What is the best Mac Book Pro hardware configuration to run iMovies on?
My wife employs a 2012 Mac Book Pro, 16GB Ram and 2012 Mac Book Pro CPU/GPU (don't know specs) to produce 40 minutes YouTube videos, with iMovie. Present average edit/process time is perfectly acceptable, under 10 minutes.
Her laptop display broke and it will cost 800€ to fix so I am considering a new Mac Book Pro. I am seeking advice as to where (which hardware) to invest. GPU? CPU? RAM?
hi all, well, the day is finally here, the day we can all get our hands on the new apple iPhones in stores. I got mine this morning at t-mobile, and have had a few hours to play with it. In short, I love the faster processor, apps seem to load much faster then before, gps is much more stable then on the previous phone, the sound quality of voiceover and siri is much improved through the two speakers, so you don't have to raise your volume passed seventy percent to hear something.
Hello to all. I'm looking for a scanner, just a scanner but with software that will do the following
Scan a document and convert it into pdf
2 scan a document and convert into n image pdf if necessary.
Ability to save the pdf to my hard drive or iCloud or where ever.
Of corse the software and scanner have to be about 90 percent accessible with mac and window. I should add this cannot be a printer scanner thing. I already have one but I can't carry it everyware, it's heavy. Lol!
There is a lot of vogue nowadays for Bluetooth and wireless. There is no doubt that when they work the connection appears almost magical and neat with no trailing wires or bulk. The operative word though is when they work.
It may be that I am unlucky but I have a chequered history with both wireless and Bluetooth devices and they have never enjoyed long term success with me.

Forgive me of this is slightly OT, but I don’t have many places I know of to post this inquiry.
I am in the market for new headphones with a view specifically to using them with my iPhone.
Here are the specs that I’m looking for:
1) NO NOISE CANCELLATION!: I want to be able to hear clearly what is around me at the same time I’m listening through them.
2) They CANNOT be in-ear ear buds!: I have never once been able to find ear-buds that fit my ears properly! Even if I did, since they are in-ear, they would surely block out sound around me!
My Bluez arrived today, and so far I am incredibly disappointed by them!
Sound leakage is so bad that anybody within 20 feet is going to know exactly what you are listening to.
Hello, I am not able to access my incripted backup for my iPhone 6 as I don't know the password. I have tried every single password I use. the only option I can see is to backup through the iCloud athen restore the phone as a new device and reinstall the backup from iCloud. has anyone done this? Also I notice CNet has a download for cracking the password. has anyone used this software and which one is accessible?
Hi all. As some of you know by now I finally got that first iPhone for which I had been patiently waiting since a little before Christmas. Well on Saturday morning, the day before Easter, my father asked me during breakfast if I wanted to go to one of the AT&T stores in our area to look at iPhones. I agreed to do this, so we finished breakfast and I got my things together, and he got his things together. Then we drove to the store and were immediately greeted by a friendly employee. We told him exactly what we were after, so he motioned for us to come with him and take a look.
hi all has anyone else noted that when typing on the qwerty keyboard the airpods shout each letter out and other voiceover prompts, are of a normal volume? also, for the price, i would have expected the airpods to know which device they are connected to between my iphone and ipad, without me having to tell it each time. i really enjoy the freedom of these though just seem like small niggles. i use ios 10 on my iphone, and ios 11 on the ipad mini 4.
So, I have had the 2021 Apple TV 4K for a few days now and wanted to share a few initial thoughts and impressions.
First, I know many people are curious about the new remote. As reported in the media, it is a bit thicker and longer than the previous remote. Not a lot thicker, just a little bit. It does feel a bit more substantial in your hand, but as it is still slippery, I can see it easily sliding between the couch cushions. I'm a little disappointed the Find My feature wasn't incorporated.
This post is for anyone who has obtained The iPhone SE third generation only. I would like to know if you are satisfied with the performance of the device in regarding how your battery performance has been especially since this new iPhone is using 5G. I would also like to know if voiceover has been having focusing issues with iOS 15 thank you so much for your time have a great day.
Hi. Can anyone tell me whether the whole to insert the sim ejection tool is to the left or the right of the sim tray on the IPhone 6S. I'm guessing this will be the same on the IPhone 6 so if anyone can help please. I'm trying to insert the nano sim by feel which isn't easy and I don't want to scratch my shiny new phone. It's possible to feel to marks, one on each side of the tray so not quite sure.
Hi all. I bought a 9V battery to use with my recently purchased, StandScan pro. Unfortunately no matter what I did I couldn't get the lights to come on. Have I forgotten how to install a battery? Lol. If you can help I'd appreciate it. The on thing I don't see in this, is that little whire you clipped onto the prongs of the battery itself. Any advice would be fantastic. Thank you.
So I thought I would start a bit of an interesting conversation. Does anyone on this form actually know how to install a screen protector on an iPhone yourself? If you do, how do you apply them successfully? From what I understand, the new screen protectors that are being designed with the latest iPhone having an alignment tray. So I am wondering what is the best way to do it? If you do not install them yourself, do you typically have somebody installed them at say a cell phone store for you?
The numbers clearly show that Apple has managed to improve latency with each generation of AirPods and that their performance is significantly better than typical Bluetooth headsets. This is the first time I've seen actual latency measurements, something most people ignore when reviewing these devices.
Hi. I noticed something cool the other day. I have my Airpods connected to my Mac and also my phone. I was sitting with the case and I flipped it open. My Mac was asleep, and I had an app open on my phone watching tv. When the case opened, I got an alert from my phone, with the charging status of the airpods as well as the case. I thought it was neat.
