Hello everyone, I would like to know if it is possible to read a PDF document on the  mac with Voiceover, and when doing so, be able to find a particular piece of text in that file and use some kind of find function to jump straight to that piece of text rather than reading through the whole file. This is a function which, if it can be performed on the mac is really useful for reading large files and you want to search for a string of text you know is there. Thank you in advance.

use the search tool in preview, that is the search box in your toolbar, not the vo search command.

Hi, thank you so much, could you just expand on that and tell me the exact steps of what to do?

there is a toolbar. if you use trackpad, it is at the top center of the trackpad.

alternatively, you can use command-f then type in the search string. it is command-f, not vo-f.

all the matching strings will be listed in a table, clicking on any of these to go to the specific page.
