Hi all,
I have an issue with voiceover. I have this issue when I upgraded to MacOS 10.14
Sometimes, when I unlock my mac and login voiceover's sounds disappears. That means,I can use all of voiceover commands but I can't hear anything. The only option I have is to restart.
I tried to change the default voice of voiceover but nothing happened.
does any one know how to get rid of this problem because it is annoying and I always have to restart.

I also started having this problem with Mac OS 10.14. It sometimes happens right after I unlock my mac but it happens at other, seemingly random, times too. When I have this problem, I turn Voice Over off and back on with VO F5. I have to cycle it off and on a couple times before the problem is corrected. So, try turning VoiceOver off and back on a few times and see if that brings speech back. It always does for me.

Exactly, it happens randomly, and especially when using Safari or Mail. Thank you very much for giving me a better solution but it didn't work. I Hope this problem will be fixed soon in OS 10.15

Do you by chance have File Vault turned on? I tried that awhile back because I was getting a lot of spam, and it seemed to do the trick but at the same time I kept experiencing the problem described here with VoiceOver. So I eventually turned off File Vault and haven't had this problem since. Also, I experienced constant speech crashes in earlier versions of the operating system but I think those have been fixed at least on my end with Apple's new back-end file system. Hth and good luck.
