Initial experience of Weather Gods iOS app on M1 Mac is encouraging

Thank you - I was wondering whether iOS or iPadOS apps could be accessible with VoiceOver if run on an M1 machine. Apple must have implemented the necessary code to support the iOS accessibility APIs in VoiceOver for Mac. It is also my understanding that Apple's development tools are designed to make it easy to customize applications for the Mac, starting from a working iPad version. This may soon start to happen with greater frequency, which will be good for the Mac environment.

Thanks for the feedback on Weather Gods. I enrolled as part of the developer transition program but the machine they give you (sorry you purchase and give back) was a Mac mini running an iPad chip and not the M1.

I don't have an M1 at the moment and I'm not likely to get one until the MacBook Pro 16" is M1, so that's really good to know.

I tested the widgets etc and made some tweaks for the Mac so hopefully they are good too?

Did notifications work? I wasn't able to test these.

Hi, I was just wondering, have you seen any improvements to the speed of Voiceover running under the new M1 chip?

Given the large increases in performance in native Apple apps, I was hoping that Voiceover would perform better in some way.
