Help us improve accessibility of our game Idle Crafting Kingdom

Hi everyone,

I'm one of the developers of the game Crafting Kingdom.
We just released the game today and we would love to know what you think, especially in terms of the game's accessibility.

The game focuses a lot on crafting resources, producing goods and then selling them.
You start out small, chopping logs in your lumberyard. Eventually you will work your way up unlock new products, buy new buildings and production facilities which allow you to produce more valuable goods.
You can also build out your own estate, if you have the necessary construction materials.

The game is incremental, which means one of the gameplay mechanics is that you need to restart your progress every now and then to get ahead. You complete quests and earn bonuses like faster production and higher sale prices for your next restart.

The game is free. There are optional ads, but no in-app purchases. The ads are voluntary rewarded videos, which will give you a powerful boost for watching (for example double log production for 10 minutes).

You can find the game here:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/crafting-kingdom/id1190611967?ls=1&mt=8

We tried to make this game as accessible as possible, but know that there are probably plenty of things that could be better. We would really appreciate some feedback on what could be improved. Any feedback is welcome.

Please note: The game uses Unity and the Unity Accessibility Plugin (UAP), so not all VoiceOver gestures are supported.

Had a friend ask how I managed to balance my production. There are a few ways to think about it, but when considering how many slots to devote to a larger slot, divide the time of the larger production by the smaller. For example, Copper takes 35 seconds, and coal takes 15 seconds. Everything else being equal, a coal slot will support 2.33 copper slots. Hope that helps, spending a little planning time before setting up slots goes a long way to avoid frustration and an inefficient setup. By the way, Kelvin, if your out there and reading this, send me an email at blindadrenaline@gmail.com would like to compare notes on Crafting Kingdom if your interested. Later taters.

Hello Michelle:

Some have mentioned that the use of the rodor might be good for handling production slots. I would caution against this move, because there are people who have dexterity issues with their hands and using the rodor proves to be quite difficult, but they can handle the swiping gesture. Perhaps this would limit the number of people who could play the game.

Just some thoughts to consider before implementing this change in the game.

The only way I have discovered to unlock more boost slots so far is to complete a quest which will give you one: for example, during my current play-through of Crafting Kingdom I completed a quest by using ten boosts, and the reward for completing that quest is to have two boost slots available instead of one in my next play-through. I'm looking forward to that: it'll certainly be useful to be able to do two boosts at the same time instead of just one.

Hello, I was wondering when will the new update be released? and a question to the beta testers, will the next update fix most of the problems with voice-over going out of focus? Also a question for Michelle, have you guys decided whether or not you going to implement the "sell 1" button back? I know that the developers of this game work very hard to make this game accessible to us, and I appreciate it very, very much. But honestly, the voice-over focus going just about anywhere except the place you want it to be is taking the enjoyment out of playing the game. I asked before if the system voice can have a switch where you can make the voice faster because I would gladly use that if it would lessen the problems, but I haven't gotten an answer whether it would be possible or not. Thank you for your time, and I hope some of my previous questions, and my questions here could be answered please.

Sunshine, most of the problems that we have been experiencing are being solved. The lagging issue is less noticeable. The focus is not jumping anymore. Sale prices are being read correctly. Now you can change the products that will be made in each slot and they will be read correctly. So far, this is what I have been able to find in the new beta. There is no cell one button. Well, this is what I have been able to find so far. I don't know if the other guys testing the new build have found something else.
Just be a little more patient. The new version will be coming soon. The developers are working really hard on this game.
I want to take the chance to thank them for the hard work they are putting into this great game.

I don't see any issue with making the rotor available as a quick method to change what productions slots do, I understand about people with dexterity issues, but nobody is talking about removing the traditional way production for slots has been changed, just making the rotor available as an alternative to mucking around with the select production screens, I don't see why two methods can't be made available for this same if the rotor could be used elsewhere for selecting boosts etc.

My wife and I just updated to the latest version of this game. Everything works awesome with Accessibility mode. We noticed something on my wife's phone though. When she wants to move the screen around in order to find different things, even though Accessibility mode is not enabled, Accessibility's swipes are enabled. So flicking left and Right will go from one thing to another instead of moving The screen around. The same thing happens when flicking up and down as well. The little blip blip sound that you hear when reaching the edges of the screen when Accessibility mode is on is also still heard. We have completely closed out the app and restarted it. But things still are the same. So at the moment, she is actually having to use accessibility mode enabled.

Hi, thought you might be interested I just noticed a bug where if you have a boost running which increases production once the boost runs out the information for the production doesn't get reset if your still focused on it and the boost runs out. for example I had a boost to give me plus one log production, I was in the lumber yard when it ran out, I know it ran out because the correct sounds were playing after the boost ran out, one ding sound every 3 seconds, however the production information on the slot still said produces two logs every three seconds, once I backed entirely out of the lumber yard the information for the slot updated correctly.

Thanks Michelle for the great game and all of the hard work and dedication!! I, like many, am totally addicted to the game!!

Question or recommendation:
Is there a place in the game where you can find out what resources it takes to make a particular product? If not, I would recommend that this be put in so when we are required to get a particular product for a estate expansion, we can access the information to help make sure we have what it takes to make the final product. Currently you are not able to view what it takes to make a particular product prior to purchasing the property that it exist. I think it would be helpful to have access to that information so we will be aware of all properties that we will have to purchase and materials we will have to unlock to make the final product.

For example, on an estate expansion you are required to have so many metal parts. When I purchased the Blacksmith and checked to see what was needed, it just said one metal which I learned comes from the furnace. But once I aquired the furnace, I then learned that I needed coal and iron ore from the Corey to make metal. It was like I had to blindly work backwards not knowing what else I was going to have to do.

Now where to put the information is a good question. Maybe just a button under the Castle that when accessed will list out each of the products and the steps it takes to make the final product. You could make the screen like the options screen, and swiping down with one finger will navigate from product to product.

Thanks again for the great game!!

Since the latest update I have noticed a difference in the lag, or should I say that it is less laggy. I'm not sure if it can ever be eliminated in the production panes though, as every game I have ever played that had multiple timers displayed and running at once became considerably laggier the more timers that were visible on the screen. I believe this has something to do with how many times the screen has to refresh with so many timers visible at once. To help support this theory is that there is a very big difference in lag between owning and running one or two productions versus owning 20 productions of a particular industry. There is also considerably less lag if the production timers are running and if the timers have run out.

The issue with the focus jumping around the screen can also be mitigated a bit if you swipe using a combination of vertical and horizontal swiping gestures. For example if you use a vertical swipe to move between productions then a horizontal swipe to get to the production button, you will have greater success than if you use horizontal gestures only. It also helps to over exaggerate your swipes, making them a bit longer than you are normally used to using on your IPhone. Short quick swipes often result in the app thinking you are touching a particular point on the screen rather than a swiping gesture, often giving the impression that the screen's focus is moving on it's own.

One last note, along with my previous theory I believe that the issue regarding things taking several attempts to activate such as pressing the produce button is also due to the timers refreshing. These buttons also seemingly become less responsive the more active timers you have running in a single pane. I believe the button the developer mentioned that is coming soon, the button that will reset automations will greatly help this issue along with many others related to the lag in this game. It's obvious the developers are on top of it and are good at what they do, and I forsee even greater things coming in the near future.

To everyone who can't currently update the game to the latest version: Because of a critical bug we had to temporarily remove the app from the app store. It ironically only affected sighted players, but it was making the game unplayable.
The bug is already being fixed, and we will make an upload today to try and get it back up into the store ASAP.

By Karok on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

hi yes, the lag in the latest test version is so much more improved but, as has been stated, when in the slots for products and flicking up and down it is, and i guess still will be, present. i will be recording a lengthy podcast on this title for applevis on wednsday but i have a question, can i reset everything back to the first-time run-through to include the tutorial to help me show off the title? stay tuned for the podcast it will be coming ...

By Michelle on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

The game is back up in the store now! Big thank you to the Apple review team for helping us out and doing the review so quickly!

Will, you can reset everything by simply uninstalling the game. There is no cloud save, so deleting the app will delete your progress for good, including the tutorials.

By Lulu Hartgen on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Hi Michelle and Everyone.

I wanted to put a note here to thank you and everyone at MetalPop for this great update. First of all, I was one who actually couldn't get an update yesterday, so thank you all for fixing your problems so fast, and of course thanks to Apple for doing the review so speedily!

There are lots of things I love about this update. The lag is way better on my phone, even though I now have all properties but two, most of them with fifteen slots in each. That's a lot of work for my processor, but I'm not having to swipe my fingers off like I used to.

It's great to have less verbiage, as in slot 1, slot 2, etc instead of production slot 1, production slot 2. I have a lot of slots as I just said, and the shere volume of speech was slowing me down big time. I also love having the sell all button right beside the product in question, so I haven't got to go furtling past the sale price for it when my storage is nearly full and I need to sell something fast so my production doesn't grind to a halt when I've only just restarted it! There is nothing that frustrates me more! It's also great to be able to know what the house I'm working so hard to build out looks like, that is mega cool!

To finish, a queery and two quick suggestions. Why is it that, if I can't get out of a video and have to close the game and reopen it, sometimes my storage is full and my boosts have run out, my production has stopped. It's like game time has leaped forward. I always check storage before I go get boosts as I know I'll be a while, but if I need to close and reopen this weird thing sometimes happens. I might have way too many products, like ninety gold bars that couldn't have possibly been made in the time I was away. I'm not complaining about the money I earn from a full storage, but it then means I have to go start all my automations and get my boosts again!

And here are my suggestions. This has been mentioned I know, but how about a button in each property that would let us refresh all our slots? Maybe it could be locked and we would have to buy it for mega money or something? And the second is to add my voice to the requests for some way of saving our game progress if we have to uninstall. When I thought yesterday I might lose all the work I've done, well, I know it's only a game, but I was surprised at how much I really minded.

Thanks again for this wonderful game and this lovely update, and for working so hard to make this accessible.

Primarily, I see this behavior when viewing my total gold on the main screen, inside each building, and inside of the estate. Otherwise, the figures are now reading properly.

By Roxann Pollard on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Prior to the most recent update, I had no problem locating the L button to close the ad. Only the ad would play; however, since this update, the ad plays and the game music plays at the same time. Also, no matter what gestures are used, there is nothing to click in order to close the ad. Only by closing the game out of App Switcher can I get back to the game and continue on.

By Chris Chaffin on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Thanks for the update!! I definitely find the lag is better, and I like the one finger gesture that automatically puts you at the end of the properties on the Estate!
It is also great to hear a description of our estate. I think this helps let players know that they are actually building something and basically what it looks like.

As far as the reading of numbers this is what I found:
With Voice Over on, there is no change, like 10 million reads 1 0 0 0 0 0 0. I do not know if this will be fixable since it might have to do with how voice over is reading the screen.

With the built in tt voice, I find all numbers read correctly and it is great!!

If we just had a little more control with the tt voice, I would just use that one instead of voice over. Like, speech rate, and if there was any way of interupting what is currently being spoken with a gesture or by swiping left, right, up, or down.

By Chris Chaffin on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Does anyone know what is needed to make Tools produced in the Blacksmith? I need Tools for my next Estate Expansion, and I am sure it takes a combination of products to make them.

By Nolly on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

The videos that play and do not show you an L button have been popping up before this latest update. Some claim to never see them and others see them all the time. I am one of the people that get this all the time. For those who do not know what we mean by this, while an add is playing, about 7 seconds into the video, voice over will announce that your boost is now active even before the add is done playing. After the add is done there is no L button and clicking the screen takes you to the store. I'm sure there is probably some button to exit, but I have yet to find it. This is something similar to what I experienced when I used Viggle many years ago. Their reply was that advertising companies don't use the same method when streaming their ads, so they don't all operate the same way.

There is however a way to preserve your home button for those who are concerned about pressing it so often like I am. If you use assistive touch and set it to only functioning as the home button. You can then place it in an out of the way corner and press it twice to activate the app switcher. Please be aware that while playing Crafting Kingdom the double tap gesture with voice over for the assistive touch is disabled, so pressing it once will take you to the home screen and twice will to the app switcher. There isn't a need to double tap it to activate it (normal single tap gesture)as we normally do with voice over. It will not announce you are pressing the assistive touch button until the action processes, similarly to pressing it without voice over enabled, so you will need to get used to where the button is located even though we can't hear that it is there.

I have not been able to use any bonus items for 3 days, I have restarted the game twice and have permanent log sales and automation extensions, what is the deal with the short video errors? How can it be fixed?

By Kelvin Tan on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

hi all. just wondering, what is the highest item quantity sale u have had to make to complete a quest? my highest quantity sale quest is 150k leather strips. so far. for logs i'm at 75k, timber 50k etc. I wonder what's the highest number quests like these can go. imagine 150k armors?

By Steady on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

i am also wondering. 1 of my quests this time i need 100k timber. and btw for my estate i need 1200 silver bar, 1200 armer and 100 million gold coins. think i need to work 24hrs a day to complete that. haha!

By P.A. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

I have similar lag issues and bouncing cursor issues as everyone else seems to on my IPhone 6s running IOS 10.2 (I think it's 10.2). If those have been addressed in the latest update, that'll be good. I've downloaded and installed it, but was posting and haven't had a chance to try it yet.

I'd also like to see a fix for the video issues. It's a workaround to go to the app switcher, close the app and reopen it to get a boost and return to gameplay, but that's not ideal. It would be better if the video autoclosed when it was finished and you were asked whether you would like to return to the game or go to the app store, and in that dialog it would also confirm that the boost is active no matter what you do.

I also dislike having to restart the game constantly, as do my parents, who I got to try it out since it's the only game of its kind we can play together even without a multiplayer aspect. I would also suggest smaller increments in quests with the five-minute boost and automation expansions more readily available. I have time to babysit the game, but my parents do not. 1000 items to 5000 is OK at least for me, but 5000 straight to 25000 is not, nor is 5 automations jumping directly to 50 on the next quest, or 10 boosts to 25 then straight up to 100. I admit to not being very advertisement friendly. With the annoyance of having to watch adds to get the boosts and the time-consuming workaround currently having to be employed, that should be smaller as well. The next boost level should be 40 or 50 rather than 100 after 25. The next automation should be 10, then 15, then 20, etc. instead of jumping straight to 50. In the item crafting quest, from 5k to 10k, then 15k, etc. Fortunately I have noticed that quests you do not complete on a run-through carry over. I would guess that is intentional. Thanks for an otherwise fun game.

A couple more suggestions. I would suggest that you should be allowed to add to your estate in increments so that you don't have to have all of the materials and gold available at the same time and can build as you have it. You already have the mechanics for things to carry over so that should be part of what carries over. I'd also like to see temporary storage be less expensive.

I think the "real estate mogle" boost is misnamed. That makes it sound like it is for buying properties when it is geared toward expansions of current properties. Perhaps a boost should be added to make the properties themselves cheaper and given the real estate mogle name, with the expansion boost given some other name. I haven't thought of it yet, sorry.

To people who have the video error all the time are you running iOS 10.3? I've found that it got much worse after upgrading to iOS 10.3 but there was also an app upgrade in there as well so don't know weather iOS 10.3 was the cause.

By Blind Joe on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

First of all, let me just say thank you to the developers for there being so dedicated to accessibility and for making a great game. I'm wondering if anyone else is getting a video not available error when they try to use boost. I can usually watch one or two videos, but then every time I try to select a boost, I get the error. Anyone know if there's a fix? Thanks. :-)

By Ornella on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

the focus keeps jumping especially when I'm in the different places like the lumber yard and the city and when boosts are active I can't seem to do much. The lag has been fixed but sometimes it comes back and takes a while to come out of where I was last. I took about 3 minutes to get out of the lumber yard and even though I use the swipe up or down feature the focus just moves anywhere. I didn't want to buy another slot as yet and because of that issue It accidentally clicked on it.

By Justin on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

It's a good game. The only thing I'm seeing is that there seems to be issues in swiping without VO in the self voicing mode. When swiping from left to right, it doesn't trigger unless you give the screen a good tap and swipe. That's not normally how VO works with swiping. Other than that, it's fun so far.

By MikeFont on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Hello all, and right off I want to give a big thanks to Michelle and the dev team for making this game what it is already. I'm sure there are very cool things in the works from the developers for us. Thanks to all you early beta testers also, good work was done on behalf of this title.
A couple of reminders/tips to those who haven't read through all of the previous pages the way I have. Also this relates to a lot of my own experiences.
So, realize that any swiping or double tapping you do in the game, has to have an extra bit of force behind it. Or, more of a direct touch. For example, what works for me, instead of just doing a tipicle one finger swipe using the ball of my fingerpad, I now bend the first knuckle of the finger I'm using, and use the tip of my finger and slide or swipe directly left or right. I have no trouble doing this as I keep my nails trimmed pretty short and there's no interference. You ladies might have some trouble with this, but its the best most direct way of directing your swipes. If that's not too redundant. :)
Also, any double tapping still has to be done with a good bit of strength behind it, not sure why this is. I usually find double tapping works best after VO finishes saying the word button. Like if its the back button, there's for some unknown reason a pause between the words back and button. Or produce button, or treasure chest button. It sounds like there's a comma written in after the button name when the alt tags or whatever was being coded.
Anyway, I mention this because I always wait to double tap until VO is done saying the word button, I have better results, and less chance of me tapping and either nothing happening, or me accidently switching the focus to another part of the screen.

For the record, I'm using an IPhone 7 with IOS 10.2.1 actually. I've only gotten the error with the videos once, but I had a bad cellular connection at the time and maybe that was it? not sure..
I do have a suggestion for a quest. I think it'd be a terrific help if we could be notified when one of our automated production lines shuts down. Since I only play the game and stay in the same screen, I'm not sure we're notified of this already if we leave the window, but I doubt it.
So maybe it'll only work if the game has focus, and you're not in another app. But I haven't thought through what the quest would have to be completed to get this notification. So I guess I should say I have an idea for a quest reward. lol

Sorry for the long post, and thanks again for all the accessibility work and good content here. Hope this has helped someone.

Joe
If you've installed an ad blocker, you'll have to disable it if you want to use the boosts. That's what I had to do.

Now to the developers
As for the new experience I'm still having occasional lag problems even when I'm not running a lot of timers. The focus doesn't seem to have been fixed either. Sometimes the map will jump even when I haven't touched it in a bit like when I'm trying to get to the treasure chest, or will skip an area and I have to go back.
Also, the video inaccessibility issues remain. I still have to use that workaround of going to the app switcher, closing and restarting the app to return to gameplay. I hope the developers can come up with a way to stop this, or another way for voiceover users to earn boosts if they can't fix the video issue.
Now running the latest version of the app and of IOS on my 6S.

By Michelle on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Hi everyone, I'm sorry that the video ads seem to be causing so much trouble.
The option to buy the ads away forever is going to be in the next update.

We're also going to look into some optimizations, since so many of you reported lag issues when there are lots of timers running at the same time.

By Jim Homme on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Hi,
As a suggestion, we have to go to the City to see the breakdown of individual products. Would it be OK to also have that same kind of thing at the top of the screen for the Lumber Yard? This would help more easily decide how to produce materials more quickly.

Thanks.

Jim

By Michelle on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Hi Jim,
I can understand how that would be helpful, but it isn't really practical. There simply isn't enough room for that. The game has a total of 32 products. I'm afraid that would seriously clutter the screen if a list was listed in every production screen. The more different products you have, the longer that list would become.

By Nolly on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

The highest quest quanity objective I've gotten thus far is 600,000 for logs and $100,000,000 to increase the bag of gold. I did restart about 6 days ago though to insure I would get the quests I wanted to go through first such as logs, bag of gold and boosts. The reason being that if you open up too many resources when you start the game, the other resources will potentially take up one of the 6 quest slots, causing you to not see the one you want for quite some time.

As for the lag with running timers, perhaps a stop production button would be beneficial. I've gotten into the habit of waiting until my storage is full to either restart or change the type of production I want to create. This is due to the fact that even though the timers are still running, it isn't shown and there for doesn't seem to cause the game to lag. This of course is something I've noticed only for my game play experiences and do not know if this is the same for others.

I've also noticed that I can temporarily fix the error when watching ads by turning off my Wi-Fi and then using my phone providers internet connection. This is not a 100% fix, but I've had success with it. You can also try to reverse the process if your data plan connection is giving the error as well.

By Michelle on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Hi again,
I got a small number of questions about the videos and thought it might make sense to answer this here. Most of you will already know this, but it can't hurt to explain it anyway.

The videos that can be watched in exchange for a boost are advertisements for other apps on the app store. These videos are provided by different advertising companies, Depending on what developers have ad campaigns running, the internet connection, your language and country, there might be no videos available sometimes.
If you are in the US and have internet, there should almost always be a video available. If there isn't, usually within 30 seconds you can try again.
There are other factors that could cause no videos to play. You might have the location or GPS of your device disabled, or you might have an ad blocker running.

By Kelvin Tan on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

wow 600k logs! I really wonder what's the max quantity a resource will reach in a quest before it will permanently disappear. michelle can u enlighten us on this? I am currently half way towards my next estate expansion, that is to make 1200 armor and 1200 silver bars and 100 million gold! really enjoying the process hahaha!

By MikeFont on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Hello all,
Because VO isn't speaking whole number amounts beyond 99000 I couldn't figure out how much gold I needed for my next astate upgrade. So, I had to ask my daughter to read the screen and let me know.
Uh, once I turned off screen curtain that is. :)
Anyway, she was unable to read the tiny string of numbers and text, she actually had to use a magnifier! My daughter is in her 20's and is a university student, and has 20 20 vision.
So my question is, normally she can read my phone just fine, is the text truly this small for all sighted gamers who play Crafting Kingdom? Its rather hard to believe.
If this is not the norm, what could be wrong with my display for this game?

Thanks for a better understanding. Also, is there a way to get VO to speak higher amounts than 99k without reading by single digits?
Thanks!

By Michelle on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Hi Mike,
No, the numbers are not normally this small. When accessibility is off, the numbers are formatted with commas and decimal points, and abbreviated. For example 60.5K for 60500.
When accessibility/VoiceOver is on, this formatting is turned off, because it would confuse VoiceOver. And if the language is English, the numbers are even converted to text. In both cases the numbers become so long that the UI makes them really small in order to make them fit into the allowed space.

The last update with the textual conversion should have fixed the reading digit by digit. It's possible we missed some numbers though. If you can you tell me where this happened, I can ensure it will be fixed in the next update.
Are you playing in English?

Hi Michelle,
I like how you never know where on the screen the treasure chest will appear, but I feel that VoiceOver users are at a somewhat disadvantage, because they have to listen to what they swipe past. I know this is a subjective thing, but was wondering if the time the treasure chest stays on the screen could be changed by some reasonable factor or if you could put it in the swipe up and down order, so that it is faster to get to.

Thanks.

Hi,
Yesterday I was thinking that I would create a spreadsheet to calculate maximum production to force myself to learn simple formulas. <smile>

Hi Michelle,
I'm finding that my iPhone 5S freezes when I play the videos and I have to shut the game down and restart it. Is there some way to diagnose and get you more information?

1. Better to make it not disappear at all since you're not fighting with others for it. Oddly enough it doesn't always seem to disappear. It tends to happen to me when it's right up top. If voiceover lags in reading the various buttons I'm likely to lose it then.
2. The places where the gold report is off are numerous. I didn't know adding proper commas would confuse voiceover, figured that might actually help, but I've never developed anything at all. I've got a six-digit balance right now while I try to get the next estate upgrade, so let's see.... It reads as single digits in the main screen, production yards, estate and city and castle. Pretty much everywhere. It's a slightly annoying bug, but I don't have trouble figuring out the larger numbers.
3. I agree a stop production button would come in handy. I just had to buy another storage level even though 600 was exactly what I need for the current estate upgrade since we can't make installments because after selling some of my meat off when storage was full, it produced another one, which threw off the symmetry since there isn't a button to sell a single. There should be, for one and five, to allow for the greatest storage management.

Hey Jim, I typically use a 6s+ for game play, but I still have my old 5S and noticed that it lags considerably more as well as freezes when I use it. I can't say for certain, but I bet it has to do with the older components in the 5S. To me it feels like I'm trying to ride a bike without oil on the chain.

Hi,
One thing that is very tedious is having to go to my various properties, start up the automations for each slot. Let's say you have 5 slots of logs, one slot of timber, two slots of grain in the farm, etc. You first have to start the automatic produce in lumber forest, then start up the produce of food/whatever else. I believe it would be less tedious/more productive if we could have a start all automations button for all the buildings/produce we currently have. Just my thought.
Also the flicking is very buggy on my end. Running on 6S plus. Sometimes flicking works, other times you have to flick with some force, it works the same if VO is turned on vs off.

Hi michelle,
I was using the previous version of crafting kingdom that's out now, and I think the main problems that were causing this tiny text issue was having both accessibility mode on and VO on as well. Oops! :)
Had we known I'm sure the text would have read as you indicated. Yes, I'm using the game in English.
I'm really hoping the dev team comes up with a way to get these great boosts other than the videos, because they're even causing issues with my game. lol
I'm forced to double tap the get button in the ad, "if I can find it..." and then close ap store in the ap switcher, and half the time I have to close out crafting kingdom also and restart it. Rather time consuming and annoying in short. :P

Still no problems with flicking either left/right or up and down. Double tapping is ok too though again, the extra force is required, but I doubt that's fixable.
Thanks for all your hard work on our behalf, and keep up the great work! Really looking forward to a new update! :)

Whenever I play a video to activate boost voiceover doesn't respond at all. Anyone else having this issue?

By MikeFont on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - 14:22

Sometimes VO stops speaking while I'm focused on a video as well. I eventually have to double tap anywhere to get the ap store to open up before I can get the game focus back. Its dang tricky to get going again. lol
For a while there I was able to tap on the L button which acted as a back button and it would close the video and return me to the game with no more problems. Rarely do I see/hear that L button any more.

Again, I hope the dev team can come up with another way for us to aquire these boosts. Perhaps it'll come down to a subscription based fea where we're allowed any of the boosts so long as we're subscribed to received them.
I kind of hope not because this means sighted folk can just run a free video and get the same boost we're paying to get because of the accessibility issues. hmm, sometimes ya just gotta pay to play. Wish I had a better solution for this. :)

Thanks for all the work you've been doing with accessibility of this game. I'm pretty well hooked. I spent a bit too much time on it last night. Just curious, are you still looking for additional beta testers? I'd be glad to sign up. Thanks again.

Hi, I'm loving playing Crafting Kingdom, however, some of the ads come up like a blank screan. I have to tap around, and once I've closed the app store and clicked back into the game, my wife has to find the back button. can this be fixed? it's a real pain, and it's keep ing some of my friends from using the boosts. Thanks, Tom.

hi all, i have just unlocked the quarry and have a sizable amount of gold and storage, but what is the purpose of restarting just to gain some rewards? surely, the further i get it will be more tiresome having to act like i've never played the game; to build up a good strategy and storage space etc., only to have restart again and build up again? may complete my 50 automations then restart, as then all current quests are completed. Great game but just loathed to restart lol
