Description of App
Immerse yourself in the healing voices of the natural world! Be instantly transported into the great outdoors, where the tonic of wildness will soothe
your spirit and bring a relaxed sense of joy to your day.
Designed primarily for headphone listening, this app features over 80 spacious 3D binaural soundscapes, meticulously gathered by recording artist Lang
Elliott in wild areas across North America and beyond. Audio quality is superb throughout.
• Calm yourself with the all-encompassing voices of thunderstorms, rain, wind and waves.
• Sleep soundly to the rhythmical night songs of insects, frogs and whip-poor-wills, enlivened by the distant hoots and howls of owls and coyotes.
• Relax to the gentle choruses of birds at dawn, or the mesmerizing sounds of birds and brooks combined.
• Awaken to uplifting soundscapes that help clear one’s mind at the beginning of each new day.
• Learn about tracks while listening by reading descriptions that include dates and locations of recordings.
• Use anywhere and anytime … in coffee shops, subways, airport terminals, work places … whenever you feel the need to be soothed by nature’s healing music.
Additional Features:
• TWO FREE ALBUMS (of six tracks each) are included in the basic app, with many more albums available as in-app purchases.
• Individual recordings as well as full albums can be looped indefinitely, with listening durations controlled by a timer when desired.
• User-selected tracks can be added to a “Favorites” list that will behave just like an album.
Why Use Headphones?
My recordings have been made using a special microphone that simulates the human head. To experience the remarkable 3D effect, it is best to listen with
headphones, where the right ear hears only the right channel, and the left ear hears only the left channel. While headphones produce the best result, earbuds
may also be used, but they often have weak bass and boosted treble. To alleviate this problem, we include a special equalization setting specifically tailored
for stock Apple EarPods and AirPods.
To experience nature’s magic in noisy environments, we highly recommend modern “noise cancellation headphones” that greatly decrease the ambient noise.
Yes … it is quite possible to relax into pristine nature even while traveling on a subway or flying in an airplane!
When listening via speakers in a conventional stereo arrangement, both ears hear signals from both speakers, resulting in "crosstalk" that degrades the
spatial cues responsible for a realistic 3D effect. To improve the sense of spaciousness, try placing the speakers out to the sides. In so doing, one's
head reduces crosstalk, allowing one's brain to properly decipher the 3D sound cues. While speaker listening can certainly provide a satisfying experience,
headphones typically yield a much more immersive effect that literally transports the listener into wild nature.

Love it
Going to get a gift card on Wednesday and am going to buy all of the sound. I love the thunder soundscape. It is awesome and it is really realistic. Looking forward to the others.
Can't get past the first album
eHi all, so I tried to use this app, found a button which was either unlabeled or said black something and it took me to the store. Found a set that said getting in to bed. Selected download and it purchased it. Then I can't select anything but rolling thunder. I have recorded a segment in regards to my podcast which is a rough demo, but some of my listeners like the idea I have with it, but I'm stuck. I'm not sure how to proceed.
Pure Nature App
Hi,
There's a button marked "EQ" which is for changing audio settings.
There's one called "Info" which takes you back to the initial info screen.
Once you have started playing a segment, there is a button called "Cross", which is typical of what is used in many apps to take the user back out of a video or other segment back to the main part of the app.
If there are other buttons, I'm not aware of them.
I found nothing that said anything about getting into bed.
If you're using Voiceover and having trouble finding the tracks, you may want to try a three-finger swipe up or down to go from one screen to the next. I did not have to do that though until I had downloaded some of the complete albums.
Hope this helps.
already did that
I've already done that with voice over, and somehow I baught something called getting in to bed, a 6 track album. I doubletapped on the cross at the bottom which took me to another screen. There is elementals, night in to bed, and more. Doubletapped on night in to bed and it allowed me to get it for free. Now, I can't get it to play, it only plays elementals.
understand the app
OK, so I now understand the layout of the app. Now, my question is this. Since we get multiple tracks in the series, and I baught one, and there was one for free, how long does each track last? The album says lets say 60 minutes or 69 minutes, so does the app move from track to track, or how exactly does this work? I do like what I see, and its making more sense. I did a podcast on it, which may appear here on applevis, although, I got confused in some parts, but hopefully my podcast will work if its approved. I do know that there are people who could probably do better. I gave it a shot. Nice app.
Pure Nature
At the very bottom of the screen there is a link that toggles between shuffle album, loop album, and loop track. I don't know how long each track is, but they're certainly not short.
Pure nature
I tried this while on the bus today, and it definitely worked, and I see there's a podcast already but I'll see if thre could be a second one. We'll see what happens, but it is a great app.
Bought all albums
I bought the upgrade. For some reason I cannot download the albums. I tap the download button and it says downloading but I have seen that for an hour now and yes, I have the app open.
comparison question
I have Nature Space, which is just flat incredible. How does this app compare as far as sound quality, sounds variety, and price of packages of sounds? Also, how well does this app work with Aftershokz Bluetooth headsets? Thanks.
some answers
There are good things with both apps. NatureSpace lets me listen to something else while listening to it. There are many more sounds too. The quality is awesome. The Pure Nature track albums aren't that expensive and you can do an one time purchase to get all the albums plus future albums. It is very hard to compare sound quality between apps because they differ. Some sounds are better and some are worse. I have no aftershocks earphones but am using a headset with two headphones and that works great. Both apps, if I remember, have the loop thing.
On ear recomended
My favourite is the kittywake one. I recomend using on ear headphones rather than in ear because it sounds better and is full sterio with a surround feeling.
