Apple has today released iOS 15.0.2 and iPadOS 15.0.2, bringing fixes for Find My, Photos, CarPlay, and device restore.
Here is what Apple says is fixed in todayās release of iOS 15.0.1:
- Photos saved to your library from Messages could be deleted after removing the associated thread or message
- iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe may not connect to Find My
- AirTag might not appear in the Find My Items tab
- CarPlay may failā¦

Update: Our testing suggests that none of the bugs we previously reported as being introduced in iOS 15.0 and iPadOS 15.0 are resolved in these releases. However, there were some new bugs introduced in those releases which were not encountered by members of our team or had a way for us to test for them, so we cannot comment on the status ofā¦

Another Autumn means another release of iOS. Just like releases of iOS dating back to 2009, this release brings a lot of new features and functions for blind and DeafBlind users. Major changes in iOS 15 include a new Focus Mode, several enhancements with FaceTime, the ability to use Siri for certain tasks while offline, and much more. Apple has today released iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS 14.7.1, bringing a fix for a bug introduced in last week's iOS 14.7 update that prevented the Apple Watch from being automatically unlocked when connected to Touch ID iPhones.
As the release notes only mention this one specific fix, our expectation is that they do not contain any accessibility changes for blind and low vision users; however, if you notice any changes, improvements or regressions in your own use of these releases, pleaseā¦
Apple has today released macOS Big Sur 11.5.1 with an important security update.
The specific security issue fixed in this update is for an IOMobileFrameBuffer flaw that could have been actively exploited to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.
As macOS Big Sur 11.5.1 appears to have been released to address a specific issue, our expectation is that it does not contain any accessibility changes for blind and lowā¦
Apple has today released iPadOS 14.7. This appears to be a relatively minor update for a single dot release, focusing on a small number of changes and fixes.
According to the release notes from Apple, this update fixes a bug which could cause braille displays to show invalid information while composing Mail messages.
At the time of posting, we are unaware of any additional fixes, enhancements or regressions for blind and low vision users.
