I use to be able to type in a contact's name in the search field in FaceTime, and the search results would get populated in the table. However, despite voiceover announcing "search results table", the table is actually recent calls, and not the search results. there doesn't appear to be a way to get to the actual search results.
Has anyone also found this to be the case? Or, is there another way to access the search results.

When I start typing to find a contact, it says there's a table for search results. However, the table seems empty. But in the field where I typed, it automatically fills in with who it thinks I want. You can tap on that entry and a menu should pop up with various options like calling or blocking.
An easier way is if you start typing and VO announces the right contact, just hit Enter and then immediately bring up the context menu for options. Admittedly, it's clunkier.
accessing search results
I can see where the search results are being populated, but no matter what I try, I wasn't able to interact with it what so ever. There is nothing to interact with, nor can I arrow down to access any additional information or options.
Right. I have the same issue.
Right. I have the same issue. But what I'm saying is that if you have two or more contacts that start with the same letters and you're typing in the field with QuickNav turned off, VO should announce the matches that are being found. If you arrow up and down, you should be able to move between the options and then hit Enter on the one you want. Then you can move over and hit the Audio or Video buttons. It'll say something like "attached text" when you're in the box to say who you're calling, and that can be clicked on and you'd get a context menu to block that contact or call them.
managing search results
Hello,
Yes, that method works as you explained, however, the issue I am having is making a voice calls. When I bring up my mother for instance, and hit that audio button, it initiates a FaceTime audio call, but I wish to make a voice call to her phone, not FaceTime audio.
Any workarounds for this?
