Okay, I'm sure this is simple and I'm missing something simple here, but I'm tired of the circle of google searching leading me to, well, nowhere.
I am trying to figure out if there is an app that will let me write things and then dump them to dropbox in plain text without losing my formatting. What I'm currently running into, (so far I've tried Ulysses and VoiceDream Writer), is I will type the file, and it appears fine on my phone. However, when I export it to dropbox and then open it in notepad on my windows machine, all of the line breaks are gone. Anyone know why this is happening? And yes, I have tried the whole double and tripple space before pressing return. That does nothing.

why it happens
I think one reason this happens is that different operating systems use different codes for
carriage return and linefeed. so if you go from apple to ms you may get such anomalies.
This is a very common problem for many years so there must be solutions,
but I do not know them.
