As a follow-up to my previously already locked post on the subject of censorship, given that I never criticize without also offering an alternative that I consider significantly better, and being fully aware that this constitutes unsolicited advice because the site decided to act defensively instead of asking me for suggestions, I still decided to make a positive contribution by presenting moderation suggestions based on my own experience dealing with the worst of the Internet as a founder and moderator of a medium-sized programming channel on IRC eons ago.
Site News, Updates, and Feedback
Hi AppleVis Team,
I really like AppleVis so much, that there should be a section where people can comment or ask Orientation And Mobility questions. This can be very useful if people are looking for cane recommendations. Or even navigation apps that can help people navigate their community. I'm visually impaired myself, so having this option would be super beneficial for me.
What do you all think of this? Is that something you would like to see in the near future? I'd like to hear your ideas on this!
Thanks and hope you have a great rest of your day.
Hi AppleVis,
Please add iOS and iPadOS next to Forum Topic. It would be usefull for people to know where the forums are being posted.

Hi AppleVis,
After every comment, there used to be a More Like This which would display similar posts that the ones that you're looking that. What was the reason for removing that feature?
Thank you all for all the hard work you do.
Hi AppleVis Community,
When browsing on the AppleVis Website, is there a way to switch to regular clock hours like 8:46 on the AppleVis website? So that VoiceOver does not read: "On Wednesday, October 22, 19:48. I prefer to see it like this: 7:48.
Is there a way to change this?
Thank you.
I tried to post a followup to a previous reply of my own on a thread asking whether it was possible to rename an audio device, and when I attempted to preview my reply, I got the following message from Cloudflare:
Sorry, you have been blocked
You are unable to access applevis.com
Why have I been blocked?
On the homepage, under the recent post list, I'd like AppleVis to inplement a way to preview posts as the post title doesn't always say enough. Without having to open the post, I'd like to see 2 or 3 lines of the post body, so one could always get a general idea of how it starts. Thank you!
i’ve been building this new iPhone mobile web accessible penguin blaster game on lovable, and I just wanna know if I’m able to post my mobile web game on here for people to play and give me feedback regards to my new mobile Web accessible game. My mobile web accessible game is completely accessible. I’m building it with blind people in mind. if someone can let me know if I’m able to post it on here or not, that would be great, thank you in advance.
Hi. It looks like the option to reply to comments within a forum discussion has disappeared again. Or at least, I can't seem to find it. What's going on with that? Did it break again?
Hello. I am a long time user of applevis, and I love It because of all of the cool podcasts and features on the site. It's like a community of blind apple, mac and Iphone freaks. I love it. Do you by anny chance have a podcast on how to use the website it's self. Just currious. I sometimes have trouble going to my account and mannaging it. Other than that though, This is a grate place to learn. Thanks for creating a website like this.
Would it be possible to add the Subscribe option to podcast threads as per other pages like blog or forum posts? Sometimes they provoke interesting discussions and it would be nice to be able to get notifications of replies.
Thanks!
Hello everyone!
I hope this is okay to post here.
I have a suggestion that I feel would benefit everyone, particularly regular contributors to the forum.
Today I noticed that a thread with strong criticism of the company behind the Envision Glasses disappeared from the front page, and after checking my own comment history, I noticed that my own comments to that thread were gone too, meaning that the thread itself was likely deleted or hidden from public view without any kind of explanation whatsoever.
Hi,
First of, I hope that this is the right place to open the discussion about the following topic:
Has anyone else noticed that the timestaps for forum posts on AppleVis constantly change? Let's say I have posted at 1AM, 1 day later, the timestamp says 2:33PM or something similar.
Is this a known issue?
Hi everyone. The subject line is pretty accurate. I've occasionally seen forum posts by unregistered users. I'm curious how they're able to gain access on here if they don't have an account? Wondering if there's a way to prevent this? Thanks for reading and take care.
Hi all,
We wanted to take a moment to share an upcoming change to how subject lines for comments will work on the site.
In the near future, the Subject Line will be made a required field when posting comments to content on AppleVis. In so doing, it is our hope that discussions will be easier to navigate and follow, especially for popular posts (like software release announcements) where there are many replies and many individual sub-discussions.
In addition, we ask that you please keep the following etiquette tips in mind relating to subject lines:
