Can anyone offer any help or tips on creating email campaigns with Mailchimp? I've imported my contacts and can get as far as selecting a template, but here is where I get stuck, both on the mac and using the IOS app. I'm using the free account at present.

I use the email beamer
I use MailChimp for a couple of lists I maintain. Two things that have helped me a lot are:
1. I have created a test list that I use while figuring out things. I just have a few addresses that I can use to check if what I'm doing works before sending it out to everyone I know. this saves a lot of embarrassment.
2> I use the email "beamer" feature. This allows me to write a post in my email client and then let MailChimp. do much of the work. You can go to the <Settings> for your list and find the "Email Beamer" address. I've added the email address to my contacts so I don't have to mess with it - it's a pretty ugly address.
When you email your message to the "Beamer," you get an email back that allows you to either send the message immediately or preview it. The preview allows you to send a test message - very handy. The preview option also allows you to do other interesting stuff like sending to social media, scheduling, etc. You don't need to worry about that stuff right now.
