Re: i've said this before, but
I don't have any games I've made as of yet simply for these reasons I listed above. I do have a few ideas in mind I'd like to bring out sometime, possibly way, down the line. But if I make something, you'll be the first to know. Okay, I'm done hijacking. So sorry. Back to the topic.
Re: i've said this before, but
Hi all,
I need to step in here.
AppleVis has always welcomed open criticism of the site, our policies, our moderation decisions, our leadership, and the way we operate. Community members are free to disagree with decisions we make, to believe that we have handled something poorly, and to say so publicly and strongly. That includes criticism of me personally, including my stewardship of AppleVis since David's departure.
Likewise, community members are free to disagree with the opinions expressed by other members. You may believe that another person's criticism of a developer is unfair, excessive, unhelpful, or simply wrong, and you are welcome to state that and explain why. Disagreement (including strong disagreement) is welcome, provided that it remains respectful and focused on what has actually been said.
Where we need to draw the line is when disagreement turns into personal attacks, ridicule, derogatory characterizations of other people, or attempts to police who is entitled to express an opinion. You are responsible for what you post. The AppleVis Editorial Team is responsible for moderation as a whole.
Jonathan and ziixies, I also must ask both of you to please rein in the profanity going forward. Our guidelines permit limited use of mild profanity when it is used sparingly for emphasis or expression, but not in excessive amounts or in a degrading or demeaning way. The amount and manner of profanity in this exchange are at the very edge of what we consider permissible. Please keep this expectation in mind going forward.
Thanks.
bloody hell I've started something here!
Ziixies, thank you so much for the no nonsense, idiot's guide to battery capacity. It was exactly what I needed, and I mean that in all sincerity. In that case, what the devil's all the fuss about, folks? Why do I need 50,000 MA? Surely, I'm going to be in the vicinity of a slug pocket every couple of days or so? I cannot conceive of an environment which would force me to charge up my iPhone ten or so times using a power bank. I'd be happy to pay the price for this one, and that's the point, isn't it? If you want to pay $30 for 50,000,000,000,000 MA of inaccessible capacity and start taking photos of the inaccessible display, I will defend to the last your ability to do so. But I am not cut of the same cloth. And yes, I know some of you like to charge up a thousand devices at once. How you get the bloody thing on the table with all that plugged in I've no idea, but it is not for me to comment on your practical arrangements. I can see how this might not be the product for such multi-device merchants, but that don't make it a bad product.
Just to be clear, especially with Jonathan C on the case in his own, inimitable way, please don't count me among the entitled blindies. I think the developer is doing something really good here and I, for one, would buy it. I will do so, once I can credibly purchase without offending Mrs Bingo. The only negative feedback I have for the developer is that my question still remains unanswered: is the power bank available in this our England?

Is better to have it and need it when something goes wrong.
Re: bloody hell I've started something here!
hahahahaha, your welcome.
Imagine it would be available in the UK. Worse comes to worse, it's available in Australia so
But yeah, like I really don't understand what the faucet is. It only took until the iPhone 16/17 to really think about starting to go over this power bank charging speed. Not everybody here has an iPhone 16 or 17. And at the end of the day, I really don't think a power bank is meant for fast charging anyway, if you want fast charging try to find an outlet I know that's hard for some people but really it's either one way or the other.
Re: Bingo Little
Fair enough. What I personally do if something were to go wrong safe for example of power, emergency, charge my phone power, and just use the device conservatively, only for really major things would I use it. Most of the time I would have my MacBook or another device to charge the phone anyway with if the power bank dies during an emergency.
Re: bloody hell I've started something here!
Oh well in that case that's fine. If it isn't available in the UK I'll hop over to australia and purchase it. I'll be staying at your house, mind. line up some cricket for us to attend - the pink ball Test in Melbourne, perhaps? And behave yourselves in South Africa this time round. He's got sandpaper, in his pants, etc.
Re: bloody hell I've started something here!
I could ship it to England! I also do not watch the cricket, I'm more of a rugby league type of person. In fact, I would listen to Wakefield versus Warrington this weekend, but I'm going camping so probably will not have Internet reception so I guess I will have to listen to it when I get back home. I will eventually end up probably buying this power bank to be honest though. And I've said the lack of battery capacity, my Motorola has charged slower than this power bank so I can deal with it.
Different voltage rates down under
I am not sure, but I think you differ from us in that we run 240 volts through the mains supply. Enough to cook you if you put your fingers in the slug pocket. So while your offer is very kind, I'd probably better buy it directly into this our England. Plus the fact that, since we still insist on regulatory alignment with the EU on so many things, notwithstanding that we have left the EU, it's probably contrary to something or other. although I am a rugby union man, all geared up for the World Cup in Australia next year (albeit I imagine australia will be eliminated therefrom at a comparatively early stage I'm afraid), I will tune in to the warrington game this weekend. A rugby league showpiece and a splendid northern rivalry.
Re: Different voltage rates down under
I wouldn't think voltage would matter if using a power bank. I thought it only mattered for the power bricks the things that used to come with the phones in the box.
Also, I did listen to a few rugby union games. But most of them were the super rugby Pacifica games. Also, when I used to have the BBC sports app on my iPhone, I would have it so it would tell me every sports score that it had access to. Which included most rugby Ian competitions. I just haven't gotten around to listening to a game.
