Can feedback assistant be used without using a beta? I was going to say on stable versions but I honestly couldn't bring myself to.
Apple accessibility told me to as I was expressing my frustrations with how long it took to submit bug reports to them. But when I open it, I seem to be forced to enrol for the beta program or enrol as a developer. If I go with the beta option, can I just ignore beta updates and just use this to report feedback or is it going to start downloading betas?
Given my recent fortunes with the supposedly good releases of macOS I don't think I am particularly enthused by the prospect of installing even more buggy versions.
I thought I'd ask here. I replied to Apple but might be another week before they get back to me. I suspect I am on the naughty list after some of my recent emails.

No to beta, yes to enrolled
You don't need to be running a beta to be able to access the Feedback Assistant and file reports, but you do need to be enrolled in the apple Beta Software Program.
To access Feedback Assistant when not running a beta:
On Mac, in the Finder , choose Go > Go to Folder, type /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications, press Return, then double-click Feedback Assistant.
Alternatively, in Safari , type applefeedback:// in the search field, then press Return.
The second of these options also works on iOS and iPadOS.

Great, thank you. I presume I would just elect if I wanted to install a beta but otherwise it stays on the normal releases?
I will give it a go when I'm next reporting a bug to Apple. You can also get to it through Spotlight by searching for feedback and Feedback Assistant comes straight up. I just got a bit scared when it asked me to enrol!
