Hello everyone,
I'm excited to introduce VoiceTag, my very first app that I developed as a blind developer.
What is VoiceTag?
VoiceTag allows you to associate voice memos with your everyday objects using NFC tags. No more peeling braille labels or complicated systems: simply stick an NFC tag on any object, record a voice memo, and you're done!
How does it work?
- Stick an NFC tag on the object you want to identify (DVDs, medication boxes, clothes, folders, etc.)
- Open VoiceTag and scan the tag with your iPhone
- Record a voice memo describing the object
- The next time you scan that tag, your memo will automatically play
Main features:
- Burst mode: Scan multiple tags in succession without having to press a button between each scan
- Automatic stop: Recording stops automatically after 3 seconds of silence
- Backup and import: Export and import your memos to save or transfer them
- Tag locking: Protect your tags against accidental modifications
- Complete customization: Enable or disable features according to your needs in the settings
- Universal compatibility: The app works with any type of NFC tag compatible with your phone (I sell the app, not the tags!)
The app is fully VoiceOver compatible and was designed from the ground up with accessibility as the top priority. VoiceTag's philosophy is simple: an easy and intuitive experience for everyone by default, with advanced options for geeks who want them!
Coming features:
Future versions will include (always as optional features): - Automatic backup - Scanning tags with text only - Enhanced tags combining text and voice - And other surprises!
