First off, I'm so sorry for your loss. I've heard good things about Insight Timer and Ten Percent Happier. In addition, I tried out the free version of Calm but didn't find it that accessible with VoiceOver. That was about 4 years ago so things have probably improved. Hth and good luck. Once again I'm so sorry for your loss. She will be deeply missed.
What about Finch? I know it has its quirks. But, it might be a good idea. Also, I'd look on your music/streaming apps and see if there's any podcasts on depression, grief, etc. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Dominic. When my dad passed away, I found myself turning to apps like Calm and even podcasts about grief for a sense of grounding. Also, on those quiet nights, I fooled around with MyNoise; sitting with relaxing sounds helped me breathe through it all.
