The auto language switching in macOS

My question is about the auto language switching in macOS .
Does it only work with safari , cause I cant get it to work in the system apps or apps like pages

It seems to work anywhere you're dealing with web content. Initially it was only Safari and anything using WebKit, but Chrome has started working with it as well recently.
