Hello Community,
I find myself really struggling trying to read the Apple Developer Forums, which are publicly accessible.
Trying to navigate the table list of posted topics within a selected forum, VoiceOver reads everything: Who wrote a post, how many replies there are. However, VoiceOver DOES NOT READ the most important thing at all, which is: The actual topic or thread TITLE.
Instead, in the „Thread“ column, VoiceOver announces an „Image“ element.
To reproduce:
1) grab an iPhone and open Safari.
2) Visit, for example, this link:
https://forums.developer.apple.com/community/safari-and-web/safari-extensions/content
(And no, this one does not discuss any Beta Stuff).
3) Browse through the table view supposedly presenting all currently discussed topics. And try to locate their titles.
What experiences do you make? Does VoiceOver read them to you?
I really hope there‘s something wrong on my end, and I‘d like to find out what it is.
I have already completely disabled my Ad Blocker, but that didn‘t change anything.
I can‘t imagine Apple creating such an accessibility disaster.
Then again, i wondered: Does Apple maybe „hide“ the Tread Titles in a graphic? That would explain the many images to be found on that site. Maybe Apple is doing that to keep Search engines from indexing the forum?
But as you notice, I am guessing rather wildly here.

Yes, it's on their end, not yours. Your reason is as good as any I can think of.
