Hello all.
As the title states, I am currently using an iPhone 6S, though I am soon going to be using an iPhone 12. I've done some research, and quite a lot is different. First, obviously, there is no Home button, and a lot is done with the side button instead.
I also realized that there are gestures where you swipe from the bottom edge to the top, or vice versa. I've sort of grasped these, as my mother's iPad Mini 2nd gen had similar gestures.
But do you guys have any suggestions for me, especially since I've been using an iPhone 6S for 3 years?

Now that I have an iPhone 14 Pro after having moved from an 8, I was wondering what the various accessibility improvements were from the one to the other and where I can find a good run-down of them.
Hi all, Looking at getting a Fuelband to give me an incentive to get fitter and compete with my friends for Fuel of course.
Has anyone used one? I don't have one to play with so the accompanying app is pretty much useless at the minute. Looks ok with VoiceOver but I can't really test it at all without a band so thought I would ask here and hope someone could comment before I spend my money.
Cheers all.
I'm looking for a full size bt keyboard that has the full compliment of control, option and command keys on both sides of the space bar. I'm also looking for an up-to-date listing of bt commands we can use with VO. I understand there are a ess of them in ios9, and the listing isn't accessible to us. Thanks, apple. Not all apps have them, but apparently many do, and wouldn't it be nice to have access to all he keyboard shortcut?
I am looking for a full sized Bluetooth keyboard to pair with my iPhone 5s. I don't deal well with mini or even compact keyboards. I am the sort of person who, in the past, carried around a full sized PC keyboard in a laptop case so I wouldn't have to deal with the laptop keyboard.
This is a set of the lightening wired headphones. It worked on the XSMax though at times it said, "Accessory connected" and sometimes acted like it had a short. FYI, the same thing happened with the charging cable, so it's likely not the headset. The 14 Pro Max does not acknowledge this headset at all; the audio is never routed to it. It's as if it does nothing. The port works because the phone charges. Ideas? Thank you.
<p>Hi everyone. I am a future iPhone user and I just wanted to say how proud of Apple I am. They are the first major product manufacturer that has the blind and visually impaired community on their radar when they think of making new technology. I am currently a windows phone user and I am on my way to switching to the iPhone. I love the fact that I don't have to purchase a speech software for my phone to become accesible for me like I had to with my windows phone. The software cost me $360.00 plus tax.
Looking for a iPhone holder/stand for easy use when scanning or reading bar codes. Multi position is important; Iām thinking of videoing from our patio - no creeping! Any suggestions welcome.
Hi all,
does anyone know whether the associated app(s) for this fitness tracker are accessible with VO? I don't want to take a chance on the product without at least having an idea of the accessibility of the app or apps.
This is the Today's special Value on QVC today.
Any info / experiences / advice greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks,
Kim
I am thinking of getting rid of my Mac and relying only on my phone. I mainly use the Mac for online shopping, copying recipes from the Web, scanning documents, and printing something 3 or 4 times a year.

I've just <a href = "http://www.macrumors.com/2016/01/13/bragi-dash-impressions/"> come across this review </a> of the <a href = "http://www.bragi.com"> Bragi Dash </a> wireless earbuds. According to reviews and the site, these earbuds allow for either passive noise cancelation, or can pipe in your surroundings, focusing on voice and even incorporating directional hearing.
Hello,
Does anyone know if a Giraffe reader model works well with iPhone Se 2020?
I have an older giraffe reader. With my iPhone Se 2020, if I place it in the reader, it actually pushes the two side buttons, triggering the SOS function and calling 911.
So I need a new model. I looked at the web page here:
https://www.giraffe-reader.com/
and it doesn't list the SE 2020. It lists a lot of older phones, but I'm unsure if it has a slot wide enough that the side buttons on my phone won't be triggered.
Hi all, so my provider here in the UK is offering me a fabulous deal to upgrade to the iphone 14 pro max. Aside of course from the huge screen lol, what else do totally blind people like/dislike about it? is it worth the leap, or just stay with the 13 pro? I like the fact i'd get more of my up next widgets on the screen like i did on the ipad mini 6 that my daughter now owns, so i guess i'd be getting a fantastic battery even for streaming on 4 or 5g and or wifi plus i assume great speakers? but what else?
I currently have a iPhone 6s. I have been very happy with it. In fact, I replaced the battery almost a year ago so I could keep going with it. However, I have been noticing a little sluggishness, enough to be a bit annoying at times, and so I am considering a new phone. I have been considering a second generation iPhone SE. I like the fact that it retains the home button and finger print ID. However, I was waiting until they squashed the VO sluggishness bug in IOS 14, as I figured that, even with a new phone, I might not see much improvement in VO performance until then.
The SE third GEN that I was going to buy on Amazon disappeared on me. So, I decided on a 12 mini. How much of a change is that going to be coming from an iPhone 8? I understand that I can only use face recognition to login. Also, is the. Side button something like the home button for getting out of apps? Thanks for any help.
