Safari 12.0 Not Working With Gmail?

Hi all,

Today, after my Safari was updated to version 12.0, I opened my Gmail and was surprised to find that when I open an email, the whole email is just a "group". There's no way to read an email in the web interface anymore.

Has anyone else experience this? Is there a work around?

Hey! Well, there we go, it's not just me :)
First, I don't have a solution.
Second, this morning I was very confused why it happened. First, I blamed Google, but apparently it's because of a safari update. I also tested it with google chrome, but as I understand, it uses parts of safari web kit, gmail is broken there as well.

I have now started using the stupid Apple mail, but I really hope Apple fixes it soon, since I rely heavily on gmail and a lot of it's advanced features like scheduling

I'm also experiencing this issue after installing the Safari 12 update on my mid-2013 MBA running OS 10.13.6. Switching back to GMail's Basic HTML View enabled me to again read the message content.
