Premium Voices

Hello guys Just got my hands on my new iPhone 5 and restored it from the last iPhone 3GS backup. I wanted to switch over to the new iPhone in part due to premium voices availability. However I found myself stuck with Compact Voice again.IN settings I turned compact voice off, but to no avail. Could someone please tell me what to do? Thanks in advance

Hi there, In VoiceOver settings, were you able to change the "use compact voice" option onand off? Also, what language/region settings are you using?

Hi, plug the phone in, ensure it's connected to Wifi, and eventually, the premium voice will start to work. It's a fairly large download and it isn't built into the phone.

Hello! Yes, most if not all suggestions mentioned above is correct. First, make sure your Compact is set to Off. Once you have done this then what we need to do is make sure that your device is on wi-fi. This is eimportant that you do this. If you don't it will not work. So even if you have data connection by your cell provider it still won't work. You must have the wi-fi on and connected. Make sure that your device is also plugged in to an electrical source. Now, depending on your internet speed. It make some time to wait for the download to start and to complete. It will at some point be finished. So patience is the king word here. If this still doesn't work for you. Let us know and we will see what we can't do. HTH

Thanks guys. Samantha voice is premium now. But Daniel sounds somewhat odd. I Is it possible to change it's pitch? I wish it sounded like Daniel in Mac OS X.

Hi Felix I having the safe issues since my iPhone 4S and now with the 5. I have seem two differences ways to fix it and works for me. What should you do? The first way It's the same that guys had submited on the previous comments, it it it's mean you need follow the steps below *make sure you iPhone is connected at Wifi Settings /wifi /wifi On Plug the iPhone using the core on other words put the iPhone to charged. *leave it alone sometimes the premium voices download so quick and utter times you don't see results Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / compact voice Second way It it works only using backup If you use iClod it doesn't work for you Personally I use backup on my PC and skip the first way * backup the iPhone to the PC or Mac before erase all settings and content * on the iPhone erase all content and settings * once the device is backing On hit triple click home VoiceOver will start talking * configure your iPhone Language, region, wifi, apple ID etc * select backup or you could do layer * this process works for me this process is so quickly I do around 1 hour

You'll get the premium voice for your default language only. Any other voice you have on your language rotor will be compact.
