Apple Music questions

Hi everyone. I’ve just re-subscribed to Apple Music recently, after unsubscribing for a while due to my echo not being supported. Since I left Apple Music a year ago, some changes have taken place due to major software updates. Now I have a couple of questions about the latest version of Apple Music. One: can you adjust your Artist and Genre preferences? In other words, can you re-do the process at the start of your subscription so that Apple gives you better recommendations based on what you like? You used to be able to do this, but I don’t see away any more. To: can you sort songs in a playlist? I have quite a large playlist, and the songs are sorted in order of addition, with the oldest first. I would like to be able to sort them by title to make it easier to find certain songs. Not sure if it’s possible, but I thought I’d ask the question anyway.
Thanks for any feedback

With regard to being able to reset your preferences or maybe change them as if you were a new subscriber, I don't think that's possible, unless of course, you use a new Apple ID, which isn't that desireable, in my opinion. However, maybe there is something that I am not aware of and another forum member could elaborate this one further.

As far as sorting your songs... Go to the Library tab, open Songs, and locate the Sort button in the upper righthand corner of the screen. Then open this and you can easily sort by Artist, Title, or Recently Added. The Sort button is also available for Playlists, Artists, And Albums, with some slightly different available options.

We’re your old playlists still there when you resubscribed?

Hi,
I'm not sure how to reset the music preferences, and as far as sorting playlists, I know that there is a sort button near the top of the screen for IPads when you click on the playlist. Also, Apple Music is now supported on Echo devices, to a certain extent. The only limitations right now are that you can't ask Alexa to add music to or delete music from your library, but I imagine that this will be fixed in a future update since it just came out. Hope this helps.

HeyTh Shelby. I know there’s a sort button on the main playlist screen it’s self, but within the playlist this doesn’t seem to be supported. I think it’s just going to be one of those little annoyances for me. As for the Apple Music on echo, I don’t live in the US, so it’s not currently supported. Pain.

No. Nothing was thEre from my old subscription. I had to re-add everything all over again. It was rough. First world problems I know LOL

I agree with you. Not having the sort button within a playlist has been one of my complaints since the beginning of Apple Music. It's such a common sense feature, at least I thought so anyway. Here's to hoping that it will be given to us at some point.
