Hello all. As you know, I live in Greece and I would like to launch an internet radio station about blind individuals and the way they are treated in this country. Does anyone know of an voiceover accessible app that would allow me to broadcast live? I don’t just want to play songs. I’d like to do live podcasting and discussions. Thanks for your time. The setup we use
Hello,
I work at Blind Power, which is a small internet radio station.
To do our live shows, we combine two products:
First, we use Bossjock Studio to basically produce the show: Mixing music, jingles and live voice into one good bit of audio.

Then, to send this out into the World Wide Web, we use ICast 2, as discussed here:
https://www.applevis.com/apps/ios/music/icast-2
This app will send out mp3, aac+ or some other audio streams to an Icecast server of your choice.
We‘ve been using this setup for quite some time, and it works all right.
Sad thing is that neither of these apps enjoy frequent updates. ICast 2 just received an upgrade, but Bossjock Studio has not been touched for more than two years I think. This doesn‘t need to be a bad thing. However, I must warn you if you need technical support, you may not get it from the developers.

Backpack Studio is Bossjock’s replacement

As the previous poster said, good luck with your broadcast. You might want to consider Backpack Studio, as it is the replacement for Bossjock. It does pretty much the same thing Bossjock did with unlimited pads for loading sounds, and the app is currently being worked on for a future update. It’s well worth the price in my opinion. I have ICAST, but have limited experience with the setup due to lack of a server at this point. Still, both apps are amazing companions for those wishing to make a broadcasting solution portable. Yep, I second your vote for Backpack. Plus: They‘re working on adding streaming capabilities. Which means that soon it can all be done from within one convenient, accessible app.
Backpack studio and ICast
Backpack studio and Icast is the way to go for right now. I don't broadcast on my phone, usually either use SPL if I'm on windows or audio highjack pro if I'm on mac and a complex setup here in the studio for streaming out.
