Books/iBooks and importing DOCX files

I have a Microsoft DOCX file in DropBox and am trying to import it into Apple Books or iBooks on my iPhone in order to read it. I don't see iBooks or Books in any of the Export or Sharing options.

Can Books or iBooks be used to read DOXC documents? If not, is there another free app I can use for this without losing my place in the document if I don't read it all at once?

I thought I was somehow able to read DOCX books with iBooks in the past.

I also tried importing the document into Read2Go but it never showed up there despite the fact it was in one of the options for Exporting or Sharing.

Thanks.

Hi,
Voice Dream Reader is not a free app. You can import docx files and it works well for reading books etc. It will continue reading where you last stopped reading.
Thanks,

I'm not sure if you can import docx files into iBooks, but what you could do is use a free app called clout convert to turn that document in to an ePub file, then you should be able to open it in iBooks with no trouble. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions an I'll be happy to help.

Thanks for the suggestion of Clout Convert. I will have to check that out.

In the meantime I imported the DOCX document into Pages, converted it to PDF within Pages, and exported to Books. That worked fine in this case.
