Is searching on Twitter gone?

Hey guys.
So ive noticed on the latest version of the IOS Twitter app there is no way to search for people or topics.
I only see trends no where at all for searching.
So is searching just gone?
Or is this a broken feature that should be reported?

Double tap on the header at the top of the screen where it says explore and you'll get a search box.

Would you believe tapping on it and seeing if it worked? ☺️

It's a user interface convention that's turning up in a few places now. Tap on something that looks like a static header or a tab your already on or something and toggle between two options. No idea if there's any indication visually that it'll work, but voiceover certainly has no clue.

I would have never thought

I would have never thought to do that. There is nothing VO says that even gives a hint that could be tapped on.
I really thought Twitter had got rid of searching.
But that wouldnt make since to do that.
Im glad it works tho. Now that i know this and if something happens similarly on another app i can always try this.

The search feature is still there but granted, I understand why you think it’s disappeared because I thought the same too at one point! Now, when you select the ‘search and explore’ tab, to navigate to the search field, you double tap on the ‘explore’ heading which is immediately after the button which opens the account menu! I hope that helps :)
