Questions about Feer.

So I've just started playing Feer, and there's something I don't understand. I got up to the third quest, which was to slide 5 times in a single run, and it said there were 5 left. It said there were 5 left irrespective of the fact that I did a few runs with 5 slides in them. In the end, I opted to skip it by spending lights. So what was I doing wrong? Why didn't the amount of runs with 5 slides in them ever change? Just curious. I'd like to go back and actually try to complete it myself, if that's possible.S

Sometimes it will ask you to slide a number of times in one lane. Make sure you are in that lane when you slide.

Ok thanks for the clarification. I just thought sliding was a general term for avoiding anything that would kill you.

Re- powerups. What exactly is the point of the booster and the one that makes you move faster? The others are quite self-explanatory, but those don't make sense to me. Also, is there anywhere where I can hear what sound is what power? Or is there a way to make the game say each time what power you've got.

Next go to help and then power up sounds. There is just one booster that lets you run faster. The other three are light doubler, shield and weapon.

By Andromache on Thursday, November 22, 2018 - 22:55

The Boost powerup makes you invincible from all enemies while it's active. However, since you are moving quite fast, it can be hard to catch lights unless they are already in the lane you're in. You can try to switch lanes while the boost is active to catch them, but I always miss.

ETA: The Weapon powerup can only be used on zombies. So the Boost powerup is different from the weapon.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all that have helped me thus far to become a more proficient feer player. I appreciate it.

Subject line says it all. How do you even play this game? In the toutorial, which I can't even get threw, I try swiping left and right to get the lights or get around the zombies. Every time I miss the lights or even if I do manage to collect all the lights, I get eaten. So how are you expected to even play this game in the first place and how do you know what lane you are in? I tried this game on my Ipad, no luck, so tried on my phone, which has a way smaller screen, no luck their either.

Hi. Not sure if this will help, but remember to hold your phone facing away from you, with the home button to the right. If you are in the left lane, flicking left will result in a dull drum sound. Flicking up jumps you over the hands, and flicking down ducks you under the ravens.Hope that helps a little.Z

Thanks for the help, but I’ve given up on this game. The gestures don’t work most of the time. I can’t tell what lane I’m in. Also, there doesn’t seem to be any documentation for this game apart from the tutorial, which is almost impossible to get through.

Are you wearing headphones when trying to play? Headphones are essential to know where you are in relation to everything else.

I absolutely love this game. Excellent job.

Thanks devs for keeping up with the latest game updates, keep them coming! We've still have a lot of other suggestions on other FEER threads in apple vis also.
Thanks again! :)

This may seem silly but given your difficulties in playing the game, I think it's worth checking. Are you certain that you have the headphones oriented correctly. For example, when you are in the far left lane, you should hear the game noises more so in the left side. One way to know that you are in the left lane is to swipe left twice. Then when you swipe left one more time, you will hear a sound that indicates that you can't go left anymore. The same is said for the far right lanes. Remember, there are only three lanes in all. There is a definite change in the game noises when in either the far left or far right side of the road. When in the center lane, everything balances out to the middle.

Hopefully this will help you to get going.

Make sure that nothing making monster sounds is in front of you. Move so that you always pass by them.

Hi! I'm hardly an expert on FEER, as I often get eaten far too quickly, but here are a couple more tips, gathered from my own experience, which may help people having trouble playing it. Rather than holding my iPhone away from me, I often play this game with the phone either on my lap or on a flat surface, which I find makes the gestures work better for me, as the phone is less likely to wobble under my fingers: I still have it in landscape mode for the game, though, with the home button to the right. As for knowing which lane I'm in, I can tell that from where the sounds of running come from, which often include breathing as well as footsteps: I hear foosteps on the left if I'm in the left lane, in the centre of the stereo field if I'm in the middle lane, and on the right if I'm in the right lane. Be sure to have your headphones or earbuds the right way round, though, otherwise things might get a bit cnfusing. Not that I've ever played FEER with my headphones or earbuds the rwrong way round, but that has accidentally happened with other audio games and got me confused.

I'm wondering if this game can be played without headphones, now that there are phones with stereo speakers.

I'd probably still play with headphones though because it's easier to concentrate.

I'd imagine the stereo speakers on a phone would be too close to be able to play effectivly.

By sockhopsinger on Thursday, November 22, 2018 - 22:55

I have tried to play with stereo speakers, and I was made mince meat the first monster I ran across. I would not recommend it at all.

Hi treky fan,

the most common errors are:
be sure to wear headphones left and right side correct,
swipe on the screen with one finger, not two.
the orientation is landscape, be sure to swipe along parallel to the axis.

if this is all right and working, try to change swipe direction in the options menu,
me personally I need the swipe direction changed otherwise I have problems.

all the best Hansjörg from FEER

I was just wondering, how many levels are there in total?

By David Standen on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 - 22:55

There is no set number of levels as the game is endless. I don't know if you have started playing the game yet but each level has 3 quests for you to complete in order to level up. Of course, if you have enough lights, you can skip specific quests if they are not to your liking.

Hello! Please, in the next update, could you divide the race into very easy, easy, medium, difficult and very difficult, so that you can choose to start the game with the maximum speed? Honestly it makes me a little 'angry that every time I die I must be forced to start running slowly and having to wait to run a lot before reaching maximum speed. I think everyone should be able to choose their degree of difficulty. What do you think? Thank you!

By roman on Friday, February 22, 2019 - 22:55

it also get me angry when I die and I have to wait for the speed to be faster. I love it also.

Hello, guys. I need your help.
For some reason I keep pausing the game and thus I get eaten frequently.
I don't even know how to resume the game. So, in order to keep playing, I have to turn voiceover back on and go to the App switcher and double tap on Feer. Then, I turn voiceover off and hit play. Is there an easier way to resume the game? Sometimes when I need to jump I somehow end up pausing the game and it's making me mad. LOL.
Your help is appreciated. :-)
Cheers

I have the same problem. Using an iPhone XS. Spoke via E-Mail to the devs. Was advised to try to play only in the middle third, from top to bottom, of the iPhone, in order to prevent pausing. Despite the advice, I still have the same problems. Sometimes I just have to get out of the game and then come back in to start over. Actually, since I use the iPhone XS and since the phone itself utilizes the new ways to get to the App Switcher, Notifications, etc., I'm not sure if there really is any way to prevent this from happening or at least I haven't found one yet. Maybe there is something to be done but I'm not a coder so have no ideas. Anyway, try working just in the middle third of the screen. Hopefully this will stop some of the issues.

By Roxann Pollard on Friday, March 22, 2019 - 22:55

I also would like the ability to resume running at a much faster rate than the default slow start.I think this may be intentional, however, but not certain.

By DrummerGuy on Friday, March 22, 2019 - 22:55

Thank you so much for your reply. I noticed that sometimes I, inadvertently, swipe up too close from the bottom and that causes the game to pause. I am trying to be a little more careful now and, even though this still happens, it does not occur as frequently as it did before. Thank you for your reply and for confirming what I was already starting to suspect. Hopefully, things will go better for me now. Good luck to you, too. :-)
Cheers

I think it may actually be an Apple issue. I have noticed many times after doing things like typing a message, if I touch the middle of the screen looking for the send button, I am somehow activating the notification center. It is my understanding that the notification center and control center are supposed to be activated by swiping down from the top of the iPhone, not the middle and/or bottom of the screen. I am wondering if that is really what is happening. Rather than hitting the pause button, maybe the notification center is activating and not the Feer pause button.

Do you know when the next update from Feer will come out?

The first thing is, you can only shoot in Feer while the weapon is active. Secondly, you can only kill zombies. to do this, when the weapon is going and you hear a zomby in your lane, tap the screen once with one finger. You'll be rewarded by hearing the zomby splatter everywhere. If you are playing with the factory theme, you can shoot the robots in the same way.
