Completely inaccessible
Hi. I'm happy to give you feedback, and even provide a screen recording of what VoiceOver reads, please eMail me at robotech8000@gmail.com
not accessible
when I open the game, all voice over reads is a text field, and when I tried to type something in that text field, it seems like I can't type at all. nothing else is read. maybe u should start voice over and tried it out to see if anything can be read at all first.
My Experience
When I opened the game it placed me in landscape mode automatically. When I was in the edit box I was able to bring up the keyboard and typed my name. I was not sure how to continue to exit the edit field. I exited by dismissing the keyboard. I was not able to navigate anywhere else except the edit field.
I really like the concept of the game and lookingg forward to playing it!
I'm using an iPhone 6 Plus running IOS 10.3.3.
Thanks,
JoAnn
My experience
The same for me here. It asks if the game can send me notifications. I agree and am presented with a text box. I attempt to type my name in it but it doesn't seem readable. Once done there seems to be no other accessible buttons to voiceover. I'm on an iPhone 7 plus running the latest iOS.
Why is it that the developers
Why is it that the developers of applications sometimes want accessibility feedback and have never even turn on voiceover. I was actually looking forward to downloading this thing until I read the comments. It sounded really cool.
Kinda strange question, but
Kinda strange question, but turn off VO, and start tapping on the screen and see what happens then. Some games are like this, where the opening screen doesn't speak or do anything, but if you tap on the screen without VO on, then maybe it'll do something.
it's worth a shot! What do ya have to loose?
My Experience Without Voice Over
Hi,
I turned off Voice Over and tapped in the top left corner of the screen. It pulled up a black colored box. I don't have enough vision to tell what is in the black box. I turned on Voice Over and the edit field was the only thing that Voice Over saw. I was not able to go anywhere else on the screen and the keyboard comes up.
I think this game is great as accessibility of the game improves! Thank you to the developers of the game for working on making this game fully accessible!
Thank you,
JoAnn
question for sunflower
I mean no disrespect when I ask this, but is this a joke?
I am having the same issues as everyone else.
I had a sighted friend start the game and go a little ways into it and then turned voice over back on and again it would read nothing but an edit field.
So Sunflower I ask you are we doing something wrong?
Any advice you could give us would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your feedback. I
Thanks for your feedback. I am so sorry that there are some bugs with the voiceover. we will fix it as soon as possible.

Quick question for Sunflower
Hi,
What programming language are you using? I know there are a lot of other games who show the inaccessible text field, so this isn't new. I'm wondering if you are using Unity or a language with built-in accessibility hooks like Swift.
I apreciate you asking if this game is accessible, so to do this, I think we should look at what it is programmed on, and then we can know how to make it more accessible.
Thank you
i think it is awesome that you are trying to make this game accessible. It is a good idea. This game seems interesting. I would really like to try an accessible version of this game. I don’t know what tower defence is but have heard it before but never tried it. I don’t know if there are any accessible tower defence games for iOs but am glad you are trying to make it accessible. I am also wondering what language you are using. If it is Unity there is an accessible plugin that can be used to make the game accessible. I know that there are two games that have been accessible that are written using Unity. If it is swift I know that it can be made accessible. I am not sure about spritekit wich is something I haven’t had muck to do with. I am guessing this is Unity. Maybe you shouuld consider contacting another developer of accessible games to get assistance with making the game accessible. Just an idea. Thanks again for trying to make this game accessible.
the new version
sunflower when will the new version be out? and please, instead of asking us to try the game can you please try it with voice over first, smile, to make sure it actually works? thank you for your continued efforts though, but it is missleading, saying you want chedback and you haven't even ensured it works for blind people. also, to keep copying the same response of wore sorry there are bugs with the voiceover, we'll fix soon, rather than writing to each person on here with different anserers is worrying really.

Hi,
I had exactly the same as everyone else did. However the fact this developer wants feedback is good so lets keep incurring him to come back and ask questions. at least they want to make it accessible to us so let's do all we can to help.
what happening
hi what happening with this title? !y say it's accessible when it clearly was not? i do hope it works soon
Hi Haypi Co.
Thank you for taking the time to make your game accessible. I admire your attempts to make the game accessible.
However, it is mostly good to test the app yourself, with VoiceOver enabled, before asking users to test the app. If you do not know what VoiceOver is, or would like to learn about it and how it's used, and how we blind users and low vision users interact/use it, visit https://www.applevis.com/developers. Hope this helps!

update to this title?
hi any update on this title? still not usable?
Excuse me, but the update you
Excuse me, but the update you just released continues to be inaccessible to us, in fact the letters are not voiced by VoisOver and even after writing there is no way to get out of the keyboard. At this point I really believe that you are no longer interested in making this game accessible, so I will delete it from my device.
app devs
I'm sorry but frankly app devs who seem to take this lax approach to accessibility shouldn't even be in the app store. If I had my way at apple and ran the company then equal access would be a top priority for me. no more of this i'm sorry your having bugs with voiceover junk, either you try and make your app accessible especially if it's a game, or get rejected from the app store. laws here in the US need to be stronger and punish devs for taking this back seat approach to accessibility.
Shameful Attitude
When you state that "apps shouldn't be in the app store if they aren't accessible," that's showing an extreme sense of entitlement. The fact is, that's life. If I may quote the Rolling Stones, "You can't always get what you want!" If we continue to act entitled, people will not make accessible apps for us to use. Demanding things from app developers will most likely make the situation worse, and saying you are sorry just is a lame excuse to justify your motives. These posts, in my opinion, are shameful. Whether you realize it or not, this could have an impact on developers' perceptions of the blind comcunity: portraying us as spoiled brats who will whine and gripe until we get what we want. That's not a good outlook for others to have.
Regarding your statement about the fact that apps should be accessible especially if they are games, you need to get your priorties straight. A game is a kind of entertainment. We don't "need" games. They just make our lives a little more fun, but games are not the things people need to first be made accessible. Things that actually help us succeed in life should be put first, not games. I know this is harsh, and some people may be put off by this, but I'm frustrated at some people's lack of tact, and I hope that this post helps them understand how they need to change.
Excuse me a lot but it was
Excuse me a lot but it was the developer who created this post! And after doing so releases a totally inaccessible update. This is not a mockery? If he was not interested in the accessibility of this game he could at least avoid wasting time reading this topic! The tools to make this app accessible are there.
I wonder if the developer
I wonder if the developer actually understood what VoiceOver is, as if you read the description of the game it sounds highly graphical in concept and something that would be very difficult to make accessible with just VoiceOver and say no audio cues due to the level of strategy that I guess is needed for these types of games.
