Yes, I will be purchasing the new Airpods. I was originally going to purchase the first generation, after seeing a friend's Airpods for the first time a few weeks ago, but decided to hold off until the 2nd generation.

I just got them today and they're so much better than the older ones!!! The lag is almost gone.

I just ordered the airpods today. i have had 2 pairs of the first generation, how much better is the second in terms of lag?

How are they with apple watch and iPhone. Currently moving from one and the other give me a head ache and I do not even use it. Does it work??????????

It's kind of hard to describe if you haven't used them yet, but the lag has definitely been fixed a lot. Sometimes, they will lag a little, but mostly they're great

Alright, so being a little hesitant about these new AirPods having no lag, I decided to go ahead and purchase the new generation 2 AirPods, and I must admit, it's actually true... there's practically no lag.

I remember when the generation 1 AirPods came out, people were saying the same, but after buying my own pair, realized that those who claimed that the first generation AirPods had no lag must have been hallucinating as I could clearly tell there was a definite lag.

This didn't really bother me that much as I loved using these for my daily long commute.

Upon hearing the same with the second generation, I got a pair and decided to donate my old pair to my goddaughter, whom is also blind and wanted a pair but couldn't afford them.

I must say that, at least this time, the rumours were true. I am indeed very happy with this new pair.

Now I am looking forward to the Bose Frames becoming avaible in Canada as I am looking forward to giving those a try.

oh there is definitely a lag with the first generation airpods, under normal circumstances not an issue when just listening to audio, but typing with VoiceOver is painful, and is partly why I still have wired earphones, other reason is I have grown to like my noise cancelling technology especially for cars planes etc, airpods are just not fun in those sorts of noisy environments. now if the rumous are true about them coming out with noise canceling airpods, that could get me to ditch my wired earphones. On the other hand maybe not considering the warranty is 5 years for them which is pretty good.

I am more than ready to get the new airpods, but right now, I ahve other things that must be purchased. Ah, the joys of being an adult! Nonetheless, I will be happy to get my hands on them, and my old ones will probably become my Aira kit headset.

To the person commenting about the Bose Frames... they're nice. They also don't have much lag. I recommend them!

I do look forward to the Bose Frames being available in Canada, I just hope that Bose sells them in store.

I would like to be able to see them up close and to make sure I get the right fit before buying them.

I am also happy that Bose has finally made their iOS app fully accessible too. I recall trying to use it before and having no luck.

As for the AirPods 2, the sound is the same and they still sound slightly better then the EarPods. I am just happy that the lag is practically gone.

I just received my second generation AirPod 2 today after ordering from Apple several weeks ago. I never had AirPods before, but my first impression is that these really sound nice.

Works very easily with Hey Siri. Also the double tap feature is really handy for stop/pause and next track functions. I'm looking forward to using them a lot for reading, listening to podcats, etc. without wires and/or annoying other people!

So do they transition well from watch to iPhone. The one I have are so call first gen and they do not work well when you have a watch and iPhone. If I connect to the watch, and attempt to use the iPhone to listen to something does not work. Is one or nothing. Wish to be able to pickup the phone and if i want to check sometime in the watch to be able to use tAP.

Hello! I still use those of the first generation, the most annoying thing for me is the fact that after a while they slip from the ears and I start to feel the bass hurt or on the one hand I feel stronger than the other. Do second generation AirPods hold better on the ears? For now I solved by buying silicone rubber pads.

By That Blind Canuck on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 - 20:11

Hey @Holger, I haven't tried to see how well they switch to the watch and back to the phone, I will have to try that today to see what happens and will let you know.

@Maranatà, the look and size of the AirPods 2 are the same as the AirPods 1. So if one of your AirPods 1 is lose in one ear, then that same one as an AirPod 2 will be the same.

I mainly got it for the reduced lag, and plust it gave me the chance to give my niece my old pair too.

What do you all think? There are rumours of an airpod 3 being developed with a possible release date for the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020. I am considering buying airpods but am hesitating now. Any tips with regards to this or other good true wireless earphones?

By Eric Davis on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 - 20:11

My ears do not get along well with air pods. ,. If I get a true wireless solution, it will probably be Bose or beats just depends on what I can find on sale at the time.

By Brian Giles on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 - 20:11

The Power Beats Pro are tempting. They sound perfect on paper but I'll have to check them out first. I love my Beats X but don't see how they could make a totally wireless version of them.

By mslion on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 - 20:11

I would be very interested into a comparison between the airpods and the powerbeats pro from a blind perspective!

By David Standen on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 - 20:11

I purchased my 2nd generation airpods this morning and love them. Have used them with both my iPhone and Mac. I never owned the first generation but these work brilliantly with VO.

A few of us fence sitters have asked about how seamlessly the Air Pods can switch between a phone and a watch. This is a show stopper for me.

Can anyone confirm whether the new Air Pods do this?

By mslion on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 - 20:11

Has someone done a device switch test? I am curious if this works at all with the airpods. I tried it with auki ep40 which said to be able to do that to but I could not switch easely between an apple watch and Iphone?

By Holger Fiallo on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 - 20:11

I also asked this question. I have apple watch 3 and iPhone xx.
