My brother-in-law gave me one of these for Christmas a few years ago. All you have to do is plug it into one of the USB? ports on your Mac and then make sure iTunes is open. To import a CD just slide it into the opening on the front of the drive, and it takes it from there. I forget but I think you can speed up and slow down the import process. But I've had mine ever since and really like it. As far as file formats and such, someone else on here would probably be able to assist you. But thus far I've had no problems with mine. VoiceOver isn't really an issue since the drive is only meant for storing CD's during import. Hth and good luck.
