Would this be available in Australia?
Hey, this seems like a pretty cool power bank. My question is would this be available in Australia?
10000 MAH
10000 milliamp hours for $80 is insane to me. I know, I know. The TTS, and the pins. But you can get a regular power bank that is around 45,000 milliamp hours for almost half the price.

Thanks for Your Honest Feedback
Hi Ernesto,
Thank you for your feedback.
XO is designed to offer more than basic charging. With just one press, you can hear the exact battery percentage, so there’s no need to rely on visual indicator lights.
It also provides tactile battery feedback, which is especially useful in quiet environments when you don’t want voice prompts to disturb other people. In addition, XO provides voice alerts for charging and discharging, along with multiple accessible operating modes.
These features are designed to help blind and low-vision users check battery status and use a power bank more independently and conveniently in everyday life.
We appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us, and we’ll continue working to make accessible technology more practical and useful.
Best,
The Wiltrue Team
Here’s my thing
22.5w charging speed is less than half of what the speed the iPhone 18 pro can do. When you’re charging your phone via power bank, you’re looking for a quick charge, you wanna be back using it very quickly, so charging speed is important. I’m very disappointed that it’s so slow at charging devices.
Also curiosity question
Is this power bank only offered in English? I only ask because on your website you mentioned you support over 20 countries so…
Re: Here’s my thing
Thank you for the feedback. We understand that 22.5W may not be fast enough for users who expect quicker charging.
For future versions of XO, we’re currently looking at around 45W as a possible next step, and we may explore even higher charging power as technology, battery safety, heat management, and product size continue to improve.
So 22.5W is definitely not where we plan to stop.
Re: Also curiosity question
Thanks for asking! At the moment, the XO Power Bank currently on sale is available in English only.
For future versions, we’re planning to add more language options, including Spanish, German, French, and other languages. Our goal is to let customers choose their preferred language when placing an order.
As we expand into more countries, multilingual support is definitely part of our product roadmap.
Re: Also curiosity question
Honestly, seems a bit contradictory, unless you mean, you ship/deliver to 20 countries which in that case it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change the wording on the website, not everyone in the world uses English as their main language, some may not even know the language
I've ordered this power bank.
I ordered this on Friday evening. I can't wait to check it out! A power bank isn't really something I have need for very often, but perhaps that would change if I actually had one I liked and could fully use.
Sorry but
How do you use a powerbank rong? you plug it in to the device in question, and it charges. Most newer banks have tiny numerical screens that seeing AI or even the normal lockscreen camera on iPhones have no trouble reading if you really must know the level. A feature like level read out is more important on smaller power banks like this but then, your paying more for less because you now have to acount for fitting in electronics for the speech and pins, now you could have got 2 to even 4 times the copasity for its cost, and its only extra function is to talk and show indicator pins that are in percentages of 25 with no ability to choose the language on the device. well i guess i personally just don't see the point. Not even 4 points. or pins. :) I like the idea, and its awesome that someone from the company is here answering questions, and maybe one day if the capacity gets bigger while staying in that price range i will jump to them, because small companys and all that. Also seeing how the longterm life of the pack is, because that is what i have seen other atempts at accessible battery banks skimp out on. Best of luck and hope to see awesome things in the feuture.
solar
If this had solar charging I'd be all over this thing. Think of all the users you'd get with both solar and USB charging? Keep in mind I have not looked at the specifications and if this is indeed the case then disregard. I camp and fish sometimes and would love for this to be on the roadmap.
Just use the phone's own camera.
Just use the camera of the very same phone that you're charging to know the status of the power bank. The power bank charges the phone; the phone tells you how much juice the power bank has left to charge it as the power bank continues to supply power. This mutual interaction and reciprocity between two technological devices can be turned into a dramatic novel or movie. An AI written one. And then you can make quite a lot of money. The concept of an accessible power bank is one that I thought of so long ago, but I don't have the money to actually manufacture it. So you have the idea but someone else has the money and sells a niche product that does stuff that can be done in other ways, at quite a high price because we can always be exploited for our needs and demands.
Re: Just use the phone's own camera.
That is exactly my point in a nicer way lol. But i guess as long as people will jump on anything because oooh it talks! then they have a marcket.
checking powerbank status on phone is less convenient
To me, having a talking power bank is infinitely more time efficient than firing up live recognition or whatever to check the status of the power bank. Why would I want to waste 30 seconds or longer doing something that would take 10 seconds or less using this power bank?
Re: checking powerbank status on phone is less convenient
Like the 2 posts before you, You do you if you want to spend double or more the cost for a talking device rather than get more performence per dollar. and spend less time doing something that will take less time anyway if you have a higher capacity powerbank and don't have to worry about the battery level as much.
Solar power
That will come in 30 years. I do have many chargers and I check how much is my phone charging until it gets to 100%. In a perfect world, we get one that is fast, over 10.000 and not so much pricy. Accessible can be done with haptic, and tone, do we need the braille dots? I do not think so.
Two more points
i've said this before, but
the hate for developers and creative on this site is starting to get out of control. I know people have their own opinions, but it's really not cool when people are trying to help the people who actually need it, this product could be useful for some people.
but being dragged down and down and down by people who won't even use the damn thing.
Seriously, just because you don't use the product or won't use the product doesn't mean you should take everyone else with you. Some people will have use cases for it.
I use an android so checking the battery status of the power bank may not be as easy so checking it on the power bank itself sounds pretty appealing. Does that mean I would buy it? Probably not. But do I still feel sympathetic to the developer because people who aren't even going to use their product are not even trying to give any good stuff for them at least trying to develop this? Yes. Especially if the power bank does turn out to be a device that lasts long in every way such as how long it will last in regards to years and battery life itself.
I'm not saying the product is worthless or unnecessary.
What I said is that the price is too high for such a thing, partly because of certain reasons mentioned earlier that are only partially understandable. And this (that certain users will buy such products anyway, no matter how expensive) is already exactly why their prices remain so high even despite all these explicit objections. Because they always find someone like you to come up and defend them. I have no personal hatred or anything toward anyone; I knew and still know nothing about the poster even after posting about this power bank. But I do have the right to express my take on the product itself without getting personal.
Re: I'm not saying the product is worthless or unnecessary.
this is exactly my point. I even did say that if price to copasity ever gets better, i would jump on it myself.
But it won't. And that's already the whole point.
And how much? What would qualify as "sufficiently better" for you? What's the threshold? Who decides on that? And let me ask you another question. Well, this may be one that deserves an answer from the company rather than you, but my question is this: Before we can even ask whether a product with certain specs would satisfy you, we have to ask whether a product with the same specs produced by a rival company would satisfy Wiltrue. If they really fight for a noble cause and aim to make everyday items accessible, than it shouldn't matter to them if another company does that better, as the ultimate objective would be accomplished after all. But if they still protest and say, "No, wait, we're gonna do it, and we were already working on it but you beat us!" then what they ultimately strive for is their own profit and they would do nothing without this incentive, just like Apple and other global corporations. And now let me ask you a second question Ernesto. What would you do if you were the CEO and even owner of a global giant like Apple, Google, Meta, or Microsoft? Let's say you're sighted and you don't care about accessibility unless investing in it brings more profit in return. And users like me bombard you with critical reviews and complaints. And then someone else comes up and tries to win over me by releasing something that is allegedly more blind-friendly and attempting to convince me. You would try to crush that rival before it becomes a real threat, right? Even if you couldn't make your own stuff as accessible? Or what would you do if you were that minor competitor instead? Would you really fight for justice and directly address the global giants and spend all your money to demand them to make their products more accessible, or would you just found your own company and compete for a larger share of the market? Would you really resist exploiting the needs and expectations of those with disabilities? And what about Apple? How much would Apple prioritize accessibility if it depended on us to exist and grow? It's because Wiltrue is not as rich as Apple that they follow a so-called clever and careful strategy and address blind users only, claiming their product fills a vital gap. They do fill a gap, but in the market, rather than in our lives. Large corporations won't lose much if they ignore accessibility because blind and visually-impaired users make up only a small fraction of their customer base, but minor competitors like Wiltrue position themselves in that exact spot and build their narrative on this. This is why they pretend to care about us, because we constitute their customer base as they can't afford a larger one, unlike larger companies, just because we can't afford certain products as opposed to richer people. You know what? Even many blind developers themselves do the very same thing. They release an app or introduce a product, build their narrative on unrealistic and overly optimistic/empathetic claims, charge us a high price and beg for money, only to disappear after a while. And then there are some who really try to do something but don't have the money to fund their effort. So I do know what I'm talking about.
Re: But it won't. And that's already the whole point.
you don't no that, you arn't the one who made the Company you don't know what they discuss
nun of us do.
Re: But it won't. And that's already the whole point.
And you don't, or didn't, know whether my objection was driven by hatred or just disagreement, even if strong, yet you accused me of discouraging constructive discussion and attacking devs due to personal hatred.
Re: But it won't. And that's already the whole point.
lmaoo I never brought your name up, but whatever helps you sleep at night. Also, if I was personally attacking you, I would've brought your name into this, I never did. I was only talking about the communities personal attacks towards developers and creators, your name wasn't brought up so for you to assume such a thing as wild.
You brought that up right after my comment and not anyone else's
Okay, if you say so, then I won't insist.
Re: i've said this before, but
I agree with this 100,000 percent! Sometimes, I think it's all the negativity that causes us to lose out on nice things; thinking of a few iPhone games that have disappeared over the years: most specifically Solara and spellstack, I think it was called. The developer of the word game in particular was out here for a while, but I seem to recall that they were eventually driven off by all the negativity. Sure, there's risk involved if buying from a smaller company. I got burned buying the Ally Solos glasses, but something like this battery charger is relatively low-risk and I believe that it is going to meet my needs perfectly. Sure, it might not be as high power as others out there, but not everyone needs super fast or high power powerbanks. If others are happier with mainstream products, that's great, and more power to them. I have nothing against mainstream products if they're able to do what I need them to do. I'm using Meta glasses, and they're sufficient for my needs, at least until Apple releases their own smart glasses, whenever that is. I just feel as though checking the status of a powerbank with my phone would be super tedious.
Re: i've said this before, but
Hi ziixies,
Criticism of developers and products is welcome here, even when that criticism is very strong. AppleVis exists to empower blind, DeafBlind, and low vision people to get the most from Apple products and services. A big part of that 'empowerment' piece is allowing open criticism of apps, developers, and companies serving the community. If we lose that credibility of being a place where people can speak openly about their opinions of apps/developers, we will have very little left.
Highly charged
Sorry, but I can't resist the following observation: ironic, isn't it, that a debate about a power bank has brought forth such a highly charged string of comments? even more ironic, isn't it, that the comments' becoming highly charged seems to have stemmed from the power bank's apparent lack of charging capacity? These are truly, truly golden days indeed! Don't spoil it, Michael! speaking for myself, I like the convenience factor of this product. I'm not sufficiently familiar with power bank capacity to comment on the capacity. Mrs Bingo bought me a power bank a couple of years back. How much power it adds to my elbow, to say nothing of my iPhone, I've no bleedin' idea. The bloody thing either has charge in it, or it doesn't. I can see how this is not a desirable state of affairs to continue. I daresay I could recreate what this product does by taking a photo of this, running it through that app, then checking I'm correct with the other app, in the same way that I could achieve the same speed as a car simply by taking enough horses in harness for my carriage, but it does seem rather a lot of work. I think there's the makings of a good product here and as soon as I can get away with buying another power bank without hurting the other half's feelings, I might just do so. Is it available in this our England?
Ah spellstack.
I remember that game. Loved it. that is all.
to slow of charging speed
22W is entirely to slow. support 45w or higher I'll be in. You get what you pay for.
Re: Highly charged
for taking photos, no, just quickly open seeing AI, you can even make a shortcut, Or live reckegnitions text mode, and point it at your bank. you will quickly here, 100. or what ever percentage its at, maybe with a bit of redundant text if its the kind that puts the branding lable right below the display. Androids lookout also will read it and android has seeing AI .`
Re: i've said this before, but
look i completely understand this, and i do get it.
But when developers and other people come onto this site and almost every single topic is just criticism of the criticism, it just gets annoying, very quickly.
As a website developer myself, I am in full backing of the developers here who feel like they cannot post here. Because some people truly make it a toxic environment, and I'm not even trying to sound rude. I do not need to give reasons why. Go over forum topics and you can see why, but personally, if I was an app developer, especially someone who is an supporter of AI, I would stay away. Because at the end of the day, somethings have to give.
And it won't be me.
capacity
can someone explain to the uninitiated, please, the deal with capacity? Everyone's just saying oh, it's rubbish! Well, bingo doesn't know much about these matters and nobody's been arsed to translate. How many charges of an iPhone is 10000 whatever they're called? My 16 pro max seems to charge pretty slowly on the magsafe charger, so what charging rate is acceptable? dennis says it's way too slow but no point of reference is given. Way too slow relative to what? And, yes I know I can take a photo of this, that and the other to get power bank capacity but I'm too lazy to do all that and I don't have to worry about being lazy's costing a little more. I, for my part, applaud this product.
Re: capacity
Your iPhone 16 Pro Max has a battery capacity of 4000 685ma.
If a power bank is 10,000ma, that essentially means you'll be able to probably get about 2 1/2 charges out of it, depending on what percentage you're actually charging the phone from, before you have to charge the power bank itself. Phones that have a smaller battery, such as the iPhone Air, 16 E, 17 E, and SE will be able to have more charges out of the power bank. For example, my Motorola has a 5000ma battery. If I charge the Motorola twice,, from a dead battery, that is 10,000. Which is the exact capacity of the power bank, before you take into account phone capacity going down due to age, of the battery, and battery mechanics to the power bank making it so 10,000 ma-s isn't the maximum capacity anymore.
Re: capacity
just to add, my maths might be a bit shit here so if anyone could pleas correct me if I'm wrong that would be brilliant because I think I may have messed up somehow I'd imagine. I'm not good at maths and I'm not good at electronics in that way at least
50000
I found one that can charge several devices. Is portable but not accessible. When I go to visit to Indiana I can charge my iPad 9, 16 pro max and airpod pro 2 for several days without plugging the battery. Found it in Amazon and it was close to
$30. Lucky me.
Re: i've said this before, but
When we can't criticize the negativity the some devs are getting when they come here to promote a product then what good is our opinions on the matter. Sorry but something's gotta give and I'm done pretending that all this negative toxic shit I'm seeing on this post is remotely okay! Sorry but if we don't call out the shit, what point we gunna say enough is enough! Sorry but if I'm gunna get a power bank I'd rather not have to pull out my camera on my phone every single time I wanna check something from it. That's silly! Look, $80 is not, that much, however if they were to charge like $200 for the thing then yes, cause that's absurd! Different if you're charging up the ass for something that don't have ass work in the first place rather than charging a few extra bucks for something that does that one thing and does it well. Ya Dig? Invision, I'm looking right at ya. I'm all for pricing cheap but if ya gunna Oh I don't know, just give negative shitty feedback just for the sake of it, that's bullshit. I'm done pretending that the posts I'm seeing on here regarding such said toxic shit is okay and sorry but I will keep on calling it out. Mods, do with this information what you will. Ask yourselves this one question? Why do devs hesitate coming round these types of forums? Answer. Self-entitled blindies. There's a point to criticize constructively and there's negative toxicity and the latter is what I hate seeing.
When we can't criticize the negativity the some devs are getting
My charger is not accessible and if I pick up phone and check % of battery it tells me. No issues. Is not an accessible and only pay $30 for a 50000.
Re: i've said this before, but
completely aggree.
i was talking to one of the applevis menbers about this outside of here and i said my peace to them a lot more strongly then what the rools here would dictate here,, but i aggree with this 100%, something needs to change here reel quick.
we have.
(people being called out for using ai to make there apps or websights, or using it to translate text, like that guy who made ligarto was getting hell from people from it.
look, i understand the hessidincey towards AI, i really do. but at the end of the guy, if the people are giving good feedbakc on the app or websight but you still go after them, then what's the point.
i was in a 20 minute argument with someone on discord about this btw.
now, personly if i was a dev i wouldn't come here. there are thoes who are so jujmental and under the allusion that everything will be top shit as soon as the product comes out that they don't understand.
my question to you. hav you tried making something? if not, then shhhhhh, ]
there are probs a shit tun of devs out there who would like to provide for us. But if they come on here and they see people, criticizing developers over the price of an app or game, criticizing them for being not active on this site and thinking they aren't taking their feedback, attacking them for not knowing English propBut if they come on here and they see people, criticizing developers over the price of an app or game, criticizing them for being not active on this site and thinking they aren't taking their feedback, attacking them for not knowing English properly, attacking them for their app, not being fully accessible on the jump, of course they wouldn't wanna come here. They see the toxicity they see the negativity and they don't want any part to do with it. And it's been happening for years.
Just on the pricing bit. Have you seen how much Apple charges you to make an app on the App Store. $99 a year, that's not even including currency fluctuations for different countries. Not everyone can afford that, so they hike the price of the game or app higher so it brings better revenJust on the pricing bit. Have you seen how much Apple charges you to make an app on the App Store. $99 a year, that's not even including currency fluctuations for different countries. Not everyone can afford that, so they hike the price of the game or app higher so it brings better revenue for them if more people download it. For some countries, 99cents for 1000 people really isn't anything to laugh at all.
Even before David left, there was toxicity. When David left there was toxicity. After he left, it got worse because you joined me my eyes. Obviously people have their doubts and still to this day even though you've cleared it up. And I understand I get it. It's the Internet shit happens. There will be people who will be negative, but there's just way too many people who are negative and I understand that you're trying to allow freedom of speech, even though the freedom of speech that I'm currently using would be a lot more if it wasn't for these damn rules, but something has to give. As I said before, if I was a developer, and if people knew I used AI, and everything else that I said above and started criticizing me for it even though that's the way I work I personally wouldn't come here to show off my app. It's not that I can't take criticism, I can take criticism ju and everything else that I said above and started criticizing me for it even though that's the way I work I personally wouldn't come here to show off my app. It's not that I can't take criticism, I can take criticism just fine, but I'm not going to get 75 comments where only one is actually positive and the rest is harassing me for one reason or another
im glad that there is people who can see through the Hysteria
I'm glad that there are people like Jonathan and Missy who see through the hysteria. Who are legitimately giving good feedback.
The funniest part about all this, most of the arguing is about the charging speed and lower capacity.
Let's just be real here. Those who are complaining about low charging speed,?
please tell me. How much wattage does your phone charge at? Because I promise you, majority of people who use this product there charging whatage support will be similar to this power bank so I don't really see what the criticism is here. And also just on the low capacity power bank part, again I really don't see what the problem is. Yes it's 10,000 MA for $80. But 10,000 MMA is pretty decent. It's obviously not the best, but it will work, and for most people that's all they need. Something that is accessible, something that will work.
Re: i've said this before, but
Shit man why you think I'm not a game dev or anything. I would like to be one but hell. Yeah, I get it, there's always going to be some type of criticism and I can take that but if all ya gunna do and I've been seeing it as of late, be toxic about it, that's where I'll say screw it with you people. Trust!
Re: im glad that there is people who can see through the
Now that you say that, I really do not see why the fuss on charging neither. Does it charge your phone? Great! Maybe not as fast but if you'll still be able to use the phone while charging, that's all that matters. I charged on a solar charger that a buddy of mine had and I do believe that was 10000 Ma but it got the job done. Hell, put your phone in airplane mode if it means that much to ya. I swear some people.
Re: i've said this before, but
Completely agree. I understand again. Some criticism is good, but when 953 comments out of 955 are people who either don't know how software deving works or do know how software works but they think that there better than you, they go on the instant attack, it doesn't help anybody.
It doesn't help them.
It doesn't help the developer.
it doesn't help the developer. because all of this happens and they don't really wanna go to that platform anymore so they would go to a platform that they view as being more safe and opening to them.
which means you don't hear about the program or don't hear it as much. Also, I'd be interested in lerning about your games. It sounds cool, but I don't want to hijacked this topic more than it already has been.
Re: im glad that there is people who can see through the
that's my point.

this was through ai overview but most of the idevices would charge just fine.
your phone would charge at the speed your used to if it's an older phone.
only if you have an 17 or newer would you see a bit of a drop in speed.
Re: Just use the phone's own camera.
I'm sorry but pulling out your phone just to have seen the status of the juice of your power bank is so silly it's not even funny! I'm going to laugh every single time I hear someone say that now because it's so ridiculous I can't stop laughing. No sighted person pulls out their phone to look at charge on a power bank do they? No? I rest my case! You blindies yell oh we need to be treated normal just like our sighted counterparts and yet ya say stuff like this? I'm sorry but if a sighted person comes up to me and sees my phone held up to a power bank, yeah. They gunna ask! hypocritical much? Yall want inclusivity? Act like it! I live and breathe the sighted community every single day, it's important not to draw attention to ourselves. Hell the work I do, I don't go out labeling myself as blind, nor does anyone I work with do that cause they know me. Why? Cause, that would be weird. Okay. I said too much off topic. I'ma stop now. But ya get the point.
Re: Just use the phone's own camera.
yup. at that point i'd just not use a power bank if someone suggested that to me.
Re: Just use the phone's own camera.
Hehehe right? either that, or just make sure the power bank is fully charge and if ya don't feel the phone charging, press the button Lol. But if I'm in a position to where I must know, I ain't about to pull out my phone just to have a gander.
Re: Just use the phone's own camera.
but surely you would no if the phoen is charging? would it not vibrate, and if you have speach ternd on wouldn't it say xx percent charged?
