I'm just fed up now after three months of owning this iPhone 17 pro Max. I have had nothing but trouble since day one, it's been changed twice already because it's been so unuser a friendly, it literally stalls non stop, the new device 17 pro max, the third one initially stalled during the phone start. I was sitting there for two hours while the phone was starting. It kept stalling and this was an eye opener of things to come.
Phone freezes, constantly freezes going online My signal is perfect, buts it's an issue, the phone is all over the place over where settings are concerned, they are not in the usual place and I have to google it to find out where they are. Siri keeps saying "I don't know who you" sometimes I have real issues getting online. It's a pain in the proverbial, I regret paying 1800 quid for this. I had a perfectly fine working iPhone 14, which was in excellent shape after 2 and 1/2- three years. I should've sent this phone back. I'm sorry iPhone 17 Pro Max, I should've sent you back! Coz my darling iPhone 14 was golden!
I just did a restart in the night and I woke up this morning to hello, what region are you in? Choose your network, blah blah blah and then I saw the age verification come up they wanted my bank details, a credit card, but I don't have a credit card because I don't borrow money. I don't need to. It wasn't accepting my debit card. I don't have a national ID. We don't have one in the UK, so I tried my passport, that wasn't having it either, it wasn't taking my face recognition, so it kept failing what a pain in that proverbial again! I had to press continue later, but the later button wasn't pressing. and I was there pulling my hair out for 10 minutes, pressing this continue button so I could continue and use my own phone. and after 10 minutes, pulling my hair out and getting my old phone out to book an Apple Service appointment I thought "I'm never doing another update ever again!"

there we go ...
Regulations escalate everywhere. In the Internet, and IRL. In Europe, in many countries you are not allowed to have a multitool in your pocket any more, because it's considered a weapon. What a bad joke.
this is not Apple's fault
This is not the fault of Apple. Blame the UK government. Apple has to comply with the regulations. Their hands are tied.
It's like 2023, all over again...
While not the same exact issue as you, three years ago I had a rather similar issue with a brand new iPhone 15 Pro. Went through two of them, brand new devices mind you, overheating to the point of bricking, for me to throw my hands up in the air and say to hell with pro model iPhones. I currently am using an iPhone SE 2022, and I don't think I have half of the issues of people with AI compatible iPhones these days.
For what it's worth, I'm sorry that you are experiencing this.
As for the age verification thing, that is unfortunately UK/EU law, as I understand it. 🙁
