Going to travel; need games for my phone

You might want to try Blindie Match. Though it may seem mundane at first, it is quite fun. It’s a game similar to Candy crush, except it doesn’t have as many fancy features, it’s completely free, (no in-app purchases), and it’s 100% accessible.

If you’re in to virtual pet games, Hatchi would be a good game to download. Although it’s $0.99, it’s well worth the price, seeing as you can hatch virtual pets, customize them and lead them on different evolutionary paths, and play games with them. Also, the X2Line games are playable offline, though they’re quite boring and repetitive.

The Game where nothing is as it seems is another great game to download. though it takes up over a gigabyte, it’s worth getting. It is a story-based game set in a virtual reality. The voice-acting and narration are very well done, as well as the plot and gameplay. It will keep you entertained for hours.

Also, the games on Gameworld are playable offline, though they will require an internet connection to refresh statistics.

There is a game called Feer which is now famous among the blind community. It is an endless runner game, the first one to be completely accessible to blind/low vision gamers. In this game, you have to stay alive, running from zombies, disembodied hands, and other various obstacles. The sound effects are scary, (but realistic), and the game is worth playing, despite the scare factor and the price tag.

Finally, if you’re into fairytales, the developers of Audio game Hub 2 have also released a series of games called Twisted tAles. they are basically a combination of a choose-your-own-adventure book and a classic fairytale, such as Red riding Hood. You get to play different characters and influence the plot by making choices, (they can deviate from the fairytale’s original plot.)

Lords and Knights is quite fun, but you need internet access. I've heard Black Box is pretty good, too. If you like role playing games that are text based with multiple choices along the way, there are dozens of them through Host of Game or Choice of Games. You can play these off line, too. I have a couple dozen on my iPhone. You have to pay a few dollars for each of them, though.

If you have good headphones and don't mind people around you hearing cursing when you die, hah hah, then Feer The Game would be a great timekiller during travel.

I will also recommend the FEER. it is the great game to play with.

Its a good, free pack that has more than one game, and you can play for hours.

Feer is amazing. And Dusk is great too. Also Zany Touch (AKa accessible Bop it with cool music.)

Still more games that are playable offline. Word Rescue, made byAppA11Y, (who developed gameworld), is basically a standalone version of the game Word Builder in gameworld. You are given some letters, and different-length words you must build with them, (e.g. a 3-letter word and 2 4-letter words.) A portion of all money you spend on in-app purchases will be donated to an animal rescue charity, but that’s not important in terms of killing time. Keep in mind, though, that this game runs on a coin-based system like GameWorld and the Blindfold games, so unless you watch videos or buy coins, you have a limited amount of hints you can buy.

A Blind Legend is also playable offline. It’s extremely well-received among the blind community of iOS gamers. In this game, you play a blind knight, who is being persecuted by the king and his soldiers because of his disability. He has to use his daughter’s voice to navigate, and he has to fight using audio cues. It is free, with the option to purchase additional lives if desired.

Timecrest is a free game, (with in-app purchases), about a world where magic is possible. In the game, the player has a connection to a person living in that world, and interacts with the person in the other world via a sort of messaging system, where the player chooses the response they want to “send over.” It is an interesting, story-based game, and is extremely accessible. However, since this game involves time travel, you will need to wait for periods of time, or pay using time crystals, which you must either redeem by doing certain things, (like subscribing to the app developer’s Youtube channel or liking their Facebook page), or pay real money for them. This gameplay, though realistic in a sense, is quite frustrating when you need instant gratification or have minimal patience, (AkA me.) :)

You might also want to try Land Of Livia. Only the first chapter of the game is free, but people have said the other chapters are quality content and therefore are worth paying for. IN this RPG, (role playing game), you create a character, name it, and then embark on a quest to solve a conspiracy or something like that, (I haven’t played the game in a little while, so my memory’s a little rusty.) While you complete your quest, you collect items and gems, level up your character’s various stats, (dexterity, intelligence, strength etc etc), and explore new places. Keep in mind, though, that this game is built for busy people, so while your character is traveling, you will have to wait and you cannot pay or otherwise shorten or bypass these wait times.
