be lecturing people on learning English, but his point does stand, there are just so many pointless comments on this thread that add no value to the discussion, along the lines of I can't wait to play this game, its going to be amazing, I am going to be the first one to buy it, yawn yawn yawn. Like I have been saying for ages, this game isn't even released yet, by all means once its out lets all then have constructive discussion on if its actually any good, translations or anything else relevant, till then most of the comments on this discussion add very little value to it. and I hope the mods come down on that above comment about blind filth, totally unacceptable to insult another member like this, just because you feel strongly about your pet game no need to be unpleasant to people, you only show the blind community up by being insulting and your lack of maturity. I do think quite frankly everyone should shut up till the game actually comes out, seriously we have had several podcasts, plus the ridiculous amount of advertising hype and self aggrandizement and hype from the developer. great, now lets actually wait for the proof so we can all experience this marvelous game for ourselves and make a fair decision based not on if you were a tester and third party hearsay or just blind faith it will be amazing but on actual play and reality of experiencing the game. also regarding podcasts, I know they can demonstrate game play and such, but also remember they can be edited to portray things in as positive a light as possible.
also I think people do need to find a sense of perspective, there are far more important and serious issues in the world than games or entertainment in general, the way some people have been carrying on in this discussion its almost like all they do is sit around and play games all day, and I am not naming any names or thinking of any individuals in particular more just collectively the way this discussion has been jumped on.
also I do think its about time cmr had a dedicated thread of its own or maybe changed the topic title so it doesn't reference a long dead audio game, and also the title isn't exactly up to date anymore, as your not just bringing back a game like audio defence but have allegedly bought it back. the topic doesn't even reference the name CMR in the title.
And so what if we played games most of the time?
Like the title says, so what? What proof can you show me that you're not doing the same? I mean, you're not doing yourself any favours by being all over certain game topics yourself. Quite frankly, I don't find much of a problem with that either. As long as we can get through our days, right?
Please be polite and respectful to others at all times
Alex is correct that a polite reminder appears to be in order regarding what's considered acceptable when posting to AppleVis.
We understand that people might not always agree with something that's been posted to the site and that discussions may on occasions become heated, however, we will not allow our members to demean other members.
If you want to disagree with what somebody else has said, that's of course fine, but be polite and respectful at all times.
Personal attacks, name calling, flaming, taunting, baiting or just plain disrespect of fellow community members is not acceptable or wanted on this site. Ignoring this request could result in your posts being removed and your account suspended.
Additionally, please do not make uninvited criticisms regarding other members typos, spelling, grammar or posting styles.
Thank you.
As you may have noticed, I have also amended the title of this thread to more accurately reflect where the discussion has gone.
Clarification
Hi!
My remarks about spelling were not uninvited. In fact, the topic of learning English was explicitly brought up in a condescending lecture which I jokingly rebutted. If this kind of friendly jousting is not allowed however, I apologize for breaking a rule.
Cheers Perry
at 600 something
Oh, not really a special kind of handycap, I don't really see where you could gain that idea from, well, special maybe in the way that I have been audio and video gaming for around, hmm, 10 years by now and have a different quality standard regarding games.
if there is something to say, I say it. I said what we currently have about the game which is, as I said words and podcasts. And, if there are positive things to say, I point them out, though most games on iOS seam to not be that positive for me, I mean come on, positive things about blindfold games? You could have asked me about opinions regarding KODP, six ages, sound of magic or Feer and you would have your positives.
Oh and regarding that blind filth, yeah, always was an ass and will surely burn in hel for that in the end, already have the VIP room reserved.
and at 646 I think it was, welp, lesson learned I guess, though with the learning English part I mostly ment a general concept of knowing the language in a way that you can understand simple instructions, conversations or what ever you want, I did, so I suppose others can as well.
Mority
You are correct about everything. Just because people say it is amazing doesn’t mean it is. Everyone should have their own opinion about the game.
Also, what is sound of magic? I’ve never heard of it.
@DMNagel
You can have your own opinion about the game but don’t call others ‘Blind filth’ because they don’t have the same opinion as you.
if you search for sound of
if you search for sound of magic on the appstore you can find it, it seems to be some sort of fantasy game,, but it seems to be entirely in german, plus its made with unity and not VoiceOver accessible. though it could very well be a self voicing audio game I am honestly not sure, either way I can't play as I don't speak german. also seeing as moratiy referred to playing video games I assume he has some sight to do so, so he knows exactly the sort of rich games sighted people can experience, which we can get a sense of by watching play throughs on youtube, though to be honest I have never bothered with that.
I guess for me till we actually get to play cmr the idea of the emperors new clothes springs to mind.
I've google translated sound of magic's app description and got

Some answers.
Hi.
Sound of magic was explained already, a translation is currently in progress, at leased to my knolledge.
Regarding video games, no, I have exactly 0 sight left and play entirely by sound. Throughout the years i had and still have a multitude of gaming systems, from ps1 2 and 3, xbox 360 and one, snes, wii, psp.
There are games that are not playable by the blind, but there is quite a number which is playable indeed.
Cost
So how much will this game cost? Will I have to pay for chapter 2 also?
