I have a new keyboard and wonder if it is useful to use it on an iPad because I still have one on my iPad.

Hello,
I'm participating in a course through Techopolis Online Solutions, which teaches indeviduals who are blind or have low vision to create apps for Apple platforms.
The instructor team strongly recommends using an iPad with a connected keyboard, rather than the onscreen one or a mac, for those who are just getting started.
My question for folks on this forum is this:
What's a good keyboard case that works well with Voiceover & does not require being charged separate from the iPad itself?

Hi everyone. Subject line pretty much sums it up. I've been having a weird thing happen on my keyboard, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this one before. Sometimes when I'm typing my keys will make a sound as if they're cracking. It's not a huge deal since they all work great, but I'm just wondering if I should report this or have somebody with working eyeballs look at it? The issue just happens randomly with keys, and I don't think I'd be able to reproduce it if I had to. I guess it's more of an annoyance than anything else.

Hey all,
How tactile are the keys on the Apple Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro 11 Inch2020? Are the keys flushed and difficult to tell?

Hi all. I have a keyboard for my iPad and it used to work perfectly and I haven't used it for a couple days and now I cannot use the vo keystrokes or the normal ones like command tab or so on.

Has anyone had any experience with the lark bird Lavalier mics made by Holly land? they were supposed to come with monitoring your phones, but I did not receive them. I really want to try to use these mics and I’m wondering if anyone has suggestions to use these or any other brand. are there earphones out there to monitor recording on audio in real time? I have several, but they all have mics attached to them, of course. Any help would be so appreciated!

I am trying to figure out the least expensive iOS device that can handle both the BARD library app and the Kindle app. My uncle, who is both blind and mostly deaf and who generally has resisted devices newer than the iPod Shuffle recently expressed an interest in the accessibility of Kindle books and was also intrigued when I told him that my iPhone also could be used to play books from the NLS via the BARD app.

Hello, so I am on the hunt for a good leather case for my iPhone 15 Pro Max. One of the requirements that I have is that it has good tactile buttons, specifically made out of metal. It must always have MagSafe. I am also looking for some good budget options as well.
If any of you have any, please list your recommendations below.

Hi,
For those of you who have the iPhone 13 or 14 pro, with the snazzy triple camera, do you guys use a lens protector or not? I'm using an otterbox commuter series case, but I don't know whether a lens protector is necessary, or would even fit.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Hello

I'm considering changing carriers, and am being offered an upgrade from my iPhone 11, to a 12 Pro.

Do any of the Pro users find that Lidar is a valuable asset?

Further complicating my decision is that it seems they are offering a 128GB 12 Pro, and my 11 is 256GB. I like the extra space, but if Lidar is a big deal, I may be swayed.

Does any1 have a Lifeproof case for the IPad Air 2? I'm havin a heck of a time gettin' it installed up. It seems like the provided o-ring is too big. I've called support, & they weren't altogether too helpful. They want me to file a warranty claim. So I'll have to get the serial number. They also want me to take pictures of the case. Those should be instructive indeed. So b4 goin' thru all that hassle, I just wanted to see if any1 had 1 of these & could possibly give me some tips, i.e., perhaps I'm doing it wrong, who knows?

I had a lightning cable for my iPhone 5 and it worked great for a long time. I'd either keep it plugged into AC power, or when I needed to sync I'd plug it into the USB port on my pc in the usual way. But yesterday, I found myself having to use the cable on another pc, and after I used it on that one, the cable quit working. I saw this happen when I used a lightning cable on an external battery pack I have. It seems like the very act of plugging the cable into another pc or device other than my own kills the cable, and at almost 20 bucks each, it's kind of expensive to replace.

Hello there. As I'm thinking about upgrading my phone to the 16 here in a couple months, do things like a lightning femail to USBC mail adapters exist? I have a pair of ambeos that I'd still like to use and it would be a shame for me to have them go to waste. Is their a version of these that already have USBC built in? Or if yall have any better ideas that I'm not quite with the times with, I'm all ears on that as well. Thanks. Feel free to move if this isn't in the right place. Deeply sorry.

I need a stereo mic for my phone. I read in a forum that some devices broke speech. What are people using these days? I'm not buying hooke audio's device. I've used it. It's an over priced piece of crap. I'll use something wired. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi, Back when I had an iPhone 4, I bought a cable that had a 30-pin plug on one end and a mini-jack plug on the other. With this cable I can send line level audio from an iPhone to any equipment with a mini-jack input. This cable still works with a lightning to 30-pin adapter, but I was wondering if someone knew of a similar cable with a lightning connector instead of a 30-pin? Thanks in advance, and please excuse my English, since it's not my first language. Cheers, Øystein

Hi folks!
I'm gonna buy a Bluetooth keyboard, the k375s from Logitech, and I'm wondering about the possible Bluetooth delay. Will it be bad enough that my Voiceover experience will be hindered?
Have you had bad experience with Logitech Bluetooth keyboards? Are they durable? They are the nicest and less expensive options around here.

Hi all, I'm using IPhone 6S and after upgrading my IPhone to the latest version of IOS, my logitech bluetooth keyboard isn't really compatible with Whatsapp. When I'm typing on the compost search, the shift key on my keyboard doesn't work. Therefore, I'm unable to input capital letters, question mark, et cetera.
I'd really appreciate if someone can help me with this.
Thank you
