Disappointed with VO still skipping in iOS 12.2

I am very disappointed that Apple has not fixed this very long standing bug whereby VoiceOver keeps jumping to the top of the page when trying to read News articles in Apple's own News app.

This bug has been around for the last many builds, has been reported to Apple by lots of VO users, and is extremely frustrating!

Please all continue to write to Apple support and complain about this bug that makes it almost impossible to read news stories with VoiceOver!

Thanks.

I see it in Safari too! And sometimes, I iee it in Facebook. I also see a bug where I'll read something in my newsfeed, scroll to the next thing, and the out of nowhere, it'll go back to the previous thing! I sometimes see it in news, but not always. When I most see it, is when I'm reading certain news articles. Not all the time.

I will be resubmitting about this today. I was really hoping this would be fixed long ago, but certainly in the 12.2 build. As others have said, if this sort of user experience problem effected everyone, I am sure it would have been fixed by now.

This is far and away my biggest annoyance with Voiceover. I've just written them myself using my fancy brand name work signature. Keep writing, all. FYI, the email to send reports to is accessibility@apple.com

After installing iOS 12.2 it didn't take very long to realize that this bug has not been fixed so I fired off another email to Apple. Here is their response:
"Hello,

Thank you for following up. This issue is currently under investigation. We are unable to provide any additional details at this time.

Sincerely"

Sounds like we shouldn't hold our breath waiting for a fix anytime soon.

This is another impersonal canned response. *sigh*

I still get this and I just wrote to apple and told them to please stop giving us the canned responses and fix the problem.
