if this is wrong for Applevis, please delete it. But, I do need help. I have an Amazon basics deadbolt with the keypad, and I can’t reprogram my entry code. The batteries ran out and of course that meant everything got erased. I found a couple of videos which have helped a little. But, when I try to do the things it says to program my entry code, it doesn’t work. Does anyone have experience with this device and any advice?

Keep in mind; I have no idea if this will work.

I'd highly recommend using co-pilot to ask questions like this, it's very useful.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you change the code on your AmazonBasics Electronic Deadbolt:
1.
Install New Batteries: First, make sure you have fresh batteries installed in the lock. This usually requires four AA batteries.
2.
Enter Programming Mode:

Press the Unlock/Lock button on the keypad.

Enter the default programming code (usually 0000) and press the Unlock/Lock button again.
3.
Change the Programming Code:

Press 4 on the keypad, then press the Unlock/Lock button.

Enter a new 4-digit programming code of your choice and press the Unlock/Lock button. The lock should flash green twice and beep twice to confirm the change.
4.
Delete the Default User Code:

Enter your new programming code and press the Unlock/Lock button.

Press 2 on the keypad, then press the Unlock/Lock button.

Enter the default user code (usually 1234) and press the Unlock/Lock button. The lock should flash green twice and beep twice to confirm the deletion.
5.
Add a New User Code:

Enter your new programming code and press the Unlock/Lock button.

Press 1 on the keypad, then press the Unlock/Lock button.

Enter a new user code (4 to 10 digits) and press the Unlock/Lock button. The lock should flash green twice and beep twice to confirm the new code.
6.
Test the New Code: Finally, test the new user code by locking and unlocking the door to ensure everything is working correctly.
