Description of App

RS Games specializes in the development of accessible games, products and software for the blind and visually impaired. RS Games are played by thousands of visually impaired people on Windows and Mac computers, and Blindfold Games and RS Games teamed up to create this app.

Now you can play any of the 20 different multi-player games on an iPhone, iPad or iPod. Just login with your RS Games account, or create a new account, and start playing.

Several of the games are free, and others are available with an in-app upgrade.

You can start a public game or a private game, or you can join one of the public games that haven't started yet. You can add computer bot players to your game to make it more exciting.

Accessibility Comments

The game is very accessible to use. Please see below for more information about sme non-typical gestures when using this game.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

Please note that the typical VoiceOver gesture to swipe left and right in certain areas will not work as expected. For example in the Starting Game section. You will hear Use an Existing Account and if you swipe left or right you will hear Quit. One must use a flick up or down from the Use an Existing Account to find the Create an Account. This can be found throughout the app. So be careful about this gesture. The other is that the Log In can be tricky at first. Enter your UserName and don't touch anything else and use the Return key at the bottom right corner. If you get the response of New Line. You will have to do it over again by shutting down the app and start over. Also, after entering your Password and hitting Return. This next page want to let you know that it will remember your credential so you don't have to remember it again. If I touch anything by swiping or anything you will get stuck. Whenn you get to this page just double tap on the screen without doing anything else. Lastly, for some of you out there I may caution you on the sticker price. As you are aware that you may have been spoiled with the genrous free games on the actual RS Games site. That is not the case in this app. Luckily, you can just purchase the game you want without breaking the bank. Just remember it cost the developer money to create this game and pices like this are pretty reasonable for the work that they had to put in to this.

Leave any suggestions and tips in the Comments below so that others can enjoy and even any feedback for the developer.

Enjoy the game! :)

Awesome! Glad to hear that you guys are talking about it. In theory it wouldn't be at all hard to code it in as long as all the backend stuff is good. I think.

I have been playing the Blindfold RS Games but cannot figure out how to pause a game so that I can resume it at a later point. Such games as Monopoly or Uno can take a while and I would like to be able to resume but I seem to lose the game and need to start a new one. Any help is appreciated.

If RS games and others like it would be written in such a way like Words from Words was done, I could easily play this game with a braille display. Unless I'm missing something, there is no easy way to play this and other games like it with braille. I set up "use braille display instead of speaking" under settings. The braille display gets the info through flash announcements, but this is not a practical way to use it with braille during game play. let me explain. When I even go to log in, I'm prompted to do so through an announcement that I must press space with N to read. Ok, but then how can I log in using controls with the braille display? Let's say I'm logged in. Again, everything must be done through the announcements. So I'm prompted to choose a game. Again, I must hit space with N to read the entire message. Then, during game play, each time a new flash message appears, unless I wish to press space with N to re-read the flash message and then space with N again to leave the flash message, there is no way to use this with braille. Having VoiceOver support delivered in the way in which it was intended, as done in Words From Words as an example, I can use the braille display without trying to use the mode intended for braille users. It works perfectly!!! Please consider a similar implementation for other Blind Fold games. It would not only be useful for VoiceOver users, it also allows DeafBlind people to play equally. And there is then no need to learn new gestures, keyboard commands, etc. Thank you for your time and consideration regarding this suggestion.

This is a second posting of my original. I am still trying to discover how to pause a game such as Uno so that I can return at a later time. I have read through all help available both within the game and the website but still cannot discover the proper iOS gester. Any help is much appreciated.

Hey Marty,
I've noticed some minor bugs in the game at times.
For example, if someone plays a background stream, when they turn it off, the default game soundtrack overlaps over another default game soundtrack that is already playing.
However, I have a question. Are you going to implement press enter on bluetooth keyboard to start the game? Because you can't do that apparently, you have to do it by do a three finger swipe right.
Thanks.

I love this app but I would like to play some of the games with my family who are all sighted. Is there an app that links with this one for sighted users to play these games against those of us using blindfold rs games?

I have purchase 2 game packages but unable to use it. from what I noticed, there is no expiration date but for some reason I can't play any of the 2 games I have purchased. and according to my understanding, after you purchased the game you can play it on any device as long as you use the same user but I was unable to do so. and not long after the purchase, I lost all my purchase and unable to play the game on any device at all. now the only game I can play is the free game. so I lost my money and can't ask for the refund either. I tried to contact them but no reply.
