Hello all,
I have an iPhone 7 plus that I put on the beta for iOS 12. After it released to the public I went in and deleted the beta profile so I would be back on the normal track for software. The odd thing is my phone still wants to install the latest iOS 12.1 beta. I do not wantt to do this because I hope to get a new 10S soon. If I back up my phone to iCloud with the beta on it I won't be able to restore to a new phone since the phone will only have the normal iOS 12 on it. How can I get rid of the beta on my phone without losing all my data?

Removing Profile
Hello Greg.
From the sound of it you did the right thing by going to the Settings -> General -> Profile and removed the beta profile. What I have found in the past is that I had to reset the device and go back to check the Profile again. For odd reason it popped back up and I had to do the step over again by that next reset it was gone now.
Now if the Beta Profile is indeed gone and is not being displayed under the Profile settings. That is indeed something new I have not seen before. Unless, for some reason it had already downloaded that beta and simply is waiting for you to install it. If that is the case, you will need to remove that downloaded file. You can do this with in the Storage area. This must be done, or you will keep getting the notice that the new beta is ready to be installed.
I sure wish I had an answer for you, but I have seen this before and least wanted to chime in. If you had done the above process. I can only hope someone else may be able to help you out. Please keep me in touch as I like to know if you were able to stop this and how you were able to do that.

You need to unenrol
I'm not sure if this is correct because the last beta I used was from iOS 10 so my recollections may not be correct, but you actually need to go to the Apple beta page at beta.apple.com and unenrol your device from there.
Removing the update
Hi Greg, It sounds like the beta has been downloaded so in order for you to completely remove betas from your device is to go to settings> General> iPhone Storage> and finding the iOS 12.1 beta, double tap on it and there is an option to delete the update. Restart your iPhone and that should do it.

Sorta fixed
Hello all,
My issue is sorta fixed. I reset my phone by powering it off and on again. This is probably the third time I have done it since I removed the beta profile. Now when I check for software updates it says my phone is up to date with iOS 12. The issue now is that it still tells me that I have an update available. I went into general/iPhone storage to look to see if there was an update in there that had downloaded but I don't see anything. I wonder if I should try a hard reset?
