Adding an attachment in iOS mail app and another question

Hello all,
If I reply to a message using the iOS mail app how do I add an attachment? I tried this earlier and could find no way to do it. Also if I am in the body of the message editing it, how do I dismiss the keyboard? I tried using the scrub gesture and all it did was back me out of the reply and send me back to the message I was replying to.

Thanks,
Greg Wocher

To add an attachment to a message, turn the rotor to edit and select, "Add attachment," to add a file, or, "Insert photo or video," to add media from the camera. I'm not sure how to dismiss the keyboard.

Try the hide keyboard button. I double tap with 1 finger and it goes away. I know Vo. says you can hit the button, hold and drag to rearrange, but I've never tried that. I have hid it though.
Yeah, I couldn't figure it out at 1st myself. Then once I found the attachment I had to play around with getting it and then try and find what I wanted. I didn't know how to work it. And up til that point, I hadn't used attachments.

I’m so glad others have the same type of questions, away I don’t feel so silly when I scramble to figure them out myself. Thanks guys! LOL

Okay, now it's me who's gonna look silly, but where am I supposed to find that hide keyboard button? Just curious, I've never really had any issues caused by not being able to hide the keyboard manually when I wanted to, but this is just interesting and I'd like to know. :-) I've never seen that anywhere on the keyboard on my iPhone. Is it perhaps just on iPads? Thanks.+

Hi!! Here is where it is for me at least. Go to ! area where the space bar is and go right. At the far right by ! numbers key, you should find it, and Vo. will say `hide keyboard` then 1 finger double tap.
Like I said, it also allows you to drag after double tapping and holding, but I'm not entirely sure what that does, as I have not used that part of it. But, I have used the hide keyboard button. And let me tell you it is a real lifesaver! And here's a tip: if you are in a webpage where you have to input text, and you have to go to the next field, and you double-tap on it and it doesn't go anywhere, push that button and double tap on your text field again. I don't know why it works, and it's a bit quirky, I'll admit it. But, take it from me, it works!! Ive used that button on my ipad many many times! And I don't see why it wouldn't be on iphones, because I have apps that run in portrait mode, and that button is there. But, I don't have an iphone, so, I do not know if that button is there.

The hide keyboard button is still there if you're on emojis. It's in the same area. At the right, it's next to ! delete and space keys.
