Hello Apple Vis forum
Knight Commander has just been approved for the App Store.
It has been a real struggle to get it their as I seem to have broken almost
all of the guidelines that are set out for developers to follow.

The game is not as far forward as i would like as i have
been busy for the last 2 weeks to get it approved.

As with most of my apps and games they get a whole lot better
when released and people support them.

Thank you to all the people who joined in on the beta testing and gave
good feedback.
Hopefully i now have a core of people who will test future apps.

As for promo codes I have decided who will get one so please do not ask.

This is a game that is way, way too adictive. Been playing for around 4 days now, although I did restart because I stupidly went to war when I really wasn't ready... and I just can't put it down. Usually my game adictions don't last for more than two hard days playing.

I do have a few questions though. Is the healer always meant to put the healer in the hospital? How is hospital cost calculated, by which I mean does it go by how many times I've used the hospital, or how much a particular worker has landed in it?
Is there a faster way of getting food for the workers besides foraging? Such as how you can collect wood for only 5 wood but you can chop a tree and get, I may be wrong but think it's 15?
Do some tools give bonusses that are not in the medals screen? IE, do carts give a speed boost, and if so is there a difference between a cart and a bicycle? Benches vs beds vs pillows for sleeping? Are any tools useless, just good for selling?
Lastly, I think there might be an issue in quests, but it may not be. In both games I've done, the very last quest in the list, when first accepted, will not go away, succeed, or fail. Right now, the last quest is sell 50 wool in 13 moves. Well over 100 moves ago I accepted it. I sold like 70 wool and went back into quests and it did nothing. So I decided to let it fail because something went wrong and it didn't cost much. But I waited for a very long time, made several benches, then went back, having not gotten any failure notification, and it still said sell 50 wool in 13 moves.

A few bugs have been fixed in the next version.

A mana feature has been added.

Some answers
Healers will give everyone else full energy and time to work and take from there own
levels so they normally end up with a huge hospital bill.

A user guide is being worked upon.

Hi. I can't seem to put down this game because its so adicting but I have a feature request if it hasn't been added already. Is it possible that we could form groups? Example, if I have 20 people working for me I could have 5 people collecting water all at once maybe about 10 people collecting wood or what ever and so on instead of tapping on a single person over and over to give them the same task. And I have a question how do I use the simple bowl? I made it but when I send my people out for food they don't come back with more than the original amount unless if that is used later on in the game. Thanks for any help.

After updating the app, when ever I level up in the shop I don't get the extra gold bonus. Is anyone having that problem?

As of last update my weapons are bugging out. Prior to update, my guys had probably the best outfits- cannons, pistols, metal helmets, armor...etc...
After update, I saw they all went down to bow and arrows- even those that didn't have bow and arrows to begin with now defaulted to them...all my guys went down to 80 weapon values. I thought...ouch that sucks, okay that's fine, I'll just make more. So I spent next 2 hours crafting them metal armor and pikes and helmets...and got them dressed...and then a hour later I looked at weapons and they all went back to bow and arrows again!

Ok, so the war thing still doesn't make much sense to me, so I will wait for a tutorial on that. Equipping people seems buggy. Also, I have a level 4 barracks, but I don't see what it improves, and I don't see how you can use it to train guys.

The market clearly works. I am raking it in. I have 1,000,000 gold despite spending it like it is going out of fashion. If you sell a few hundred items at a few hundred gold a pop, the sound effect goes on for like 10 minutes. You can sell single items, or all of them with a long press, but I would like to see the ability to enter a value. It isn't like you can sit there and repeatedly tap to increase the amount, because focus isn't retained, so you need to sell 1, find it again, sell another and repeat.

So in summary, I have all the buildings, and several are unclear as to their purpose, or don't seem to perform as advertised. The war / equipment / barracks situation needs some serious work.

For me the future perfect is villager specialization, soldier, laborer, builder. You upgrade their skills at the barracks, gym etc, and their skill level / rank increases with accompanying increased productivity. Soldiers go pvt, sgt, lt, cpt etc, and laborers / builders go apprentice, through to master.

This has been changed although the thing when you du´ouble tap and hold on the shop is not updated. The shop will raise a random item's cost, for example sand. It will tell you a sand shop has been opened and sand now costs xxx
I can make rubber now. I still have yet to try to make a bike with rubber. I set up goals. I have currently decided I will try to build everything up to klevel ten. And also I love the unpredictable things that mean I sometimes have to redo some thing. Like when a fire got my sawmill. I love the fact that there is no actual ending or goal, that i can put up goals myself.

Sometimes the sound of the people disappear along with the whistle so I ewon't hear what is going on. This goes away if I close the app and opening it again though I have to do that really often.

Our little "council of commanders" playing on 5 different phones has experienced both the weapons thing and the sound issue. Also, the ability to be able to send groups of people in one action instead of having to tap on each one would be great, as well as the ability to select how many of something we make/sell when long-pressing an item so we don't have to make/sell every one of something in order to avoid having to press on the item until we've made/sold as many as we wanted and/or allow the focus to remain on the item we're working with until we've made/sold as many as we want to.
There's a few other things that we're wondering about that haven't been mentioned in previous posts:
1. The stock of food items still does not refresh when food is made, so when I've made fish and chips, for example, the stock continues to display whatever I had before I hit the "Make one of fish and chips" button.
2. The vineyard doesn't seem to have a task associated with it, and when we actually do have grapes to make wine from, the wine still doesn't come up as an item to make.
3. Visually, weapons do not show up either in a person's weapons screen or when we are trying to select a weapon to outfit someone with.
4. I personally have had an issue where, when I had a stock market crash, the inventory screen crashed the app, time and time again until I actually deleted the app and restarted the game.
5. Pillows show up twice in the tools screen, and both pillow options reflect matching stock levels. Are those supposed to be different in some way?

Thanks again for making such an awesome game and keeping us hooked so thoroghly on it. Some of us have gotten up to 64000 energy and 40 minutes time, with a over 5,000,000 gold.

Rofl, I seem to have hit the max allowed gold at: 2147483647. No matter what I sell now it's not going up.
I guess it's time to just sit back and wait for future updates.

I love this game. I got it 2 weeks ago today. It is just what I was looking for.
I have a request for the game if it is not too far along to change.
I really love the sound affects but many of them are the foot steps. It really helps me when I have many different things going to hear the tree falling or the water flowing to know that that task is done. Would it be possible to give more of the task their own distinct sounds?

Hello All
Thank you all for the support and feedback.
The following is posted to the app store.

Added teams
Set a persons team by tapping the team button
When you send someone on a task all members of that team
will also do the task
Added sell amount options in long press sell item.
Added Dragon

Fix for team member selection.
fix for load weapons
Fix for monster
Fix for multiple shops
Fix for sound not playing.
Removed duplicate pillow(needs start new game to take effect.)

Bugs and fixes.

The team button is on the people screen.

The disaster after the initial description will be
shortened.
This allows the text to be in a smaller box and avoids repetition of known facts.

Some answers
The screens do not auto update to the latest stock levels this
stops the accidental tapping of a button.

The food you make has no effect on the food you gather or eat via the task screens.

The user guide has been started but is a long way from ready.

Thanks for this update- the team option is aaaaAAAAAAAAwesome!

Looking forward to seeing a dragon- though I have a feeling I may regret saying that :)

I still need to get my guys re-outfitted with their original weapons after that last bug that reduced them all to bow and arrows- that'll take awhile.

I do have one complaint- and this is a major one: the sound when you craft items, it's torturous! Seriously, I just crafted 1000 fires, and had to listen to that crafting sound play 1000 times!
I'm not sure why it's changed to this way- the old versions didn't do this!
Now I'm almost afraid to craft anything in quantity lol cause it's so annoying!

John, thanks for implementing the team idea! Everyone in our group of 4 regulars is having a blast with it. Ias well as the others I regularly play with agree that the mass-production sound is a little intense. Perhaps having it that anything above 20 of something playsone sound instead of playing a sound for each item. Also, I've been having the game crash on me at varying points. It doesn't actually make it so the game can't progress, but it does happen. I haven't found a clear pattern to what causes it to crash though. Still loving the new update over all though and have run into the dragon a time or two. Aw

I agree with the other 2 posters about the sound affects. I loved some of the old sound affects and wanted more individual ones for the other tasks. However, these new sounds are a little too much. I just sold some diamonds and it took 11 minutes for the sound to stop. I timed it. Also the sound when you make things is hard on the ears.
Still over all I just love this game. It is wonderful with so much to do.

Hello,
First let me say I really like the game, but that being said I have a small issue that is driving me nuts.
Every time I go to do something with my people the application will crash for some reason. I click on the person or team and try to select what I would like to do and that's when the application crashes. I had this issue before the newest update as well. I hoped updating it would help, but sadly it hasn't.

Still adicted, and as I said before it's really... really difficult to keep me going on one game like this for longer than a few weeks and I believe we're going on a few months now. Agree about the sounds, I sold 600 wood and listened to the gold falling sound for nearly a whole minute lol. Other than that no issues. No crashes for me. I wonder if it has to do with the IOS versions of those who have experienced crashes? Also, is there a way to boost hunting? I've noticed there is for most other basic chores, for wood there are trees if you make an axe, for watter there's a well, for stone there's a stone mine, etc. So is there a such thing to get more meat from hunting?
How am I getting mana? I have gained over 5000 unintentionally, which is great. But how exactly am I achieving this?
What is resurection supposed to do?

I bought the game yesterday and what I can say is that... it is not what I expected from the description.

First of all, I find silly I need time to put someone to sleep. At the moment I have 7 people I can do nothing with because they all ran out of time. This, no offense, is ridiculous. I am completely stuck and I need to restart.

Secondly, some of the tasks seems to do nothing. For instance I sent my people to trade. At the end I heard some coins sounds but my gold remained at 6.

Talking about sounds, I need to put my phone on mute and wait... and wait... and wait untill all the 500+ sounds finish playing each time a task is finished, or I sell items.

The medals seems to do nothing. I didn't notticed any bonus for the speed even if I had over 15 shoes. Food bonus was nowhere to be found, either.

The quest thing is buggy, to say the least. I got a task to sell 50 wood in 3 ticks. I sold the fifty wood and I got the message "quest failed" and my balance fell on minus a lot.

Overal the game seems on an early alpha stage, no ideea how it got aproved by the App Store. I mean, the tutorial is insanely short, the messages and descriptions are poorly writen and helpfiles are inexistent. For instance, I have no damn clue what the blessings are for or how in the world I got the 2000 mana I have. Oh, and bonus my phone crashed when tried the "go to war" option. I am deeply disappointed and will wait some more to see if this game becomes better before I classify it as a scam and rate it one star.

-Use the hybernate function, that'll restore them to useful status.

-Trade doesn't give you gold, it gives you better prices on selling goods, so for example, if wood is priced at 30 gold, you trade, now it's 60 gold...and so on...it's super useful- I made millions just by having my 21 people trading like mad.

-Yeah that is a definite big issue with the game, and it's only this latest version too- previous versions didn't do this lol.

-I can't find the speed bonus to do anything either, but food bonus definitely works. You have to build alot of crop, fruit and animal farms for that to really do well though.

-That's because you need to go back into quest tab after you complete it to report in so it knows you are done, otherwise it will fail you.

Hi.This is a fantastic game. However, I have a few questions.First, is there a benefit to upgrading town locations, such as the stone mine, vs just making tons of stone boxes?Second, I'm not quite understanding how some of the town locations work. In particular, the town clock, food hall, and some tools as well, like shoes opperate. Is there a way to increase the energy your people get after eating? Finally, there are quests that I end up failing, even though I've sold the necessary amount of product in less moves than the quest requires. It happens rarely, but it's still a pain.

Hello All

I have taken a look at the inventory bug and re-coded it.
Hopefully it will work.

The war bug is being looked into I am not happy with the war option at all
so am starting to plan some big changes to this part of the game.

The sound problems people are having are being re-coded
currently when a group of people return at the same time the sound of the task plays.
This has been changed to play a returning task sound if different from the last one
i.e if all your teams do the same task then one sound effect will play.
If your teams all do different tasks then the sounds of them returning will play.

The ticking sound has largely been removed.

The sound of the gold when you sell something is being re-coded.
I keep on underestimating how much you play this game and the vast amounts of gold you generate.
As a result the gold loop will be changed.

Thank you for tirelessly adding/improving/fixing the game.

For war, here are a few suggestions:

1: Give war tools/weapons specific attributes- like, armor for defense, cannon for offense. Maybe on a scale of 10, cannon with 10 offense, pistol, 9, etc etc, and then same with defense for armor. This way people won't get silly and give a character 5 cannons- like I'm doing now...rofl

2: When we go to war, how about make it like an old style turn base RPG, and actually give us some texts to go with the sounds? It can be something simple as "Uncle Bob hits Darklord for 20 damage with cannon." "Darklord hits uncle bob for 5 damage with sword." etc etc

Also now that we have mana, would be nice to have magic users in battle.
I know that's probably going to be hell to code, but if you can pull it off then you will have the first ever accessible resource management+JRPG game on the market lol.

I also want to express my appreciation to the developer for working hard to keep up with the demands of the community. I got a smile from a previous post where the developer commented about how much we play the game.

Keep up the fantastic work. It's nice to see how this game is progressing from the ground up.

I love the ressurection spell because I tend to put several people in hospital because I have about a whole lot of people and I cannot keep track of them so I do group tasks wich basically means that I can't keep track of it. This sounds crual but I want some of them to die. :-)

Hi, I like the new option in the shop but now the resurrection does not work. Also there is no sounds at all on most of the task returnings.

when I turn off disasters disasters will not turn of and happen.

You have to manually turn it back off when you restart the app. I learnt that the hard way. lol

This is just to clarify something.

The task chop down trees will give wood not trees.

You only ever need 1 simple axe to chop down trees.
More than 1 axe will not give any more wood.
This is also true for hunting and spears.

Hope this helps and frees up some of your warehouse space.

Yes you only ever need 1 axe or spear to go chopping or hunting.

Bicycles and shoes speed the game up

In the new version [not out yet] it is fully implemented to apply to bicycles,shoes and gym.
The maximum time bonus you can get is 500 this will speed the game up by a factor of 2.

Hi. So I've just done some testing with the simple axes. I've used one person for this test, and started off with 0 wood after each test. One simple axe gave 15 wood per tree. Two gave 30, and 3 gave 45. Is this how it's supposed to be?

This is a humble apology to all of you who followed my
earlier false information about axes.

Apparently if you have more than 1 axe the amount of wood you
can get from chopping down the trees is multiplied by the number of axes you have.

This was news to me but then again all i do is code the game!
So what would i know!*smile

Sorry but ballet just isn't in your future so you can hang up those shoes and hang out here and continue to make Knight Commander a force to be reckoned with. We love this game and hope to see the environment to continue to evolve into something even greater.

Ok, about the bug. It does not register when you make food by updating the amount you made. You do get what you made but it does not show what you're doing like the other making screens.
