Hi guys I'm new to the forums and hop I chose the right forum. Here's the question I have is there a navigation that will allow you to create your own walking path from point A to point B and keep on using that route? I live in an area where there very few sidewalks and has a large parking and lots of islands and green areas. you have to traverse sidewalks and through greenways and cross islands to get to the main driveto the apartment complex.Mobility instructors have even trouble a good route. I have checked some apps but not sure if they will allow me to create my own route if anyone knows of any please let me know.
thanks

First, I assume you want navigation apps, not GPS apps. In fact, no iPhone application confines itself solely to the United States Geo Positioning System. The iPhone uses GPS, the Russian satellite system and for iPhone 7 and above, the European satellite system. Further, the iPhone uses your distance from cell towers and known Wi-Fi hotspots to locate you as well. Apps use all or some of these to locate you. The My Way and My Way Lite apps from the Swiss Federation of the Blind offer bread crumb navigation. Also, you can create your own locations with Blind Square and nearby Explorer. The locations are organized with the closest appearing first.

The Run Go app allows you to create a route ahead of time, either on your phone or computer, as well as saving a route to reuse it later.

I have not found route creation to be much fun. It works, but it can be quirky sometimes. You may want to get your instructor to work with you to create it.
