Hey Maxi, all of Apple's stock apps are accessible with VoiceOver.

I too suggest that you find all of David Woodbridge's podcasts on the Apple Watch. He explains very simple how to setup a new Apple Watch.

Also, if you ever have questions, there is a huge group of Apple Watch users, including myself, that can help you out.

I've had both the Series 1 and am now using the Series 4 and don't plan to ever stop using an Apple Watch. I do find it very useful, for me anyways, to have one and love mine.

When I first bought my Series 1, I knew it was going to be an expensive toy, but over time, and wih the help of this site, I found more and more apps that I find useful to have on the watch.

Hello. are the ecg app, the walkie talkie accessible?

By Unregistered User (not verified) on Monday, July 22, 2019 - 06:42

I believe yes. I think there is a podcast that applevisdid on how to use it. The ECG do not know. I also think yes, because I not heard anyone saying no to it.

Although all of the info that Devid Woodbridge recorded in his podcasts is also applicable to the series 4 watch, you should also check out what's new with watch iOS5 from Anonymouse. Also, keep in mind that more will be coming soon with iOS 6, when iOS 13 comes out for our iPhones. It will be exciting.

Hello. I have heard of force touch. What is it and how to use it?

By That Blind Canuck on Monday, July 22, 2019 - 06:42

Force Touch on the Watch is pretty much the same thing as 3D Touch on an iPhone. In certain Watch apps, if you press firmly on the watch face with one finger, you can get a sort of context menu.

For example, in the Messages app, doing a Force Touch brings up an action, that when you do a one finger double tap, will create a new message.

Check the podcast from David about how to setup a watch. All the setting for the watch can be done via your iPhone. You will see the app call watch. There you can change faces, turn off or on volume and so on. Also in notification you can set your notification to be the same as your iPhone.

Hello applevis. i got my apple watch 2 days ago and i have 2 questions.
1. do standing reminders go off at night and if they do, can i somehow schedule it?
2. how do i close apps on the apple watch with voice over?
thanks

Pressing the crown will close apps and will return to the face you selected. Remember that you can changes faces via the watch or iPhone.

By maxi on Thursday, August 22, 2019 - 06:42

i mean closing apps like in iphones app switcher.

By Holger Fiallo on Thursday, August 22, 2019 - 06:42

Crown is the app switch. I had not heard of any other way to close apps in the watch. If there is such an animal, I had not heard about it.

The side button works as an app switcher on Apple Watch, as long as you have set dock settings to show most recent apps instead of favorites in the Watch app on your iPhone.
Press the side button on the watch, flick to the app you want to close and flick up once to get to remove app and then double tap.
It's the closest you'll get to the iOS app switcher on Apple Watch.

I like that you always learn new things. I do not recall ever hearing about this one. I never did so and I do not think it affects my battery.
