Coincidentally, I was trying out Zoom at work for the first time even as you were typing up your entry. It's very impressive how the alerts and chat updates give just the right amount of verbosity. I was using NVDA/Chrome. Only issue we had was that the button to set up break-out sessions didn't seem available to me, which was either an accessibility issue or else it just wasn't available to me in my session. These guys deserve some sort of award for mmaking a video service that's as accessible as FaceTime.

I was able to get Voice Dream reader and music to play on the broadcast for Zoom IOS, but I couldn't get VO to stream. Does anyone know how to get VO to stream? It would be awesome if there could be an option to broadcast or not broadcast VO. What PC does is ask what window you want to stream. If you choose any, then it will stream VO. If you choose a specific app, then it only does that app. I wish Zoom had that ability.

I am almost entirely happy with how Zoom works with screen readers, but I have one complaint.
In the distant past Zoom Cloud meetings had a keyboard hot-key for raising one's hand according to some online documentation I found. For some strange reason that hot-key no longer exists and I desperately want it back. I know this only works for people who use Zoom on an iPad with an external keyboard, but can I really be the only person who cares? The hot-keys for mute/unmute and video on-off still exist, so it isn't that. external keyboards are unsupported on iPad OS. Please, if you can, write to Zoom in the app feedback and ask them to bring back the raise hand hot-key. It is annoying to have to search around the screen with a finger to find it. It's not like it's conveniently in a corner of the screen easy to find, because they've added too many other reaction possibilities in the participant panel.. Searching via VoiceOver find command only works efficiently if in the participant list and every time someone screen shares focus is taken hostage by that.

I've had this app installed on my Mac for a good while and like it. Jonathan Mosen's audio guide for it is very good, and I need to go back and listen to it again at some point. My only question is this. Is there a way to view translations in Zoom with VoiceOver? Earlier this morning I was in a meeting which was international in scope and there were some Spanish and French speakers. There was also someone from India who spoke a language which I've never even heard of. It would be cool to have this capability with VoiceOver. Also, I am in the market for new earbuds or other headphones so I admittedly haven't been able to use VO while a meeting is in progress. I'd like to do that though, just to check it out. But this app and its associated developers deserve high marks for making it work with VO and other screen readers.

Does anyone know of an accessible way to use Virtual backgrounds on Zoom? When I try there are no photo descriptions like there are on Google Meet, and I can't figure out what any of them are.
